    Obituary:
    Sr. M. Leone (Dorothy) Weyenberg, age 94, entered Eternal Life peacefully on Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at the Franciscan Woods nursing home in Brookfield, WI. Sr. M. Leone was born in Kimberly, WI. on June 6, 1917, daughter of Martin and Hattie (Verbeten) Weyenberg. Her mother died in 1918 and her father remarried Nellie Maas in 1920. She eventually became the big sister of seven siblings. She graduated Valedictorian of her Kimberly High School class. After working as a nurses aide at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton, WI she entered the Wheaton Franciscan Sisters Community on April 19, 1940.
    Sr. M. Leone graduated from St. Louis University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy and worked at St. Mary's Hospital in Racine, WI. Her most challenging years there were during the polio epidemic of the 1950's. She also served at Cardinal Ritter Institute and St. Anthony's Hospital in St. Louis and at St. Michael's Hospital in Milwaukee, WI.
    Sister semi-retired to St. Joseph Hospital, Milwaukee in 1985 and became sacristan of the chapel until 1999 when she fully retired to the Wheaton Sisters Motherhouse in Wheaton, IL. Sister M. Leone celebrated her 70th Jubilee as a Religious in May 2010.
    She is survived by her family of Wheaton Community sisters and her siblings. Sister, Lois Nollenberg, Shiocton, WI., brothers, Russell (Evelyn) Seymour, TX. and Donald (Betty) New London, WI. Sister-in-law Marilynn Weyenberg, Appleton, WI. and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, sisters Bernice, Mary Ann (Emmett) Vandenberg, and LaVerne (Clarence) Huisman, brother Robert Weyenberg, sister-in-law Bea Weyenberg and brother-in-law Donald Nollenberg.
    A prayer service will be held at 4pm on Monday, February 27 followed by a wake kept by the sisters until 10:00am Tuesday. The funeral mass of Christian burial celebrating her life will be at 10:00am Tuesday February 28, 2012 in Our Lady of the Angels chapel at the Wheaton Sisters Motherhouse, Wheaton, IL. with Fr. Borkowski officiating. Private interment will be in Assumption Cemetery, Winfield, IL.
    Memorials can be sent to the Wheaton Franciscan Sisters Retirement Fund, PO Box 667, Wheaton, IL. 60187-0667.
