    Mrs. Mary Moran, aged 83 years, passed away Tuesday evening at the home of her son, W.T. Moran, Park Street, following a week's illness. Mrs. Moran was born in Prescott, Ontario, Canada. She moved to the town of Morrison with her parents and later resided in Green Bay. The deceased came to Kaukauna in 1886 and has resided here since. She was a member of the Sacred Hart Court No. 556 Women Catholic Order of Foresters, Catholic Knights of Wisconsin and St. Mary's church. Survivors are two sons, W.T. Moran, Kaukaun; Leo E. Moran, Oostberg; four daughters, Mrs. Estella Quale, Chicago; Mrs. Edward B. Hogan, Neenah; Mrs. A. R. McDonald, Madison; and Miss Elizabeth Moran, Marinette; four sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Quinette, Rockland, Miss Esther Clark, Milwaukee; Mrs. Hans Christopherson, Milwaukee; and Mrs. Felix De Bouth, Pewaukee and one brother, James Clark of Stanley. Funeral services were held at 9 o'clock this morning from St. Mary's Catholic Church. Interment was in the parish cemetery, Kaukauna Times 2-12-1935 Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Moran, long time resident of Kaukauna who passed away at her home on Park Street last Thursday evening following a week's illness were held from St. Mary's Catholic church Friday morning at 9 o'clock. Rev. Sylvester Stern, assistant pastor in charge. Interment was in the parish cemetery. Honorary bearers were Mrs. Dora Weiler, Mrs. Otto Nickles, Mrs. Arthur Mayer, Mrs. Peter Nettekoven, Mrs. George Brenzel and Mrs. E. R.     Obituary:
    John J. Moran, 48 years of age and former well known resident of Kaukauna, died last week at Los Angeles, Cal. Where he had been a resident for the past number of years. Funeral services were held in Los Angeles last Thursday. The late Mr. Moran was born on May 7, 1879, at Morrison, and moved to Kaukauna with his parents. He attended St. Mary's school here and was also employed in this city after his school days were over. From Kaukauna he moved to Wausau where he was employed in the railroad yards. He was employed by the Southern Pacific Railway company as night yardmaster in the Los Angeles yards at the time of his death which occurred following an operation on September 2nd, for gastric ulcers of the stomach. According to word received from the west, Mr. Moran seemingly rallied from the operation but suffered a relapse on September 17th and gradually sank until his death occurred. The deceased man is survived by his widow, four daughters, Mrs. Myrtle Gerlach, Norrine, Alice and Catherine, and one son, Victor, all of Los Angeles; his mother, Mrs. Mary Moran of Kaukauna; three brothers, W.T. Moran of Kaukauna, Charles Moran of Gary, Ind.; and Leo Moran of Oostburg; and four sisters, Mrs. Edward Hogan of Neenah; Mrs. A. R. McDonald of Madison, Mrs. Stella Quayle of Chicago; and Miss Elizabeth Moran of Marinette.

    Charles H. Moran, aged 53 years, Gary, Ind. A resident of Kaukauna up until 20 years ago. Passed away at midnight Wednesday at St. Elizabeth's hospital in Appleton, following three-week illness. The deceased was born and raised here. He moved to Freeport, Ill, about 20 years ago. From there he moved to Chicago and then to Gary. He was a railroader for 30 years, being employed by the Chicago and Northwestern railway and by the Illinois, Joliet and Eastern railway. He was a a member of the Brotherhood of Railway Trainmen. Survivors are his mother, Mrs. Mary C. Moran, of this city; four sisters Mrs. Edward Hogan of Neenah, Mrs. A.R. McDonald of Madison, Mrs. Stella Quayle of Chicago and Miss Elizabeth Moran of Marinette; and two brothers, Leo Moran of Oostburg and W.T. Moran of this city. Funeral services are to be held at 9 o'clock Saturday morning from St. Mary's Catholic church with Rev. A Roder in charge. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.

Interment was in the parish cemetery. Pall bearers were F.M. Schmidt, Otto Nickles, Julius Elsberlich, Louis Perry, Peter Nettekoven and Jacob Licht. Mr. Moran was a resident of Kaukauna until about 20 years ago. His last residence was at Gary, Ind. He had been visiting in Kaukauna for the last three weeks being ill during his entire stay here.

    Obituary:
    Joe Moran, son of Mr. and Mrs. P.H. Moran of this city, died in the hospital at Wausau at 6:45 Wednesday morning, following Pneumonia and a high fever brought on by exposure during the severe floods at Wausau. Mr. Moran complained of being unwell Saturday and Sunday and was taken to the hospital on Monday, His fever became so high that he was delirious and when the attendant left the room he arose and left the room through a window, falling to the ground. Even later than this he appeared to gain but a relapse came Wednesday morning and he died at 6:45 o'clock. He worked in the C. & N. W. Ry. Yards at Wausau as switchman and was on duty during the heavy rains and floods of last week. He was popular with a host of friends and especially with his railway co-workers. The body has been brought here for burial. The funeral will be held at St. Mary's church on Friday morning at ten-o'clock. Joe Moran was born at Hollandtown on September 12, 1882 and grew to manhood here. He has been away, from here more or less for the past six years. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Railway Trainmen, many members of which will be here for the funeral, as well also many relatives.

    Violet L. Hietpas, Nee McClone, Kaukauna, age 86, died Sunday, October 29, 2006, at St. Paul Home. Vi was born March 13, 1920, to the late Anthony and Maria (Moran) McClone in Bear Creek. She married Harold Hietpas on September 27, 1938, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Appleton. He preceded her death on July 5, 1979. Vi was a lifelong member of St. John Catholic Church, and an active member of the Christian Mothers and the Golden Agers. She sold Avon for 25 years and assisted the youth of the community as a leader of the 4H Club, Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts. Vi loved playing cards and was always ready for a good game of Sheepshead. She always had a smile on her face, enjoyed family & friends and never spoke a negative word about anyone. Vi will truly be missed by all who knew her.
    She is survived by her son, David (Mary) Hieptas and their two children: Geoffrey (Paula) Hietpas and Jack Hieptas, (special friend, Jacquelyn); her daughter, Pat (Bill) Dercks and their three children, Jason (Susie) Dercks, Tessa Dercks and Hannah Dercks, (special friend Joe); six great-grandchildren: Caleb Dercks, Nicholas, Elizabeth and Ian Hietpas and Lane and Ava Dercks. She is further survived by a brother, Ralph (Rita) McClone and special nieces and nephews, Betty Jean (Howard) Kieffer, Jackie (Clyde) VanDynHoven and special friends, Bill St. Marie, Jim McDonald, and Martha Dercks.
    She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a brother, Ray McClone, three sisters: Esther (James) Malliet, Loretta (Bill Mentzel) and 2nd husband, John Gerritts and Millie (Glen) Coy.
    Vi's Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. on Thursday, November 2, 2006, at ST. JOHN NEPOMUCENE CATHOLIC CHURCH, 323 Pine Street, Little Chute, with MSGR. Jim VandenHogan officiating. Friends will be received on Wednesday from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. with a prayer service at 7 p.m. at the Boettcher Family Funeral, 2401 Fieldcrest Drive, Kaukauna, and again on Thursday at Church from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will take place in the Parish Cemetery. The Boettcher Family Funeral Home, Kaukauna is assisting the family. 920-766-2099.
    The family would like to thank Martha Dercks, the CNAs and Nurses in Apple Tree Court at the St. Paul Home for the Love and Respect they gave Mom during her stay.

    Ralph J. McClone, 82, Menasha, died at home on Saturday, May 31, 2008. He was born December 23, 1925, in Bear Creek, WI, to the late Anthony and Marie (Moran) McClone.
    Following his graduation from St. Mary High School in Menasha, Ralph attended Marquette University in Milwaukee, graduating with a BA degree. He also served his country for two years in the Navy during World War II. In 1947, Ralph married Rita Suess at St. Patrick Church in Menasha. They would have celebrated sixty-one years of marriage on June 21.
    He began his professional life as a teacher where he developed his love for coaching. Teaching was followed by a career in insurance where Ralph founded the McClone Agency and provided a legacy for his children and now grandchildren. During this time, he also coached St. Mary High School to a number of state basketball championships. Throughout his 82 years, coaching remained an integral part of his life whether on the court or off.
    He was a past president of the Wisconsin Coaches' Association and Menasha Chamber of Commerce, and a member of the Knights of Columbus. As a World War II veteran, he was a member of the Lenz-Gazecki American Legion Post #0152 of Menasha for 51 years. Ralph was one of the founders of the 1000 Yard Club. He was elected as a charter member of the St. Mary Athletic Hall of Fame and the Wisconsin Coaches' Hall of Fame in Madison.
    Ralph is survived by his wife of sixty years, Rita; ten children and their spouses: Kathleen (John) Jauquet, Green Bay; Michael (Claudia) McClone, Menasha; Kevin (Grace) McClone, Wilmette, IL; Daniel (Cathy) McClone, Mena-sha; Molly (Herb) Horn, Sherwood; Maureen Lamers, Appleton; Timothy (Lynn) McClone, Menom-onee Falls; Patrick (Diane) McClone, Fond du Lac; Brian (Joann) McClone, Omro; Kelly McClone, Neenah; twenty six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Raymond McClone, four sisters: Esther (James) Malliot, Loretta (William) Mentzel, Mildred (Glenn) Coy, and Violet (Harold) Hietpas; and a grandchild, Timothy Lamers.
    The Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, June 7, 2008, at 11 a.m. in the Ralph "Cyclone" McClone Gymnasium at St. Mary Central High School, 1050 Zephyr Drive, Neenah, celebrated by The Rev. Kenneth F. Frozena, co-celebrated with The Rev. Phillip Dinh-Van-Thiep and The Rev. Richard Allen. Visitation will be on Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. and again on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of service all at the gymnasium at St. Mary Central High School with the Knights of Columbus Allouez Assembly #1199 Fourth Degree Honor Guard. A prayer service will be held Friday at 8:00 p.m. with Deacon Jerry Cross officiating. Military Rites will be conducted by the American Legion Post #60 of Kimberly. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Menasha. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the McClone Scholarship Fund at St. Mary Central High School, Menasha.
    The family would like to thank Theda Care at Home's Hospice services, and the Visiting Nurses Association for their professional and compassionate care.

    Patricia M. Brockman, age 79, died Thursday morning, November 9, 2006, at her residence, with her family at her side. She was born June 22, 1927, to the late James and Esther (McClone) Malliet, in Bear Creek and had been an Appleton resident all of her life. Pat had been employed by Joe The Trader and Best Bakery. She enjoyed spending time at her home on Legend Lake, her family and reading. Pat was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Neenah YMCA.
    She is survived by four children: Patrick (Kathy) Brockman, Milwaukee; Paul Brockman, Menasha; Mark Brockman, Neenah; Mary (Robert "Bones") DeGroot, Menasha; four grandchildren: Neeka and Reegan Cheslock, Dylan and Shelby Brockman; and a sister, Betty Jean Kieffer, Marinette.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon P. Brockman, February 17, 2006.
    The funeral liturgy for Patricia will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, November 13, 2006, at SACRED HEART CATHOLIC CHURCH, 222 East Fremont Street. Entombment will be in Appleton Highland Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. Sunday and at the church on Monday, from 10 a.m. until the time of the mass. There will be a parish prayer and scripture service at 7 p.m. Sunday.

    Chris L. Kieffer, 46, of 7603W Riverview Drive, Manistique, Michigan, died on March 2, 2009. He was born May 21, 1962, in Kaukauna and attended Kaukauna High School. He was a graduate of Marinette High School. On February 6, 1982, he married the former Dawn M. Huffman in Marinette. Chris was formerly employed as the store manager for the Manistique Hardee's. He later became the regional restaurant director for K & L Enterprises and for Midwest Foods.
    Survivors include his wife, Dawn Kieffer of Manistique; son, Benjamin; daughters, Kristan, Britteny, Linsey and Gabrielle; five grandchildren; parents, Howard and Betty Jean; brothers, James, Perry, David; nieces and nephews.

    Chris L. Kieffer, 46, of 7603W Riverview Drive, Manistique, went home to be with the Lord on March 2, 2009, following a lengthy illness.
    He was born May 21, 1962, in Kaukauna, Wis., the son of Howard and Betty Jean (Malliet) Kieffer. He attended St. Aloysius Grade School and Kaukauna High School and was a graduate of Marinette High School with the Class of 1980. He continued his education at Marinette Technical College.
    On Feb. 6, 1982, he married the former Dawn M. Huffman in Marinette. They moved to Manistique in April 1986.
    Upon moving to Manistique, Chris was employed as the store manager for the newly-opened Hardee's Restaurant. He later became the regional restaurant director for K & L Enterprises, Inc. (Upper Peninsula Hardee's and Subway restaurants) from 1979-1999 and later for Midwest Foods (Hardee's) from 1999-2007.
    He was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church of Manistique and the U.P. Whitetails. He was a past chairman of the Schoolcraft County C.B.C. fund-raiser and was a past president of the Schoolcraft County Chamber of Commerce. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping and spending time with his friends and family. He was an avid Green Bay Packer fan.
    Chris is survived by: his wife, Dawn M. Kieffer of Manistique; son, Benjamin (Stephanie) Kieffer of Menominee; daughters, Kristan (David) Black of Lake Linden; Britteny (Greg) Schuetter of Manistique; Linsey A. Kieffer of Ann Arbor and Gabrielle M. Kieffer of Manistique; grandchildren, Ella, Anna, Finneas, Riley and Kaleb; parents, Howard and Betty Jean Kieffer of Marinette; brothers, James Kieffer of Kaukauna, Perry Kieffer of Menasha, Wis., and David (Lisa) Kieffer of Muskego, Wis.; his godchild, Sonia Wacker of Madison, Wis.; along with several nieces and nephews. Additional family members include; Alan and Bev Asp, P.J. & Lisa & Tyler Hinkson, Kevin and Linda Swanson, as well as Keith White and Vicki.
