    Otto R. Jeske, 92, Appleton, passed away on Monday, Sept. 22, 2008, at home. Otto was born in the Town of Seymour, on April 30, 1916, son of the late Albert and Ida (Court) Jeske. He accepted the Gospel of Christ in his teen years and was faithful to the faith all his life. He is a Veteran of World War II, having spent more than four years in the Air Corps, 32 months of them stationed in India. He was united in marriage to Dorothy Naef at Wausau, Wis., on June 29, 1945. They lived in California two years, then for 52 years on High Cliff Rd. near Sherwood, Wis., before moving in 2000 to Appleton. He worked for the Town of Harrison for 30 years.
    Otto is survived by his wife, Dorothy; three children, Clifford (Mary Faye) Jeske, Peoria, Ill.; Adele Jeske, Bangladesh, Asia; Deborah (Dan) Hemauer, Appleton; two grandchildren; a great-grandson; brother, Robert (Arlene), Seymour; sister, Ella Kaatz, Swanton, Ohio.
    He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Hilda Jeske in 1980 and Olga Jeske in 2008; brother-in-law, Gerald Kaatz in 2008.
    Funeral services for Otto will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2008, at Baseman Floors (N2926 Jeske Rd., Appleton) with Charles Thain and Gaylen Van Loon officiating. Visitation for Otto will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 29, 2008, at Valley Funeral Home and again on Tuesday at Baseman Floors from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park Cemetery.
    The family would like to thank the Rennes Center and ThedaCare at Home Hospice for their help in caring for our dear Dad!

    Robert "Bob" A. Jeske, age 93, of Seymour passed away Thursday, September 12, 2013 at St. Mary's Hospital in Green Bay. He was born on January 29, 1920 to the late Albert and Ida (Court) Jeske.
    He married Arlene Schlack on August 24, 1949 in Appleton and the couple enjoyed 64 years of marriage.
    Robert remained on the family dairy farm where he was born until retiring and moving into Seymour. He was very proud of his red Holsteins and his Oliver tractors.
    Robert and Arlene enjoyed going on anniversary trips. They visited every state except for Hawaii.
    He is survived by his wife, Arlene; three children: Norbert (Mary Stevens) Jeske, Berkeley, CA; Karen Jeske, Green Bay; Kelly (Rachel) Jeske; Lebanon, WI; four grandchildren: Crystal (Nathan), Christine (Joseph), Christy, and Christa (Terry); four great-grandchildren: Jonathan, Matthew, Elizabeth, and Nicholas. Further survived by his sister Ella Kaatz, Arizona, and sister-in-law Dorothy Jeske, Darboy; and several nieces, nephews, and friends.
    Robert was preceded in death by a grandson, Christopher; three sisters: Olga Jeske, Hilda Jeske, and infant Grace; brother Otto; and brother-in-law Gerald Kaatz.
    Friends may call at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour, on Monday, September 16, 2013 from 4 pm until funeral services at 7 pm with Luther Raine and Stanley March officiating. Entombment will take place at Highland Memorial Park, Appleton.

    Obituary:
    Frieda I. Feurig, age 98, of Seymour passed away on Monday, November 4, 2013 at Good Shepherd Nursing Home. She was born January 1, 1915 daughter of the late Emil Sr. and Martha (Jeske) Gosse in the Town of Cicero.
    On November 28, 1946 she was united in marriage to Don Feurig in Black Creek, celebrating almost 67 years of marriage.
    She was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church where she was active for many years in the altar guild.
    Frieda earned her teaching degree from UW Stevens Point. She taught in Hawkins, Tomahawk, and retired from Rock Ledge Elementary after 45 years of teaching.
    Following retirement Frieda volunteered at Meadow Wood, Good Shepherd Nursing Home, Seymour Historical Society, Home of the Hamburger, and provided in-home respite care.
    Frieda was an avid golfer and charter member of Crystal Springs Golf Course. She and Don attended and cheered for the Seymour Thunder at many different sporting events throughout the years. As a season ticket holder since 1948, she was a definitely a big Green Bay Packer fan.
    Frieda also enjoyed her big garden and traveling with Don.
    Survivors include her husband, Don; daughter, Susan (Eric) Ludvigson, De Pere; grandsons: Adam, Milwaukee; and Matthew, Minneapolis; one brother, Emil Gosse, Seymour. Also survived by many precious nieces and nephews.
    Preceded in death by sisters: Emma (Roger) Rusch and Sadie; one brother, Elmer; three sisters-in-law: Rita, Marian, and Peg Gosse; two brothers-in-law: Gustav (Beth) Feurig and Dr. James S. (Betty) Feurig.
    Friends may call at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Seymour, on Monday, November 11, 2013 from 9:00 a.m. until services at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Roland Lindeman officiating. Burial will take place at Veteran's Memorial Cemetery in King. Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour, is assisting the family with arrangements.

    Special to Post Crescent Seymour - Sadie Gosse, 3-year-old daughter of Emil Gosse, town clerk of Cicero, died Wednesday night of scarlet fever.     Obituary:
    Emil H. Gosse, 91, of Seymour, peacefully left this world behind on Thursday, November 5, 2015 to join his wife Rita, the love of his life, in heaven. He was born November 23, 1923, son of the late Emil F. and Martha (Jeske) Gosse. He was a life-long resident of Seymour. Emil was an Army Veteran of WWII having served with the 76th Infantry Division in the Battle of the Bulge, European Theater. After the war, he met and married his eternal love, Rita Lancour Gosse on September 3, 1949, in Kaukauna, WI. Rita preceded him in death November 18, 2007.
    Emil graduated from UW Madison, first working in insurance with his father and then with the US Postal Service for 31 years before his retirement. He was a member of the American Legion and the VFW Seymour Post. He was an avid packer fan, holding season tickets for over 60 years.
    Through the years, he and Rita were members of Crystal Springs Golf Course and the club's senior group.
    One of his great joys was the family cottage in Beecher Lake/Pembine, WI where he spent many hours fishing the Menominee River with Rita and enjoying time with family. But his greatest joy and pride was with their two daughters and sons-in-law, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
    Survivors include: their daughters: Becky (John) Krugman, Madison and Julie (Larry) Scheich, Green Bay; three grandchildren: Pam (Travis) Baranczyk, Sobieski, Scott (Amanda) Lardinois, Madison; Mike Lardinois, Minneapolis; step-grandchildren: Wendy Krugman (friend Jason), Madison; Pam Krugman (friend Mark) Royal Oak, MI; Mandy (Steve) Albrecht, Portage; and great-grandchildren: Lexi and Beau Baranczyk, and Xavier and Genesis Albrecht; brothers-in-law) Don Feurig, Seymour, Tom (Mary Ann) Lancour, Seymour, Vince (Betty) Ferrari, Arizona; sisters-in-law: Osa (Ed) Herreid, Trevor; Mary Ann Nordstrom, Arizona; Verona (Gene) Haessly, Kaukauna; Lee Lancour, Kaukauna; and numerous nieces and nephews.

    Adeline Dobesh, age 100 of Green Bay, passed away Sunday, April 23, 2017. She was born February 18, 1917 in Seymour, daughter to the late Arthur and Frieda (Rihm) Jeske.
    Adeline's unwavering faith in Christ was the cornerstone of her life, a foundation and encouragement to family and friends. Her career in the Green Bay Public School Food Service touched the lives of more students and educators than she could ever know.
    Adeline is survived by her only daughter Patricia Ann Krisher; two grand children: Annette (Lance) Jacobsen (nee' Krisher), and Caleb (Karen) Krisher; four great-grand children: Lauren and Dana Jacobsen, AnneMarie and Carson Krisher; her sister, Mary Baseman; and brother, Alfred Jeske. Adeline was preceded in death by her husband Joseph; two sisters: Altine Marx and Ethel Mae Marx; two brothers: Allen and Arthur Jr; and a son in-law, Robert Krisher.
    Funeral service for Adeline will be 11:00 AM on Friday, April 28th at VALLEY FUNERAL HOME, with Bruce Shaw and Luther Raine officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home Friday morning beginning at 9:00 until the 11:00 AM service. Private family burial will follow at Highland Memorial Park.

Alfred worked at Thilmany Pulp and Paper until his retirement; after which he worked at North Shore Golf Course. He was a Veteran of WWII and a member of the VFW. Alfred married Marie Withagen until her death in 1959; married Loretta Blean in 1973 until her death in 2015.
    He is survived by his son Keith (Pam) Jeske, step sons, Joel (Carolyn) Blean and James Blean, daughter Freida (Ken) Haas, step daughters, Judy Valentine and Janice (Terry) Kachigan, 17 grandchildren, 21 greatgrandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister-in-law Mary Baseman.
    Alfred was preceded in death by his wives, son Walter Jeske, sisters, Adeline Dobish, Altine Marx and Mae Marx; brothers, Allen and Arthur Jeske.

    Altine Marx, 90 of Kimberly died Saturday September 8, 2012 at Theda Clark Medical Center. She was born in Seymour, WI February 4, 1922, daughter of the late Arthur and Frieda (Rihm) Jeske. Altine married Lawrence Marx on November 7, 1941. He preceded her in death on April 6, 1983.
    Altine loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren; she was excited to know that two more great grandchildren were on the way in the next couple of months. Family meant everything to Altine. Her other love was being outdoors growing and caring for her flowers. She also enjoyed attending fellowship meetings.
    Altine is survived by her three daughters, Dorothy (Robert) Vogelzang, Madison, Joyce (Raymond) Topinka, Appleton, and Margaret (Daniel) Foth, Appleton; 14 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren, with two more on the way; two sisters, Adeline Dobesh, Green Bay, and Mary Baseman, Appleton; one brother, Alfred (Loretta) Jeske, DePere; daughter in law, Elaine Frohbieter, Wyoming; a very special friend, her "fourth" daughter, Mary Schmidt, Little Chute; and many special nieces, nephews, and close friends. She was preceded in death by her son, Kenneth; two brothers, Allen and Arthur Jr; and one sister, Mae.
    Funeral service will be 11:00 AM on Wednesday September 12, 2012 at VALLEY FUNERAL HOME with Robert Eberhardt and Jeffrey Vogelzang co-officiating.
