Patricia "Patty" (Yentz) Platt, age 51, of Sheboygan went home to heaven Wednesday, April 4, 2012, surrounded by her family at the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice in Sheboygan Falls.
She was born December 26, 1960 in Sheboygan to Kenneth and Marian (Maltzahn) Krueger. Patty attended Sheboygan schools prior to attending Lakeshore Technical College earning her Certified Nursing Assistant degree. She was a CNA at Terrace Estates in Sheboygan. Patty married her first husband Richard Yentz Sr. on September 10, 1984 in Sheboygan; he preceded her in death. Then on February 14, 2004 Patty married Arnold Platt at St. Andrew Lutheran Church in Sheboygan. Patty enjoyed collecting seal figurines, doing crossword puzzles, and sitting around the bon fire. Patty loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them, especially her nieces and nephews.
Survivors include her mother Marian Scribner of Sheboygan, mother-in-law Loretta Platt of Appleton, husband Arnold "Arnie" Platt of Sheboygan, son Richard Yentz Jr. and his fiancé Marissa of Sheboygan, daughter Jennifer (Luis) Mendez of Sheboygan, step-son Chad (Wendy) Yentz of Sheboygan, 2 step-granddaughters, brothers Robert (Georgia) Krueger of Sheboygan Richard Krueger and his fiancé Denise Sweet of Sheboygan, sisters Debbie (Tom) Eake of Sheboygan Falls, Janice (David) Forkins of Shoto, brother-in-law Bill Platt of Appleton, sisters-in-law Mary (Jerry) Schultz of Appleton, Carol Marshall of Hewitt, WI, brother-in-law Len (Sara) Platt of Kansas City, MO, and by nieces, nephews, cousins and her best friend Debbie (Brad) Hoffman of Cleveland. Patty was also survived by her dog Gizmo and cat Chloe.
Patty was preceded in death by her father Kenneth Krueger, her first husband Richard Yentz Sr., father-in-law Ervin Platt and mother-in-law Evelyn (Fred) Yentz.
Family and friends may call at St. Andrew Lutheran Church 1711 S. 11th Street, Sheboygan on Monday from 4-7 p.m. Memorial service will be held 7 p.m. Monday at the church with the Rev. Howard Fintzen officiating. Private burial will take place at the Wildwood Cemetery, Sheboygan.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established.
