    Obituary:
    Ed Froeming, age 87, passed away at Cherry Meadows on March 16, 2012, following a lengthy illness. He was born in Appleton on February 19, 1925, son of the late Edward and Gertrude (Kohasky) Froeming. On September 20, 1958, Ed married Donna Hipp at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Appleton. From 1943 until 1946, Ed proudly served his country during World War II in the Asian/Pacific Theater as a member of the United States Navy on the USS Baltimore CA68 and was a member of Grand Chute Post #8642 of the VFW. As a young man he worked for Marathon Printing, but most will remember Ed for his long career as a clerk at the Appleton Post Office. He enjoyed gardening, woodworking, and RVing across the country as well as camping with his family at Jellystone, Evergreen, and Huckleberry Campgrounds.
    Ed is survived by his wife: Donna Froeming of Appleton; three children: Jim (Lori) Froeming of Appleton and her son Bill; Sara Froeming of Appleton; and Dave (Debbie) Froeming of Appleton and their children Nathan and Natalie; a sister-in-law: Charlotte Hipp of Appleton; as well as nieces, and nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Bernice (Roland) Weiss and Beatrice (Arley) Kuhn, brothers-in-law: Eugene Hipp and Sheldon Hipp, and a sister-in-law Shirley (August) Pollack.
    The funeral liturgy for Ed will be held at 4:00 PM on Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at ST. THOMAS MORE CATHOLIC CHURCH, 1810 N. McDonald Street in Appleton with Fr. Gerald R. Falk officiating. Full military honors will immediately follow, and entombment will be in Highland Memorial Park. Friends may call at the church on Wednesday afternoon from 2:00 PM until 3:45 PM.     To Dad: I will miss you dearly and know you are enjoying peace and happiness in heaven. Thank you for all the traveling memories and fun times camping. Just remember, my coconut cream pie beats all!
