Holland - Henry Gerrits, one of the oldest citizens and pioneer settlers of Holland died at the home of his son Henry Sunday afternoon aged 93 years. Deceased has been in feeble health for some time and for the past 24 years has been totally blind. The funeral was held at St. Francis Church.

Ebben, Mary M.Mary M. Ebben, of Appleton, age 88, passed away in Appleton on Tuesday, Ap ril 11, 2005. She was born in Appleton on May 6, 1916, daughter of the la te Robert and Dora (Schilling) Ebben. After graduating from high school, s he then went on to study at Lawrence University and later graduated from N orthwestern. Mary taught fourth grade at McKinley Elementary School in t he 1940s. She then went on to own and operate her own travel agency, Ma ry Ebben Travel Agency. Mary had the opportunity to travel the world throu gh her work. She had many interests, including yoga and flying. Mary was o ne of the first women in the Fox Valley to earn her pilot's license.Mary is survived by her brother, Alfred "Ferdy" Ebben of Appleton; a nd 17 nieces and nephews. She is further survived by other family and ma ny good friends.She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Catherine (M. A. Buck) B uchanan; brothers: Bob (Dorothy) Ebben, Carl (Ruth) Ebben; nephews: Tom Eb ben and Joshua Kwiatkowski; and a sister-in-law, Jane Ebben.The funeral liturgy will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 16, 2005, at S t. Mary Catholic Church, 312 South State Street, Appleton, with Fr. Micha el O'Rourke officiating. Friends will be received at the church from 9 a. m. until the time of the service. Robert R. Ebben 920 East Fourth St., Menasha Age 53, passed away Saturday evening following a lingering illness. He was born July 5, 1921 in Appleton and had been a Menasha resident since 1955. He was married to Dorothy O'Connor, September 23, 1944, in Appleton. He was a 1938 Appleton High School graduate and St. Norbert College in 1943. He was employed with Hewitt Transmission in Neenah for the past 20 years. He was a member of St. Mary Holy Name Society and a past president of the Green Bay Diocese Legion of Mary. He was a World War II veteran. His mother preceded him in death. Survivors are his wife, Dorothy; five sons, Greg of Kaukauna, Mark of Appleton, Charles, Donald and David all at home; a daughter, Mary Ann also at home; his father, Robert of Kaukauna; two sisters, Mrs. M.A. (Catherine) Buchanan and Miss Mary Ebben both of Appleton; two brothers, Carl E. and Alfred (Ferdy) both of Appleton. Funeral services will be held at 9:30 Tuesday morning at the Laemmrich Funeral Home and at 10 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church with the Rev. Louis Prefontain officiating. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in Appleton. Ebben, Alfred C. "Ferd y"Alfred C. "Ferdy" Ebben, age 77, was born into eternal life on February 2 8, 2006, with his two daughters by his side. He was born on December 18, 1 928, in Appleton, the son of Robert W. and Dorothea (Schilling) Ebbe n. He married Jane F. Platte on September 17, 1955, in New London, WI, a nd she preceded him in death on September 12, 1998. He was an avid bowl er who bowled a 300 game in 1948. He loved to fish and was always up f or a game of sheepshead or cribbage. Everywhere he went people were alwa ys asking him to tell them one of his jokes.Ferdy was a member of St. Joseph Parish, Appleton. He studied at Mount Cal vary for six years, and then worked at the First National Bank from 1949 u ntil his retirement in 1987.He is survived by his twin daughters, Mary Jo Ebben and Therese Ebben; sis ters-in-law, Ellen Schmeisser, and Jean Platte. Henrietta "Hankie" Koll, 96, passed away on Sunday, August 14, 2011 at Rennes Health Care Center. Hankie was born in Appleton on January 13, 1915 to Mathias and Johanna (Ebben) Schilling. She married Erwin "Pete" Koll on October 30, 1945 in Appleton. She worked at the Zwicker Knitting Mills before her children were born and later she worked at Prange for over 20 years until her retirement. Hankie liked to crochet, knit and quilt and made many things over the years. Most of all Hankie loved spending time with her children and grandchildren even watching her grandchildren after school. She was a member of St. Therese, Christian Mothers, Altrusia and assisted the deaf and blind on outings and trips.
Hankie is survived by two children; Greg (Kathy) Koll, Appleton, Louise (Harlan) Behnke, Hilbert, four grandchildren; Laura (Brad) Kees, Dan (April) Behnke, Anna (fianc? Ellie Oppelt, age 91, passed away Thursday, February 19, 2009, at Valley VNA in Neenah. Ellie was born in Loyal, Wisconsin, on June 25, 1917, daughter of the late Tony and Hattie (Brochtrup) School. She attended school at St. Francis in Hollandtown and graduated from the 10th grade in 1931. In 1933, she graduated from Kaukauna High School. Ellie married Raymond Micke in May of 1938, and later married John Oppelt in June of 1992. In addition to raising and caring for her family, Ellie worked as a waitress at several area supper clubs.
She is survived by two sons: Roger (Eunice) Micke, Kaukauna; Douglas (Anna Mae) Micke, Lakewood; a daughter, Donna (Jim McCash) of Iron Mountain, Michigan; eight grandchildren: Sharon (Greg) Duerr, Stephen Micke, Wendy (Kevin) Verkuilen, Doug Micke, Dennis Micke and his special friend Vicky, Debbie Kutzleb, Duane Micke, and Jill Spencer. There are also fourteen great-grandchildren; two brothers: Louis (Arlene) School, Kaukauna; Robert (Elaine) School, Appleton; a sister: Rita VandeHey, Wrightstown; and a sister-in-law, Marie School, Appleton.
Ellie was preceded in death by her parents, her former husband Raymond Micke, her husband John Oppelt in 2005, her son Nicholas Micke in 1971, grandsons Danny Micke and Jon Campain, brothers Howard (Evelyn) School, Paul (Gladys) School, and Art School; a sister, Florence (Stan) Budzinski; a sister-in-law, Ardy School, and brothers-in-law, Roy Potter and Roly VandeHey.

Louis P. School, age 89, of Brillion, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at his residence and is now at peace with the Lord and his wife Ardyth.
Louis was born on May 19, 1923 in Hollandtown, son of the late Anton and Henrietta (Brochtrup) School. On September 14, 1944, he married Ardyth Reichel. She preceded him in death on October 6, 1997.
During his professional life, Louis worked numerous hours as a dairy farmer. He also worked in sales at Keller Structures from 1964 - 1987. Upon retirement, Louis and Ardy spent many years camping at Tilleda Falls with family and friends. He was a competitive card player, especially sheepshead. Louis celebrated his 89th birthday this past Saturday with his family and friends. Above all, Louis enjoyed being with friends and his very loving family. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church.
Louis is survived by his children and their spouses: Daniel (Joyce), Richard (Donna) all of Brillion, Kathy (Tom) Deffke of Shorewood, Mary (Tim) Jansen of Sussex, Ellen (Randy) Winkler of Madison, Karen (Dennis) Asbel of Green Bay, John (Heidi) of Brillion, Alice (Jim) Thayer of Appleton, Peter of Milwaukee, and Tony (Shelley) of Milwaukee; 22 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; one sister: Mary Rita VandeHey; one brother and four sisters-in-law: Robert (Elaine) School, Marie School, Elaine Juno, Marion (Russ) DeLaHunt; many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Mary Rita Vande Hey, Wrightstown, age 87, died Tuesday May 29, 2012 at Parkside Care Center. She was born on May 7, 1925 in Hollandtown to the late Antone and Hattie (Buchtrop) School. Mary Rita married Roland Vande Hey on September 26, 1944 at St. Francis Catholic Church in Hollandtown. He preceded her in death February 10, 2008. Mary Rita was a past member of the St. Paul Christian Mothers. She sold Avon and helped on family farms for many years. Mary Rita enjoyed playing cards and especially loved playing cribbage for quarters. She liked gardening and tending to her flowers.
Mary Rita is survived by her children: Gene (Sandy), Wrightstown; Dennis, Greenleaf; Gary (special friend Laurie), Madison; Allan (special friend Terry), De Pere; Ron, Wrightstown; extended family Al and Susan Christensen, Wrightstown; 10 grandchildren: Gina (John) Thousand, Karla (Ed) Meyers, John (Rebecca) Christensen, Sarah (David) Groat, Ed (Trisha), Mike (friend Jamie), Tony (Krista), Tosha, Shelly and Eric Vande Hey; 17 great-grandchildren; brother: Bob (Elaine) School; and brothers and sisters-in-law: Marie School, Mary Ellen Sprangers, Orville, Virgil (Sandy), Gerald and Beverly Vande Hey. Appleton - Robert Bernard School, age 88, passed away peacefully at Cherry Meadows with his family at his side on July 28, 2018. "Bob" was born on August 21, 1929 in Dundas, WI, the son of the late Anton and Henrietta "Hattie" (Brochtrup) School. He graduated from St. John's Catholic High School in Little Chute and went on to proudly serve his country in the United States Air Force from 1951 to 1955, serving with the 36th Fighter Bomber Wing stationed at bases in Furstenfeldbruck and Bitburg Germany as well as MacDill Air Force Base in Florida. He married Elaine Brittnacher on August 12, 1954 at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Wrightstown, WI.
Bob drove truck for White Clover Dairy in Hollandtown, WI from 1946 - 1961. He then went on to drive truck for Badger Northland, Inc. in Kaukauna and was shortly thereafter promoted to a sales position where his dedication and hard work resulted in a successful career as an Export Sales Manager. Bob's position with Badger Northland, Inc took him on travels across the United States, Canada, Japan and Bulgaria until his retirement in 1994. He was a member of St. Bernadette Catholic Church in Appleton since 1969, the Knights of Columbus and Kimberly Post 60 of The American Legion. He retained friendships and attended reunions with fellow Air Force buddies through-out his life. Bob's carpentry skills and enthusiasm for woodworking were put to good use when he, along with his sons, built homes, including the home where he and Elaine eventually retired. Countless hours were spent in his woodworking shop crafting special projects for Christmas gifts. Growing up on a farm and a career in farm equipment sales led to Bob's retirement hobby collecting and trading scale model farm toys and tractors. Bob and Elaine worked Toy Shows together and the people they met along the way always gave Bob great pleasure. He also enjoyed his morning coffee hour with friends at The Heritage where they "solved the world's problems". Above all else Bob loved a day of fishing on his boat and those days were never better than when shared with the grandkids.
Along with his loving and devoted wife of almost 64 years, Elaine School, Bob is also survived by 9 children: Bonnie (Patrick) Costello, Terry (Deonne) School, Colorado Springs, CO, Steve (Peggy) School, Patty School, Vicky (Roger) Mendez, Patterson, NY, Amy (James) Berge, Cindy (Michael) Purdo, Roswell, GA, Rick (Fern) School and Randy (Jacqueline) School; his 15 grand children Megan (Anthony) Gostanian, Brent (Allison) Costello, Kathryn (Scott) Lopez, Joshua (Leann) School, Robert N. (Gina) School, Brittany, Mackenzie, and Erin Mendez; Luke, Rachel, Matthew, Isaac, and Benjamin School and Elliot & Sophie School; 6 great grandchildren include Abbigaile, Hannah and Julianna School, RJ and Violet School and Eleanor Costello. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews who cherish family ties and visited often.

Art School, age 77, of Appleton, passed away peacefully with his family at his side at Cherry Meadows on February 5, 2009. Art was born on July 10, 1931, in the Town of Woodville, the son of the late Anton and Henrietta (Brochtrup) School. He graduated from Kaukauna High School in 1949. Art proudly served his country in the United States Air Force from 1951 to 1955. He married Marie Buss on July 28, 1951, in Appleton. Art was employed with the Wisconsin State Patrol for 29 years, retiring as a Lieutenant in 1986. In the late 1950s Art became one of the first Motorcycle State Troopers in Wisconsin. He was a past president of the Wisconsin Chapter of the F.B.I. National Academy and life member of the Wisconsin Law Enforcement Officers Association. Art was a long-time member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Appleton. He enjoyed woodworking, motorcycling, hunting and golfing.
Art is survived by his wife of 57 years, Marie School, Appleton; his son, Tom (Mary - Art's favorite daughter-in-law) School; his daughters: Debbie Sellers, Freedom, New Hampshire; Wendy (Michael) Salisbury, Appleton; his grandchildren: Stacy (S. Patricia Ann Backes, 81, of Appleton, passed away on Saturday, August 24, 2013. Pat was born on June 13, 1932 to Bernard and Olga (Bruecker) Brochtrup in Kaukauna. On April 24, 1958 she was united in marriage to Matthew Backes at St. Francis Catholic Church in Hollandtown. Pat had a strong faith and belief in Jesus Christ as her Savior and passed that faith on to her children and grandchildren. She was an excellent seamstress and sewed many things for her daughters and grandchildren. Pat also loved playing sports, gardening and the Packers. She was a member of the Fox Valley Christian Fellowship.
Pat is survived by her four daughters; Pamela (Timothy) Baker, Austin, Texas, Debra Garetson, Menasha, Sandra (Richard) Schultz, Houston, Texas, and Lisa Lingenfelter, Neenah, 14 grandchildren, and four great grandchildren, a brother Alfred (Mary) Brochtrup, a sister Diane (Victor) Haen, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Matthew, a son-in-law, Douglas Lingenfelter, a sister Mary Srnka, and a brother Donald Brochtrup.

Ethel M. Dupler, 92, of 910 N. 10th Street, passed away Friday evening, December 5, 2008 at St. Nicholas Hospital. Born September 13, 1916 in Hollandtown, WI, Ethel was a daughter of the late Theodore and Petronella VanVrede Gerrits. She was united in marriage to Daniel M. Dupler.
She is survived by her son, Daniel (Nancy) Dupler, Greenville, SC; three grandchildren, Daniel (Allison) Dupler, Spartenburg, SC, Shannon (Greg) Hawk, Waxhow, NC, and Derrick Dupler, Wisconsin Rapids, WI; four great-grandchildren, Sam and Daniel Dupler, and Avery and Emerson Hawk; three sisters, Hilda Veit, West Bend, WI, Bernice Leonard, Sheboygan, and Evelyn Keller, Kimberly; and her brother, Donald (Edith) Gerrits, Fond du Lac.

Monroe St., Port Washington died Saturda y, April 20, 2002, at St. Mary's Hospital-Ozaukee, Mequon.She was born on Dec. 2, 1924, in Hollandtown, a daughter of the late Ted a nd Nell (Van Vreede) Gerrits. In May 1948, she married Allan E. Slat er of Random Lake in Dubuque, Iowa.They raised their family in Fredonia before moving to Port Washington in 1 964.She was a secretary for the former Peiffer Advertising of Port Washingt on for many years. She was always very active with her family and her comm unity. While living in Fredonia she started their first Girl Scout troop a nd remained a leader when she moved to Port Washington. She volunteer ed at the city voting polls and with the former Port Washington Mariners D rill Team. He preceded her in death in 1983. Eugene Van Vreede, 85, 607 Eagles Nest Boulevard, Rothschild, died Wednesday, August 19, 2009, at St. Clare's Hospital, Weston.
Eugene was born May 15, 1924, in Hollandtown, Wisconsin, to the late Anton and Joanna (Gerrits) Van Vreede. He was a World War II Army veteran, having served in France, where he was the recipient of the Purple Heart. He married Alice Dorschner on May 26, 1951. She preceded him in death on Nov. 8, 1975. He then married Kathleen Holzem Pierce on March 10, 1976, in Wausau, she survives.
Gene loved building bird houses, gardening, hunting, fishing, cribbage and working crossword puzzles. He was a member of the American Legion.
Survivors include his wife, Kathleen, Rothschild; two sons, Doug (Barbara) Van Vreede, St. Paul, Minnesota and Mark Van Vreede of Little Chute, Wis.; one granddaughter, Sara Van Vreede; sister, Elaine Yunk, Kimberly, Wis.; nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews. He is also survived by four stepchildren, Charlotte Meadows, Colleen O'Brien, Cynthia Wenzel, Karl Pierce, and many step- grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Ruth Casper and Dorothy Grayalna and a stepson Kendall Pierce.
Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, August 25, 2009, at St. Mark's Parish, 602 Military Road, Rothschild. The Rev. Allan L. Slowiak will officiate. Burial will be in St. Paul's Catholic Cemetery, Wrightstown, Wisconsin. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. at the church. Military rites will be performed by American Legion Montgomery Post #10.

Kenneth A. Lang, 89, of Appleton, passed away on Sunday, June 30, 2013 at the Rennes Health Care Center in Appleton, Wisconsin. Ken was born on March 9, 1924, in Appleton to the late Raymond P. and Mae B. (Gerritts) Lang. He graduated from Appleton High School in 1942. Ken proudly served his country during World War II as an Army Staff Sargent in the 288th Combat Engineer Division. Upon returning from the war, he married Lucille M. Vanden Heuvel on July 10, 1946 and worked for Eisley Engineering. In 1954, Ken formed a partnership with Clem Boucher to start Lang & Boucher Heating & Air Conditioning which they owned until they sold to their sons in 1980. He was an original stockholder and served on the board of directors for Service & Supply Inc.
Ken was a charter member of St. Pius X Catholic Church where he served on parish council for several years, was a member of the Men's Society and many committees, including being a chartered member of Boy Scout Troop 9 at St. Pius. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus for 60 years. He was also an active 20 year member of the Appleton Noon Lions Club. Ken was an avid sportsman enjoying fishing, bowling, baseball and golf. The Brewers and Packers were his passion! He participated in several bowling leagues and was well known around the Valley as a stellar softball pitcher. Starting in 1947, his baseball teams won many championships throughout the years. In 1962 and 1963 he pitched for St. Pius X softball team and won back to back championships in the American Church League. Ken and Lucy enjoyed many travels abroad and spent their summers at the lake with family and friends.
Survivors include his wife: Lucille; his six sons: Dennis and fiancée Mary Claypool, David and Debra (LaLonde), Charles and Nancy (Bergman), Robert and Debra (Zuehls), Mark and Julie (Kasper), James and Deborah (Lemke); grandchildren: Andrew Lang, Eric (Lynn) Lang, Sarah Lang, Jennifer (Tim) Eddy, Elizabeth (Rick) Romenesko, Nicole (Derek) Sokloski, Phillip Lang, Ryan (Laura) Lang, Aaron Lang, Janelle Lang and fiancée Nate Vande Walle, Evan Lang, Jordan Lang, Adam Lang and Katherine Lang, and ten great-grandchildren. Also survived by his sisters Rita (Joseph) Griesbach and Joanne Hoerning, brother Ted (Joyce), sister-in-law Isie Winius, brother-in-law Don Vanden Heuvel and many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his parents, in-laws Chris & Rose Vanden Heuvel, sister Mary Jane (James) Oliver, brother Joseph (Nancy), sisters-in-law Joyce (John) Meyer and Janet Vanden Heuvel, and brothers-in-law Harold Winius and Bud Hoerning.

Midge Oliver, age 83, passed away peacefully at The Renaissance Assisted Living on Monday, January 31, 2011. Midge was born in Appleton on February 6, 1927. She is the daughter of the late Ray and May (Gerrits) Lang. On April 23, 1949, she married James Oliver in Appleton. Jim preceded her in death in 2003 after 54 years of marriage.
Midge enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She was an active member of several bridge clubs, and spent much of her summer at the family cottage where she enjoyed boating, taking walks with her Grandchildren and making sure everyone stayed well fed. She was able to strike up a conversation with anyone she met and was never at a loss for words. Midge was a loving mother and grandmother and will be deeply missed by all.
Midge is survived by her three sons and five grandchildren: Stuart (JoAnne) Oliver of Golden, Colorado and their children Sarah (Chris) Schmidt and Jonathan Oliver (girlfriend Mary); Mark (Peggy) Oliver of Stevens Point and their daughter Megan (Jason) Kirk; Greg (Sandy) Oliver of Kaukauna and their children James and Kayleigh. Midge is further survived by two brothers: Ken (Lucy) Lang and Ted (Joyce) Lang; and two sisters: Rita (Bud) Greisbach and Joan (late Bud) Hoerning.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jim, an infant daughter Mary, and a brother Joe Lang.
The funeral liturgy will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, February 8, 2011, at SACRED HEART CATHOLIC CHURCH, 222 East Fremont Street in Appleton. Kerkhof, Dolores A., KaukaunaAge 75, passed away peacefully on January 22, 2004, following a brief illn ess. She was born on November 11, 1928 in Green Bay, Wisconsin to the la te Joseph B. and Agnes (Meulemans) Gerrits. Upon graduating from Kaukau na High School she married Francis R. Kerkhof at Saint Francis Catholic Ch urch in Hollandtown on a sunny and beautiful June day in 1948. After a sho rt honeymoon, she and Frank began a lifelong adventure of operating the Ke rkhof Family Farm and raising eight children near Hollandtown, Wisconsi n. The family life revolved around Saint Francis School and Church in Holl andtown where the children attended elementary school. Dolores was employ ed at the Lee Store in Kaukauna and was a nursing assistant at St. Paul Ho me. She served as a 4-H leader as well as on the St. Francis Altar Socie ty for many years. Dolores spent her adult life parenting her children a nd supporting them as they raised their children. She never missed an oppo rtunity to share her love with her kids whether it be Christmas, birthda ys or holidays. A high point of her year was spending a week every July wi th her children and grandchildren at Wheeler Lake Resort in Northern Wisco nsin. Dolores also enjoyed golfing, traveling, bowling, and had a love a nd talent for music which many of her children and grandchildren inherite d. Leo J. Gerrits, age 86, of Hollandtown died November 2, 2017, at St Paul Hospice, Kaukauna. He was surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Kaukauna, WI on March 14, 1931 to the late Joseph and Agnes (Meulemans) Gerrits.
Leo served in the Army as a cook in the Korean War, October 1951 to August 1953. He married Lillian Hendricks October 1, 1953 at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, Little Chute and they enjoyed 62 years of marriage. Most of his life, Leo farmed at the Gerrits Homestead in Hollandtown. Prior to farming he worked at the Thilmany Mill and during the early farming years, he hauled milk for White Clover Dairy. He was a member of Urban Klister American Legion Post 436 in Wrightstown, a Volunteer Fireman for the Hollandtown Fireman Department, and a member of the Countryside Snow Riders Snowmobile Club.
Anyone who knew Leo, knew he was very social and took much joy from visiting and chatting with family and friends. This served him well when he volunteered at the St. Paul Home, where his kindness touched the lives of many people. With his wife Lillian, he was in a Bowling league for many years at Van Abel's, played Sheephead with their card club each month, and loved getting together with the Homemakers Club. They both enjoyed spending time with their many friends and Leo loved to go "Windshield Farming," just driving around seeing all the crops and beautiful family farms. He enjoyed the "siblings" lunch each Friday at noon at Van Abel's where Leo and his sister, Eunice, and brothers, Fritz and Jerome Schmidt gathered to enjoy each other's company along with other family and friends.
The kindness and patience he devoted to his wife Lillian during her failing health was a true tribute to his love and commitment to his family.
He was blessed to find love and companionship again when he married Marian Nelessen on October 29, 2016 and during their short time together they had many memorable moments together with family and friends.
Leo is survived by his children: Joan (Ed) Van Dehy of Kaukauna; Jan (Ken) Donnermeyer of Kaukauna; Jeff (Julie) of Kaukauna; Joel (Deb) of Madison; Jack of Kaukauna; Jenny (Jim) Lamers of Kaukauna; and Jill (Bert) Frank of Chilton; grandchildren: Spencer, and Shaun Van Dehy, Samantha Uitenbroek; Ashley Schouten; Brian and Emily Gerrits, Jonah and Josh Gerrits; Eli, Emma and Ella Lamers; Alyssa, Addison and Afton Frank; great grandchildren: Grace and Meredith Van Dehy, Zoe Uitenbroek, Arianna and Blake Gerrits; his wife Marian Nelessen; her children Lois and Jerry Gremore and family; Mike and Julie Nelessen and family; Jane and Rick Vanden Boogart and family; and Roger and Marina Nelessen. He is further survived by his sisters- and brother-in-law: Eunice Schmidt, Mary (Le Roy) Van Asten and sister-in-law Mary Gerrits. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to Lillian and his parents, Leo was preceded in death by grandsons: Jesse Donnermeyer and Ted Gerrits; siblings: Harold Gerrits and Delores (Frank) Kerkoff; and brother-in-law, Alfred Schmidt; his wife's sisters- and brothers-in-law: Ceil (Pete Van Zeeland, Len Van De Hey) Van De Hey, Agnes (Clarence) Schreiber, Ethel (Hilary) Feldkamp, Dorothy (Mark) Kerkoff, Magdeline (Melvin) Arts, Bob Nelesson and John Hendricks; and father and mother-in-law Joseph and Elizabeth Hendricks.
Visitation will be held Sunday, November 5, 2017 at O'CONNELL FUNERAL HOME (1776 E. Main St. Little Chute) beginning at 4:00 p.m. until time of Parish Vigil Service at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue Monday, November 6, 2017 at ST. KATHARINE DREXEL PARISH - ST. Frank J. Schreiter, age 63, passed away on Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at Brewster Village in Appleton. Frank was born on February 26, 1953 to the late Donald and Dorothy (Schilling) Schreiter. In his leisure time, he enjoyed his prairie garden and spending time with his English Setters. Frank was also a member of several dog clubs, including a lifetime member of the Winnegamie Dog Club. He had a Master's degree in Social Work from UW-Milwaukee and was employed as a social worker for 40 years, 25 of them for Outagamie County.
Frank will be dearly missed by his siblings: Ellen Schreiter (friend, Jim Forbeck), Joan Bartman, Christine Kositzke, Janice Panzer, Richard (Sandie) Schreiter; nieces and nephews: Kathryn (Travis) Boegh, Anthony (Tracy) Bartman, Petra (Nicholas) Price, Johanna Panzer, Gretchen Panzer, Matthew (Jessica Pondell) Schreiter, and Nicholas (Shaina Desotelle) Schreiter; and nine great nieces and nephews.

Roger J Micke, age 76, passed away with his family by his side on Saturday, May 16th, 2015 at Appleton Medical Center. He was born March 15, 1939 to the late Raymond and Eleanore Micke. Roger married Eunice VandeLoo on October 8th, 1963. He is survived by his wife, Eunice, children: Sharon (Greg) Duerr, Steve Micke, Wendy (Kevin) Verkuilen; grandchildren: Brett (Amy) Danelski, Trent Duerr, Kelly Duerr, Scott Duerr, Courtney (Brandon) Ritchie, Garrett Verkuilen; great grandchild: Stella Danelski; brother Doug (Anna Mae) Micke, sister Donna (Jim) McCash; Brother-in-laws: Robert (Therese) VandeLoo, Eugene (Lola) VandeLoo, Victor (Mary Jane) VandeLoo, Donald (Barb) VandeLoo; Sister-in-laws: Theresa (Ves) VanZeeland, Alice (Jim) Hammen, Mary (Frank) Lamers, Sandra (Don) Snelling.

Roger graduated from Kaukauna High School and went on to join the U.S. Navy in 1957. He began his career at Miller Electric in 1963, retiring after 33 years of employment. Roger was an avid sportsman who found great joy spending time fishing, racing stock cars, playing cards, and taking care of his many dogs and cats.
Thanks to all the nurses on the 8th floor at Appleton Medical Center, with a special thanks to Shannon, Ashley, and Kensley who helped make his last day comfortable.
The memorial mass for Roger will be held on Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at 11:00 AM at ST KATHERINE DREXEL PARISH, ST. FRANCIS CHURCH, 433 County Rd. CE, Hollandtown with Fr Jerry Pastors officiating. He attended Kaukauna High School, he served 4 years with the U.S. Marines from 1965 to 1969 and was' wounded in Vietnam. He had been employed at Universal Paper. Nicholas was a member of Electric City, VFW Post 3319. He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Micke, Rt. 3, Kaukauna; two brothers, Roger, Kaukauna ; Douglas, Wrightstown; one sister, Mrs. Charles (Donna) Campain, Iron Mountain, Michigan. Chest Injuries Cause First Traffic Death in Appleton During '71
A former Marine, who survived battle wounds in Vietnam was killed Friday night when his motorcycle and a truck collided at Wisconsin Avenue and Rankin Street. The victim was Nicholas F. Micke, 24, route 3, Kaukauna. Micke, dead on arrival at Appleton Memorial Hospital, died of a massive internal hemorrhage caused by crushing chest injuries, according to Outagamie County Coroner Bernard H. Kemps. It was the first death on Appleton streets this year. Appleton police said Micke was traveling east on Wisconsin when his 1971 cycle apparently slid into the right front of the truck which was turning onto Rankin from Wisconsin. The truck was operated by Robert J Voecks, 28, 826 E. South St. Voecks was en route to the Appleton Coated Paper Co. to unload pallets. Voecks told authorities the accident occurred moments after he passed Micke who was stopped alongside the road. Police said the motorcycle left about 20 feet of skid marks before impact. The accident occurred about 10:40 p.m. Micke's death raised Outagamie County's 1971 traffic toll to 4, compared to 8 on this date a year ago. Funeral arrangements are being handled through the Greenwood Funeral Home in Kaukauna.

Clarence A. Yunk Jr., 67, of Menasha, passed away on Tuesday, August 25, 2009, surrounded by his family at the Appleton Medical Center. Clarence was born on October 12, 1941, to Clarence Sr. and Elaine (Van Vreede) Yunk in Appleton and graduated from Kimberly High School in 1960. After high school, Clarence spent 6 years in the National Guard. He worked for Appleton Papers for over 30 years and also was a volunteer at the Theda Clark Medical Center. Clarence was an Avid Packer Fan and also enjoyed golfing and playing cards, especially cribbage. He lived life in the fast lane and spent time driving his Corvettes. Most of all, Clarence was always there for family and friends when they needed a helping hand.
Clarence is survived by his two sons: Zane and Brett Yunk, Appleton; his mother, Elaine Yunk, Kimberly; four brothers; Gary (Pam) Yunk, Alladin, WY; Dennis Yunk, Hermansville, MI; Tom (Cindee) Yunk, Shiocton and Rick (Jean) Yunk, Kimberly; his sister Debbie (Keith) Weyers, Kimberly. He is further survived by a brother-in-law Bob Smith, Appleton; the mother of his sons Linda Green and nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Clarence was preceded in death by his father, Clarence Sr., and a sister, Karen Smith.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 28, 2009, at 7 p.m. at the WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME, TRI-COUNTY CHAPEL, 3212 S. Oneida St., Menasha, with Chaplain Jordan Kuczwara officiating. Friends may call on Friday, August 28, 2009, from 4 p.m. until the time of services at the funeral home (Packer attire is appropriate in honor of Clarence).

Sandra J. Evenson, age 73, of Neenah was called to eternal life at her home on Saturday, August 20, 2016. She was born on March 6, 1943 in Milwaukee to the late Al and Ruth Casper. Sandy was a 1961 graduate of Kimberly High School. She went on to graduate from St. Agnes School of Nursing. Later she received her Master's Degree in Nursing from Marion College. She worked at Theda Clark Medical Center for many years. Sandy married Eugene Evenson on March 3, 1990. They cherished 26 years of marriage together.
Sandy loved spending time outdoors. She looked forward to traveling to "area lakes" to catch and release all types of fish, especially perch. In recent years, her favorite destination was Camp Nubby in Mercer. She spoiled the birds at her feeders and delighted in watching them. Sandy also gardened with passion and determination. She was happy sharing her gardens with all God's creatures but was particularly fond of turtles, hummingbirds, and dragonflies. Sandy was a master cross-stitcher and crocheter. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She will be dearly missed by her family.
