    Obituary:
    Mrs. Edward Nilles passed away Friday evening last week following an illness of several months. Mr. Nilles suffered a slight paralytic stroke last November, from which she recovered, but has not enjoyed very good health since. She was fatally stricken last Friday.
    Leona Koehler Nilles, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Koehler, was born June 18, 1904, in North Chilton town. In the fall of 1904, Mr. and Mrs. Koehler moved to Hilbert and here Mrs. Nilles grew to womanhood, receiving her education at the public and parochial schools. She was well versed in music and for several years played the pipe organ at St. Mary's Catholic church. She was married to Edward Nilles here at St. Mary's church November 7, 1928, and has made her home here since. She served for some time as local telephone operator. Mrs. Nilles was of a pleasant happy disposition and during her long illness looked upon the brighter side of life, ever hopeful of recovery. She was an active member of St. Mary's Christian Mother's society.
    Survivors besides her husband are one son, John; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Koehler; two sisters, Misses Marie and Ermina Koehler; one brother, Alvin.
    Funeral services were held Tuesday morning at St. Mary's Catholic church with interment in St. Mary's cemetery. Rev. Raymond Fox officiated.

    Obituary:
    Georgiana J. Heimerman ("Georgie"), 87, Appleton, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, left the loving embrace of her earthly family on Wednesday, January 5, 2011, after a courageous second battle with cancer. Georgie was born on January 18, 1923, in Hilbert, Wisconsin, to the late Jacob and Catherine (Koehler) Schmidlkofer, the sixth of their loving family of seven children. The family later moved to Kaukauna where Georgie was active in sports and played French horn in the Kaukauna High School band. Georgie grew up as part of the "Greatest Generation," experiencing both the Great Depression and World War II. After high school, Georgie was a metal lathe operator for the War effort. She married Florian Heimerman on August 28, 1943, and the couple resided in New York during the war years, then returned to the Fox Valley area. They later bought and operated the Tangiers supper club in Oconto, Wisconsin, for around 18 years. After the couple divorced, Georgie ran the senior meal site for Oconto and later was employed in food service at the Oconto Hospital. Georgie moved to Appleton in 1990 to be closer to her family. She was an avid bird watcher, enjoyed fishing (especially at the lake with Steve), participated in women's golf and bowling leagues, and also enjoyed card and game playing, gardening and reading and music (especially classical and Neil Diamond). She was blessed to enjoy traveling to many places (many with Sue and Dick), including Austria, Germany, Venice, Florida, the Bahamas, California, Kentucky, Hawaii, Pennsylvania, Alaska, Colorado and Canada, and shows at the Fireside with her friend Jim. Georgie was loved by all who met her - she treated everyone as her best friend and was the first to volunteer to help others in times of trouble. She had a calm manner, great wisdom, and an outstanding ability to make the best of whatever life threw her way. Georgie enjoyed living her last few years at the Linwood Apartments and made many friends there.
    Georgie will be so deeply missed by her eight children: Judy (Tom) Garot, Little Chute; Steve (Patti) Heimerman, Oconto; Mary Lou (Bob) Myers, Tulsa, OK; Ken Heimerman, Wausau; Sue (Dick) Meseberg, Madison; Don Heimerman, Green Bay; John (Tina) Heimerman, Green Bay and Ann (John) Hardginski, Menasha. Georgie was a terrific grandmother, known for her special love of babies and her grandchildren were the light of her life - Jon (Beth) Olsen, Rob Olsen, Linda Olsen, Andrew Heimerman, Paula (Paul) Le Calsey, Nick and Joey Myers, Zak Heimerman, Michael Meseberg, Alex and Bennett Heimerman and Brianna, Luke, Tavia and Rachel Hardginski. Georgie also is survived by three great-grandaughters, Elena and Leah Olsen and Sophia LeCalsey. She is further survived by a sister, Stella Vils, Kaukauna, nieces, nephews, her in-laws: LeRoy (Pauline) Heimerman, Ceil Goerl, Doris (John) Weyers, Joyce (Ray) Lake, all of Appleton; Dennis (Marianne) Heimerman of Clintonville, and other relatives and friends.
    She was preceded in death by her parents, her former husband, Florian, one brother and four sisters.
    A celebration of Georgie's life will be held on Sunday, January 9, at Valley Funeral Home with visitation at 12:30 p.m. A memorial service will follow at 2:30 p.m. Visitation and a Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, January 10, at St. Pius X Parish, 500 W. Marquette Avenue, Appleton, WI beginning at 10 followed by Mass at 11:30 a.m.
    The family would like to thank Dr. Sonya Eiben for her many years of good care. We also acknowledge the staff of Fox Valley Hematology and Oncology (Dr. A. Phillips), and the staff who cared for Mom at Brewster Village and Affinity Hospice.
    A memorial fund for Georgie is being established.

    Margaret I. Thiel, age 65, of Menasha, formerly of Hilbert, passed away surrounded by her beloved husband, daughter and granddaughter on Monday, April 28, 2008. On October 7, 1961, she was married to Lloyd Thiel at St. Mary's Church in Hilbert. Marge recently retired after twenty years of service with the Menasha Corporation. Marge was also an integral part of Thiel & Thiel Trucking since 1990. Prior to that, she was in management with High Cliff Supper Club. In addition, Marge and Lloyd ran a successful dairy farm in the Hilbert area for nearly four decades. Marge's professional accomplishments spanned her entire life and is a testament to her enduring work ethic. Marge was enthusiastic about the outdoors, had a love for gardening with a gifted green thumb and passion for butterflies. Reading was a favorite pastime while enjoying American history and biographies. She will be remembered for her dedication to her family, pursuit of excellence and being a wonderful cook, making every holiday special.
    Margaret is survived by her husband, Lloyd Thiel; her daughter, Lori (Pete Johnson) Thiel; her granddaughter, Brittany Thiel; her sisters and brothers: Barb (Dick) Bruce, Kathy (Lonnie) Wagner, Mary Jo Dietzen, Kurt (Diana) Koehler, Candace (Lonnie) Wolf and William (Lorelei) Koehler, her sister-in-law, Lorraine Koehler, three special God Children, Wendy Gehl, Marv Thiel, Kris Koehler, as well as many other relatives and friends.
    She was preceded in death by her mother, Margaret (Brandel) Koehler and by her brothers, Robert and John Koehler.
    A memorial service for Margaret will be held on Saturday, May 3, 2008, at 7 p.m. at Westgor Funeral Home, Menasha with Deacon Jerry Cross officiating. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Saturday from 4-7 p.m. A memorial fund is being established in her name.
