Obituary:
Allen J. Bangart, Kaukauna, age 64, died unexpectedly, on Tuesday, November 8, 2011. He was born February 3, 1947 in Appleton son of the late Joseph and LaVerne (Schmidt) Bangart. Allen was united in marriage on June 4, 1971 to Beverly Verkuilen at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Appleton. He enjoyed bowling, gambling at the casinos, fishing, camping, and all sports especially the Packers, Brewers, and NASCAR.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Beverly; 2 daughters: Amy Barr (special friend Jamie Verhoeven) and Missy (Scott) Offenstein; 2 grandsons: Robert Retza and Nathan Offenstein; 3 brothers and a sister: Chris (Nora) Bangart, Joe (Pat) Bangart, Doreen (Albert) Hull, and Tony (Sandy) Bangart; his mother-in-law, Anna Verkuilen; 9 sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: John (Carol) Verkuilen, Anna Marie (Merlin) Hein, Robert (Gloria) Verkuilen, Delores (Bruce) Schulz, Pat (Harry) Schulz, George (Diane) Verkuilen, Joe (Marilyn) Verkuilen, Fran Verhagen, and Jim (Sharon) Verkuilen. He is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents; father-in-law, John Verkuilen; 2 brothers: Ray and Ron; a niece, Michelle; a nephew, Christopher, and a brother-in-law, Walter Verhagen.
Funeral Services for Allen will be held at 12 Noon on Saturday, November 12, 2011 at BOETTCHER FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 2401 Fieldcrest Dr., Kaukauna. Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established.
