    Obituary:
    Jenkel, James Robert "Jim"
91, Town of Center, ended his journey on this earth on Sunday, September 15, 2013 and joined his beloved wife of over 60 years Margaret who proceeded him to heaven. Jim was born on May 1, 1922 to Fred and Bertha Jenkel on the family farm in the Town of Center. He lived there the majority of his 91 years until his health caused him to move to assisted living. He was a lifelong member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Ellington.
Jim worked on and later owned and operated the Jenkel family farm for almost his entire life. In later years he added driving school bus for Hortonville Area Schools to his resume, even though the bus route made for very long days when coupled with milking the cows and other chores of the farm. He truly enjoyed the kids on his bus and maintained relationships with many of them long after he quit driving.

He is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Jim was preceeded in death by his parents Fred and Bertha Jenkel; his loving wife Margaret; a son Daniel Jenkel; brothers: John (Clara), Clarence (Ramona), Ben (Ruth) and Fred Jenkel; sisters: Anita (Ed) Woehler, Irene (Ed) Ort, Helen (Les) Koss, Florence (Ray) Laudon, and Ruth (Clarence) Remter; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Pat Redlin, John Woods, Earl Woods, Larry Gitter, Bernard (Gertrude) Bruening, Frank Calmes, and Mary (Robert) Reichle.

Burial will take place at Highland Memorial Park, Appleton. Friends may visit the family Wednesday, September 18, 2013, from 5 - 8 PM at the funeral chapel. There also be visitation at the church on Thursday, 9 - 11 AM.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established.
The family would like to say thank you to the staff at Living Tree Estates who made Dad's final months comfortable and enjoyable, and to the staff on the 8th floor of the Appleton Medical Center for their understanding and thoughtfulness that went above and beyond at a very difficult time.
