    MRS. GEORGE EICK Mrs. George Eick, 41, route 4, Seymour, died at her home Sunday evening after a long illness. Survivors are the widower, four children, Clarence, Earl, Eileen, and Lucille; her father, Charles Freiberg, Appleton; two sisters, Mrs. John Haferbecker, Appleton and Mrs. Charlotte Bentz, Milwaukee. Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the home, and at 2:30 at the Lutheran church at Seymour, with the .Rev. Mr. Ohlrogge in charge. Burial will be at Seymour.

    Lucille Van Wyk, age 96, Town of Oneida, passed away Friday, April 8, 2017 at her daughter's home. She was born on August 21, 1920, a daughter of the late George and Jessie (Frieberg) Eick.
    On December 20, 1941, she was united in marriage to Joseph Van Wyk. He preceded her in death on October 20, 2001. She was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Seymour.
    Lucille and Joe farmed their whole life on the family farm in the Town of Oneida.
    She enjoyed painting, having painted everything from portraits to garden art, and loved playing sheepshead. Lucille found great joy working in the flower gardens.
    She is survived by her daughter, Karen (Carl) Vanden Heuvel, Town of Oneida; five grandchildren: Brenda, Neil, Robert Jr., Joel, and David; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
    In addition to her husband and parents, Lucille was preceded in death by two sons: Robert and an infant son, Joey; sister, Eileen (Francis) Kust; brothers, Clarence (Mildred) Eick and Earl (Bernice) Eick.
    Friends may call at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 11, 2017 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Visitation will continue on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Seymour, from 9:30 am until the funeral service at 11:00 am with Pastor Natalie Kramer-McComb officiating.     In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in Lucille's memory.

    Roger C. Eick, 76, of Seymour passed away Wednesday evening, November 7, 2012 at his home after a short illness with cancer. He was born November 6, 1936 son of the late Clarence and Mildred (Landwehr) Eick. On September 21, 1959 he was united in marriage to Janice Stueflat in Green Bay.
    Roger was an Army Veteran and a member of the Green Bay Masonic Lodge. Roger and his wife operated the Coachlite Supper Club, Country Cousins Bar, Granny's Restaurant and Northeastern Roofing in Seymour. He enjoyed his children and grandchildren and working.
    Survivors include his wife, Janice; sons: Troy Eick, Seymour; Todd (Shari) Eick, Seymour; four grandchildren: Tara, Nicole, Allison and Megan; sisters: Shirley Kielar, Seymour; Jean Tierney, Appleton, Marilyn (Tom) Gonnering, Freedom; Patti (John) La Tourneau, Minneapolis; brothers: Tom (Jean) Eick, Seymour; Steve (Nancy) Eick, Seymour; sister-in-laws and brother-in-laws: Pat Eick, Mosinee; Steve Helms, Pulaski; Jean (Jim) Maass, Seymour; Joan Conradt, Pulaski; mother-in-law Tillie Stueflat, Seymour.

    James G. Eick, 1900 Wisconsin St., Mosinee, died Saturday, April 30, 2011, at Hospice House, Wausau, under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services. He was born Feb. 18, 1939, in Seymour, the son of the late Clarence and Mildred (Landwehr) Eick. He married Patricia Van Straten on Aug. 18, 1962, in Black Creek. She survives. Jim received his bachelors degree from UW Oshkosh and his masters from UW Stevens Point.
    He taught history and economics at Mosinee High School for 31 years until his retirement in 1995. Jim's love of government and of his country was evident in his life long service to the community. He served as an alderman for six years and as Mosinee's mayor for 10 years.
    During his term in office the Mosinee industrial park was purchased and developed. Jim also served as a Municipal Judge for four years and as Mosinee's representative on the Marathon County Board for two and a half years.
    Additionally, twice Jim ran for a seat in the State Assembly. He remained an active member of the Mosinee Area Action Committee, the Marathon County Economic Development Corp., and the League of Municipalities. As a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church Jim had a strong faith in God. He loved reading and writing and published a short story in a collection called "The Noble Generation". He also wrote an article published by the Forest History Association of Wisconsin. Jim loved watching sports, especially when his grandchildren were participating. He enjoyed spending time with his family at their cottage in Eagle River, studying genealogy, and playing cards. In retirement he enjoyed traveling with his wife, friends and family members. Jim will be remembered for his many talents and as a man who loved to laugh and to make others laugh. He joked and kidded with his friends to the very end.
    Survivors, besides his wife, Patricia, include a son, Christopher (Megan) Eick, Mosinee; a daughter, Shelly (Mark) McDougall, Chelsea, Mich.; four grandchildren, Jack and Alex McDougall and James and Caroline Eick; eight brothers and sisters, Shirley Kielar, Seymour; Jean Tierney, Appleton; Roger (Janice ) Eick, Seymour; Marilyn (Tom) Gonnering, Freedom; Ken Eick, Green Bay; Patty (John) Letourneau, Ramsey, Minn.; Tom (Jean) Eick and Steve (Nancy) Eick, both of Seymour; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Debbie Helms.
    Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, May 6, 2011, at St. Paul Catholic Church, Mosinee. The Rev. Donald Przybylski will officiate. Burial will be in St. Paul Cemetery, Mosinee. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at Beste Funeral Home, Mosinee, where at 7 p.m. there will be a prayer service followed by sharing of memories. Friends may call again from 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, a scholarship fund at Mosinee High School will be established in Jim's name or donations can be directed to St. Paul's Church Building Fund.

    Gerald "Jerry" Eick, 80, of Seymour passed away early Monday morning, November 27, 2017, at Aurora Medical Center in Green Bay. He was born September 5, 1937, son of the late Earl and Bernice (Prelipp) Eick. On November 8, 1958, he was united in marriage to Harriet Almos.
    Jerry was a Marine Veteran and a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Seymour. He was owner of Seymour Roofing and Siding, and later was employed with H.J. Martin & Sons. Jerry was a past owner of Seymour VFW and Eicks in Isaar. He was a volunteer fireman for the City of Seymour and retired as an Assistant Fire Chief after 26 years.
    He is survived by his wife Harriet; children: Wylie (Ron) Leisgang, Wendy Eick (Jeff Roberts), Jeff (Jennifer) Eick; 9 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one sister, Sally (Eick) Kools-Gavlak; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Janice (Bob) Eick, Susan Patz, and Jerry (Judy) Almos.
    Jerry is preceded in death by an infant brother, Ronald and brother-in-law, Jerry Patz.
    Friends may call at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Seymour on Friday, December 1, 2017 from 4:00 pm until services at 7:00 pm with Pastor Roland Lindeman officiating. Burial will take place in the parish cemetery. Online condolences may be expressed at www.muehlboettcher.com
