    Obituary:
    Harold J. Schroeder, of Hortonville, age 85, passed away on unexpected ly at his residence on January 23, 2006. Harold was born on December 18, 1 920, in Hortonville, son of the late John and Adelia (Bork) Schroede r. On November 16, 1940, he married Dorothy Klause. She preceded him in de ath on April 28, 1981. Harold lived and farmed in the Town of Greenville a ll his life. He and his wife were loving parents to several foster childre n. Harold loved to fish and loved eating his catches even more.Harold is survived by a special friend Lois Martzahl; a daughter, Donna (G eorge) Wildhagen, Appleton; her children: Wendy (Monte) Doxtater, Glenn Wi ldhagen and Barbara Wildhagen; a son, Harold "Harry" (Sue) Schroeder, Appl eton; their children: Stacey (Kelly) Schroeder, John Schroeder, and Tan ya Schroeder; a foster son, Gary (Mavis) Petroff, Black Creek; three siste rs: Doris Voight, Menasha; Frances (Franklin) Raesler, Dale; Ethel Kaphing st, Appleton; great-grandchildren: Dustin, Kyle, Luke and Christy Doxtate r; Jason, Jacob and Michael Wildhagen; Aysia and Charlie Schroeder; Anton io Schroeder and Cody and Cyndal Bocknell; Lois's children: Cal Martzah l, Brad (Dawn) Martzahl, Greg (Becky) Martzahl, Troy Martzahl, Wade (Jud y) Martzahl; Lois's grandchildren: Amanda, Rachel, Jessica, Cam, Brando n, Alexis and Mackenzie Martzahl, Tasia and Chase Parker; and a great-gran dson, Trevan Martzahl.Besides his parents and wife Harold is preceded in death by three infant s: Richard, Betty Lou and Jane Ann; a sister, Adeline Hintz; brothers-in-l aw: Nyle Voight, Roland Kaphingst and Wilbur Hintz.Funeral services for Harold will be held on Thursday, January 26, 200 6, at 11 a.m. at St. Paul Ev.     Roesler, Frances Age 91, of Dale, went to her heavenly home on Tuesday, October 18, 2016, at Theda Care Hospital in Appleton. She was born on February 7, 1925, in Medina, the daughter of the late John and Adela (Bork) Schroeder. She was baptized into Christ on February 22, 1925. She made her solemn vow of Confirmation on April 8, 1938. She graduated from New London High School in 1943. On June 5, 1954, she was united in marriage to Franklin Roesler. Frances worked at AAL (Thrivent), Zwicker Knitting Mill and then the Hortonville Toy Factory. She enjoyed working on puzzles, also cooking and gardening. She was a faithful member of St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church in Dale.
    She is survived by her husband Franklin of 62 years; children: Marsha (Terry) Rockteschel, Greenville; Bruce (Lynn) Roesler, Weyauwega; Carla (Kevin) Quinn, Hortonville; grandchildren: Mike (Rebekah) Rockteschel, Mickie (Jeff) Hedtke, Curtis Roesler, Cassie Roesler, Jaimie (Jay) Vickery, Erika Quinn, Nick (Jamie) Staub; also 6 great-grandchildren; a sister Doris Voigt; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
    Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother Harold (Dorothy) Schroeder; sisters: Adeline (Wilbert) Hintz, Ethel (Roland) Kaphingst; and a grandson Anthony Quinn.
    The Christian Funeral for Frances will be held on Monday, October 24, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church in Dale with Rev. William Finn officiating. Burial will be in Union Cemetery in Dale. A visitation for Frances will be held at the church on Monday from 9:00a.m. until the time of the service.

    Ethel O Kaphingst age 80 passed away on Monday January 7, 2008 at St Elizabeths Hospital after a short battle with cancer. She was born in the Town of Greenville on October 20, 1927 daughter of the late John and Adela (Bork) Schroeder. Ethel was united in marriage to Roland Kaphingst on May 8, 1948. She worked at the Power Company before her marriage. Ethel was a very active member of St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church in Appleton. She enjoyed gardening, canning and going to the cottage or anywhere else she and her husband would travel. Survivors include her children: Dennis (Shari) Kaphingst of Appleton, Gloria (Neil) Wood of Brown Deer, Cheryl (Steve) Lenz of Pardeeville and David Kaphingst of Appleton; four grandchildren: Ryan, Joshua (Melissa), Dana Kaphingst, Joseph Wood; a great grandson Brody; two sisters: Doris Voigt of Menasha and Frances (Franklin) Roesler of Dale. She was preceded in death by her husband, a brother, a sister and many in-laws. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00PM on Thursday January 10, 2008 at St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church on the corner of Morrison and Franklin. Visitation will be held on Thursday January 10, 2008 from 12:00PM until the time of service at the Church and on Wednesday January 9, 2008 from 5:00-7:00PM at Valley Funeral Home. In lieu of other expressions of sympathy a memorial fund is being established.

    Harold O. Schoreder, age 72, of Appleton, passed away early Wednesday, September 16, 2015, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in New London on April 7, 1943 to the late Harold J. and Dorothy (Klause) Schroeder, he graduated from Hortonville High School, class of 1962 and enlisted in the Army National Guard. On December 17, 1966, he married the love of his life, Sue Martzahl. Harold enjoyed working on the family farm; he then worked as a service technician for Fox Tractor for many years, traveling all over the world and with Local 1056, as a Millwright. He enjoyed watching the Packers, hunting with his sons, taking trips with his harem, and most of all, fishing with his buddies.
    He is survived by his wife, Sue, children; Stacey (Lisa) Schroeder, John (Katina) Schroeder and Tanya (Troy) Schroeder, grandchildren; Cody Bucknell, Aysia Lee Schroeder, Antonio Jansen, Cyndal Bucknell, Charlize Schroeder and Destiny Schroeder, sister, Donna (George) Wildhagen and brother, Gary (Mavis) Petroff as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Harold is further survived by his special "harem" Rita Van Linn and Debbie Cummings and his special "fishing buddies" Bob Hanna, Mark Ott, Donnie Dotson, Zack Meyers and many more.
    Preceding Harold in death are his parents, infant sisters, Betty Lou and Jane Ann and infant brother, Richard, grandparents; Karl and Ella (Reffke) Klause and John and Adela (Bork) Schroeder.
    In keeping with Harold's wishes, a celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
    The family wishes to extend a special thank you to their nurse, Jess and the staff at Appleton Medical Center ICU, for all the care and compassion shown to Harold and the family.
    This is not a time for sorrow, but to remember the good times and smile.
