    Robert "Bob" J. Leidel, 88, Green Bay, died Saturday, Nov. 7, 2009, at a local assisted living facility. He was born June 11, 1921, to the late William and Anna (Spierings) Leidel in Green Bay. He served his country in the Army during World War II. On April 10, 1947, he married Mary Meulemans Vandenberg in Green Bay. She preceded him in death in 1978. Before his retirement, Bob had been employed with Georgia Pacific as a paper mill worker.
    Survivors include one brother, Donald (late Marcella), Green Bay; one stepdaughter, Eunice Mertens, Green Bay; several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
    In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by one brother, John Leidel; two step-daughters, Rosella (Raymond) Micke, Lillian (Clarence) Neumyer; one stepson, Melvin Vandenberg.
    Friends may call after 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 11, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1224 12th Avenue, where a Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11 a.m. with the Fr. Timothy Brandt officiating. Online condolences may be expressed at www.lyndahl.com.
    The family requests that memorials be given to St. Joseph's Catholic Church.
    The family would like to thank the staff of Unity Hospice, Birch Creek Assisted Living, and St. Mary's Hospital for all their care and concern.
