Obituary:
Eldred H. Priebe, age 95, of Hilbert, died on Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at the Calumet Medical Center in Chilton. He was born April 9, 1919 in the Town of Rantoul, son of the late William & Ella (Schaefer) Priebe.
In his younger years, Eldred worked on various farms throughout the Hilbert area, assisting farmers with their day to day operations. He married Leola G. Schaefer on October 13, 1940 at Peace Evangelical & Reformed Church in Potter.
He worked 40 years for the Brillion Iron Works until his retirement in 1981.
Throughout his life, Eldred enjoyed dancing Sunday afternoons away with his wife, but it was in retirement that the couple began to travel to wonderful places throughout the United States and the world. He enjoyed his John Deere garden tractor for his yard work, and tending to his garden where there was sure to be an annual harvest of potatoes. Eldred was certainly a Jack of all Trades, so it wasn't uncommon to find him throughout Hilbert helping people with their handyman projects, or clearing snow for the local churches.
Survivors include his wife: Leola; his children: Eldon "Butch" Priebe, Harley Priebe; 3 grandchildren: Connie (Mike) Mallmann, Kelly Reeves, Steve (Mandy) Priebe; his great grandchildren: Matt & Mike Lisowe, Mandy Ruhmlow, & Kayla Reeves; great-great grandchildren: Ava & Chase Priebe & Maya Reeves; and a brother: Willis (Connie) Priebe. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter-in-law: Gloria Priebe; and a brother: LeRoy (Betty) Priebe. Funeral service will be at 11:00 am on Friday, September 26, 2014 at St. Peter Lutheran Church (43 N. 3rd St.) in Hilbert with the Rev. Joel Brassfield officiating. Burial will follow in the Parish Cemetery. Friends may call at the church from 9:30 am until 10:45 am on Friday, September 26, 2014.

Obituary:
Roy Herman Priebe, Appleton, age 92, passed away peacefully in his Savior's arms on Friday, August 31, 2012 at Brewster Village, with his sons and daughters-in-law at his side. LeRoy was born on August 28, 1920 in the Town of Rantoul, son of the late William and Ella (Schaefer) Priebe. On December 20, 1941, LeRoy was married to Betty Jane Retzlaff. LeRoy and Betty made their home in rural Hilbert, where he farmed with his father for six years. They then moved to Hilbert, where he farmed with his father for six years. They then moved to Kaukauna where LeRoy was employed at the Combined Locks paper mill. He retired in 1984 after 36 years of service. LeRoy was a member of Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church, Kaukauna. Throughout the years, he served as a member of the Board of Trustees, Greeter's Club, Men's Club, and on the visiting committee for the sick. LeRoy enjoyed traveling with relatives, recreation dart ball, and watching various sporting events. He especially enjoyed any activities in which his grandchildren and great-grandchildren participated. He really enjoyed his time at Brewster Village riding the bike during physical therapy.
He is survived by his wife of 70 plus years, Betty; sons Dennis (Karen) Priebe and Donald (Edith) Priebe; grandchildren; Dennis Jr. (Kris) Priebe and their children, Kayla and Erika, Brian (Jennifer) Priebe and their children, Alex and Emma, Renee (Greg) Richardson and their children, Julia, Nathan, and Katie, Craig (Jennifer) Priebe and their children, Samuel and Elliot, Michael (Claudia) Priebe, David Priebe, and Scott (Marisol) Priebe; two brothers: Eldred (Leola) Priebe and Willis (Connie) Priebe. LeRoy was preceded in death by two sons: Garry and Gregory, two grandchildren: Steven and Jill as well as Betty's brother, sisters and brothers-in-law.
LeRoy was a loving and devoted husband and a very caring father for his sons and their families. He especially enjoyed visits with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He and his wife enjoyed having daily meditations to his last day.
Funeral services for LeRoy will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 3, 2012 at TRINITY EV. LUTHERAN CHURCH, 804 Grignon St., Kaukauna with Rev. Timothy Wilkins officiating. Friends will be received at the church on Monday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be held at Rantoul Cemetery.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to all the staff at Brewster Village for his care and especially for the assistance and support in his last hours. A special thank you to Pastor Wilkens for his comfort during the afternoon and after his passing on Friday. In lieu of flowers, a memorial may be given to Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church.
