    Obituary:
Warren F. Joosten, 79, Rudolph, died peacefully at Saint Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield on Tuesday, Aug. 4, 2009, surrounded by his loving family.
Warren Francis Joosten was born in Rudolph on March 1, 1930, to Martin and Anna (Stelzer) Joosten. He was raised and educated in Rudolph, and graduated from Rudolph High School.
Warren served his country during the Korean War from 1952 to 1954 in the Army. On June 1, 1957, he married Virginia (Ginny) A. Krueger in Milladore. He was owner and operator of the Rudolph Locker Plant until his retirement in 1988.
Warren was a proud member of the Rudolph American Legion Post No. 485 and the Catholic Order of Foresters. He enjoyed making sausage, hosting pig roasts and playing cards with friends at home and at the Lowell Center. He especially enjoyed playing cribbage with Chub and Lorraine.
Warren was an avid golfer and enjoyed his Tuesday golf date with the Rudolph "Bunch" and George. He was very proud of his hole-in-one. He loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Warren is survived by his wife, Virginia; and his children, Jeff (Judith) Joosten, Bartonville, Ill., Barb (Jim) Connelly, Sobieski, Steve (Julie) Joosten, Oak Creek, and Brian (Patty) Joosten, Little Chute; eight grandchildren, Jaimie, Jacob, McKenna, Patrick, Jules, Abigail, Jack, and Olivia; one sister, Dorothy; and four brothers, Donald, Melvin, Jesse, and Gene. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Raymond.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Taylor, Vollert and Jennings Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids; and from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Saturday prior to the service at St. Philip's the Apostle Church in Rudolph.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Philip's the Apostle Church in Rudolph. Burial will follow in All Souls Cemetery with military rites provided by American Legion Post No. 485.
The family would like to thank Rudolph First Responders and St. Joseph's Hospital staff for their excellent care of Warren. Special thanks to all of Warren's neighbors who helped out.
