    William Giesen, Jr., 78, Menasha, passed away peacefully on Friday morning, Sept. 26, 2008, at Colony Oaks Care Center. He was born on Jan. 1, 1930, in Horton-ville, son of the late William Sr. and Mabel (Morack) Giesen. After school, Bill proudly served his country with the United States Army. On May 3, 1952, he married Bernice Dunsirn and the couple recently celebrated 56 years of marriage. Bill was employed at Fluor Brothers for the Local 139 for 40 years as a crane operator. He enjoyed hunting, sturgeon spearing, fishing and his retirement living on the lake.
    Bill is survived by his wife of 56 years, Bernice; daughters, Linda Schnetzer, Susan (William) Marcks; step-son, David Rosenthal; daughter-in-law, Christell Schultz; grandchildren, Terri (Steve), Sheri (Dell), Lisa (Chad), Katie, Jyll (Sam), Billy (Nicole), Jake, McKay, Lynn and Danielle; great-grandchildren, Sawyer, Chase, Carter, Delaney, Izabella and Margo. He is further survived by his sisters, Joann (Danny) Schultz, Dorothy (Don) Wilkenson; brother, Lester (Shirley) Giesen; brother-in-law, Vernon Garvey; many nieces and nephews; and a special friend and neighbor, Sue Beschta.
    In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by siblings.
    Visitation will be held on Sunday, Sept. 28, 2008, from 6 to 8 p.m. and again on Monday, Sept. 29, 2008, from 9 to 11 a.m., both at the Wichmann Funeral Home Tri-County Chapel (3212 South Oneida Street). No formal services will be held. Emtombment will be in the Star of Hope Mausoleum at Highland Memorial Park, Appleton.

    JoAnn Mae Schultz, Appleton, age 79, passed away peacefully after a brief illness at St. Elizabeth Hospital on Monday evening, May 10th, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on February 14, 1931, in rural New London, the sixth child of William and Mabel (Morack) Giesen. JoAnn graduated from Hortonville High School with the class of 1948. On June 4, 1955, she married Daniel J. Schultz at St. Therese Catholic Church. During 55 years of marriage, they were blessed with 3 children: Kurt (Special friend Nancy Freude), Oshkosh, Toni (Mark) Shepherd, Winneconne, and Teri (Mark) Woessner, Estero, FL.
    She was employed at Zwickers and Pranges. JoAnn especially enjoyed their family cottage on Legend Lake where she loved the boat rides and fishing on the beach. She enjoyed her annual trip to Teri's in Florida and was a talented crafter and gardener. JoAnn also golfed in the flower golf league and had a wonderful bridge club group. In addition, JoAnn was a Past President of Unit 38 of the American Legion Auxiliary.
    She is survived by her husband; three children; brother Lester (Shirley) Giesen; sister, Dorothy (Don) Wilkinson; three brothers in law: Vernon (Elaine) Garvey, John (Joan) Schultz, and Tom "Red" Schultz (fiance Judy); two sisters in law: Bernice and Jane Giesen; and her special friends Gloria Krull and Cathy Brown.
    She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters: Ruth (Sylvester) Hanson and Emily Garvey; three brothers: John, Lawrence and William Jr., and sister in law Joanne Schultz.
    A Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 13, at St. Mary Catholic Church, 312 S. State St., Appleton, with Father Bob Lexa officiating. Friends may visit directly at the church on Thursday from 9 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will take place at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery, Appleton. A memorial fund has been established.
    The family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Baum, the caring and compassionate staff at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Rennes Rehab Center, and to family and friends for their prayers, support, and thoughtful acts of kindness throughout this difficult time.

    Timothy W. Garvey, age 39, of Menasha, passed away Sunday, August 09, 2015 at home surrounded by his loving family. Tim was born on February 10, 1976 to Daniel and Catherine (Collar) Garvey in Appleton. On August 8, 2009, he married Nickie DeAngelo. Tim served his country in the United States Army. He enjoyed playing cards, fishing and golf, as well as target shooting and watching the Packers play. Tim loved spending time with his kids.
    He is survived by his wife, Nickie, daughters; Abygale, Gabriella and Isabella, sons; Isaac and William, his parents; Cathy (Dave) Kramer, siblings; Danielle (Mark) Hince, Christina Kramer and Nathan Kramer, siblings in law; Angela (David) Westphal and Michael (Jenny) DeAngelo, nieces and nephews; Maggie, Carson, Brandon, Tyler, Sophia and Henry. He is further survived by his parents in law, Ronald and Mary DeAngelo, as well as many other relatives and friends.
    A memorial service for Timothy will be held at 6:00pm, on Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at New Hope Church, 1850 American Dr. Neenah with Pastor Jeff Prewitt officiating. Friends and family may call at the church from 3:00pm until the time of service Tuesday.
