Obituary:
Helen Hoehne, 82, Menasha, went home to join the Lord, Friday, May 7, 2010. Helen was born Aug. 13, 1927, in Neenah, daughter of George and Gertrude (Sauer) Chaganos. She married Fredrick Hoehne on May 17, 1947, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Neenah, and he preceded her in death Nov. 17, 1996. Helen was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Neenah. For many years Helen volunteered with the Theda Clark Auxiliary at Theda Clark Medical Center, and she attended the Oshkosh Art Association often. Helen enjoyed knitting, crocheting, bowling and crafts. She also enjoyed spending time with her family.
Helen is survived by her son, Leonard Hoehne (special friend, Patty Hittenmiller), Neenah; a daughter, Pat (Carl) Rossal, Wrightstown; a grandson, Jeff Hoehne, Neenah; a daughter-in-law, Pat Hoehne, Oshkosh; a sister, Marion Baldauf, Neenah; sisters-in-law: Thecla Chaganos, Neenah; Audrey Chaganos, Florissant, CO; Margaret (Kenneth) Ratzburg and Marge (Dick) Erickson, both of Neenah; further survived by nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. Helen was also preceded in death by her parents; a son, Jack Hoehne; brothers, Emanuel and John Chaganos; a brother-in-law, Neal Baldauf.
Memorial services will be held at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, May 13, 2010, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 200 N. Commercial Street, Neenah, with Rev. Paul Holte officiating. Inurnment will follow. Visitation will be at the church from 3:30 p.m. Thursday until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established. Helen's family would like to thank the caregivers and medical staff who took care of mom.
