Helen's greatest love was her family and she always looked forward to spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved to read and crochet, and together, she and Stanley spent many hours working out the complexities of the latest jig-saw puzzles. Helen was a member of the Duck Creek VFW Post 7534 Ladies Auxiliary.
Visitation will be on Thursday, Oct. 6, at Pfotenhauer Funeral Home, 1145 Cardinal Lane in Howard from 4 to 7 p.m. followed by a brief memorial service to remember and celebrate her life. Online condolences may be expressed at www.PfotenhauerFuneralHome.com
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
Her family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to Unity Hospice for the outstanding care and compassion they exhibited during Helen's stay. Their kindness and genuine commitment to making Helen as comfortable as possible made an otherwise difficult time much easier to bear.
