    Obituary:
Michael Allen Caldie died on June 11, 2014, after a short illness. He was born on February 2, 1943, in Appleton, Wisconsin, the son of Roger H. Caldie and Virginia Jahnke Caldie. Michael attended Appleton public schools and graduated from Appleton HS (West) in 1961.
After graduation, Michael enlisted in the United States Air Force. After military discharge, he began full time employment as a hair stylist in Appleton. He moved to Milwaukee, WI, where he continued with his career and passion - helping to make ordinary women happier with their outward appearance. He moved to Fort Myers, FL, in 1996, where he lived until his passing. He had a long list of happy and satisfied clients mainly because he forever had a kind word to say and was at his best when he worked his craft & art. He loved music and always had his stereo tuned in to listen to a wide variety of music.
Michael is survived by his brother, Scott T. Caldie of Bluffton, SC; nieces, Laura (Chris) Richardson of Oakland, CA; and Kristen (Michael) of Odenton, MD; and a nephew, Andrew Brock of Santa Monica, CA; and his "favorite" aunt, Jeanie Caldie Ford (and Noel) of Appleton, WI. His best friend and good "buddy" DeLieu McDonough of Fort Myers, FL will miss him dearly as will his neighbors in the Sandalwood community, especially, Gene and Peggy. He is also survived by cousins who loved to hear the stories of "Uncle Mike" but whom never got to enjoy knowing him as well as others as Michael was a "home body" and did not take to travel.
Michael was preceded in death by his father in 1992, his beloved and kindred spirit sister, Kay L. Brock, in 1993, his partner in life, Ronald Thomson in 2008, his mother in 2011 and Scott's wife, Jeanne, who died in April of 2011 - whom he loved to talk to endlessly about life, fun and family. Michael was a good man; a good friend; a good brother and a good son. RIP
Cremation has taken place and his remains are entombed at the Jacksonville National Cemetery in Jacksonville, FL.
