    His parents, the late Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Broehm, Pennsylvanian Christians, were among the pioneer settlers of this community during the Civil war, making their home on the farm about two miles northwest of the present Forest Junction, occupied at present by Eldred Knoespel.
    In connection with his operation of the farm, Mr. Broehm engaged in well drilling and threshing and was associated with the origin of the Calumet Telephone company on whose board of directors he was still a member.
    Funeral services were held Wednesday at the Evangelical church conducted by the Rev. Philip Schneider and burial was in a family lot in the village cemetery at Brillion.
    Survivors include his wife, a sister, Mrs. Emma Seybold, Forest Junction and three brothers, Theodore, Hilbert, August, Brillion and John Kaukauna.

    Norma B. Faber, 93, formerly of Spring Lake Road, Kiel School Hill, died peacefully Friday afternoon, Nov. 21, 2003, at Calumet Homestead Rehabilitation Center, where she had been a resident for the past year.
    She is the former Norma Broehm, born Oct. 18, 1910, in Forest Junction, daughter of the late August and Albertina Schley Broehm. Norma attended Holmes School in Forest Junction.
    On Sep. 28, 1928, she married Raymond Schmahl in Neenah. The couple farmed in Collins until his death in 1943. In 1947, she married Lester A. Ott. The couple farmed in School Hill until 1973, when Lester preceded her in death. In 1982, she married Milton Faber. The couple traveled extensively in Europe and the U.S. until his death in 1990.
    Norma was employed at the Salvatorian Center in St. Nazianz and New Holstein for over 20 years until her retirement. She was a member of St. Peter's United Church of Christ, Kiel. Norma was a volunteer at Family Services Association in Manitowoc and later at the Stoelting House in Kiel.
    Norma was defined by her love of singing, beginning as a youngster at Forest Junction and all through her life. She enjoyed playing cards, gardening and cooking.
    Survivors include three daughters, and 10 grandchildren. Norma is further survived by 16 great-grandchildren; one sister, and one sister-in-law. She was preceded in death by six brothers; one sister; one son-in-law, Gilbert Schneider; and four infant grandchildren.
    Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 25 at St. Peter's U.C.C., Kiel, with the Rev. Raymond C. Coombs officiating. Burial will be in the Brillion Community Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Tuesday from 9 a.m. until the time of service. A memorial has been established in her name for the St. Peter's U.C.C. Endowment Fund. The family of Norma would like to give a special thank you to the Rev. Raymond Coombs for his many visits and compassion and to the staff and nurses at Calumet Homestead for the care and love given to her over the past year.
    The Meiselwitz-Vollstedt Funeral Home of Kiel is serving the family.

    Florence D. Moriarty, age 97, of Appleton, passed away peacefully after a brief illness on November 27, 2017, at Brewster Village. Florence was born in Brillion on December 18, 1919, daughter of the late Edward and Delia (Huebner) Broehm. She married Walter Moriarty on June 17, 1944. They were married 57 years before his passing in 2001.
    Florence loved her family and making a home for them. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, reading, needlework, home décor and her beloved little dog, Muffit. She loved her jobs at Mary Lester Fabrics and Kohl's Department Store. Florence enjoyed working with people in her sales positions and many people came to know her over the years. After retirement, she and Walter spent many summers at their trailer at Casey Lake Campground in Waupaca, where they had many good friends. Florence also belonged to a quilters group and a golf league.
    Florence is survived by her daughters: Karen (Michael) Fox of Tequesta, Florida, and Jean (Dan) Morey of Sherwood, Wisconsin. She is further survived by her grandchildren: Steve (Pam) Sowatzka of Appleton, Sarah (Scott) Moriarty-Rothell of Lindenhurst, Illinois, and Brian Sowatzka of Oshkosh; as well as her great grandchildren: Avriel Sowatzka and Ethan Moriarty. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and siblings.

    BROEHM, ROBERT K. "BOB" (Ret. LTC) Robert Broehm, 80 years, of Appleton, passed away Thursday, April 28, 2005 at his home. He was born February 7, 1925 in Brillion, the son of the late Edward and Della (Huebner) Broehm. Bob married Jean Williams on March 13, 1945 in Memphis, TN. He served in the Naval Air Corp. as a radar radio operator on
    PBY airplanes in bombing missions in the South Pacific during WWII. After being discharged from the Navy, Bob joined the Army and served with the NSA, ASA and AIC and the last years of service with the Joint Chiefs of Staff at the
    Pentagon. He retired from the military and earned his degree from St. Norbert College. Bob then started his civilian career in real estate with Robertson
    Realtors, Rollie Winter and Bob Kennedy.
    He is survived by his wife, Jean (Williams) Broehm of Appleton; daughter, Joyce Broehm of Appleton; son, Ronald Broehm of Mountain, WI and sister, Florence
    Moriarty of Appleton. Bob is further survived by other relatives and friends. He
    was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Lloyd and Herb and sister, Dorothy Jandourek.
    Funeral services will be held at FIRST ENGLISH LUTHERAN CHURCH, 326 E. North St., Appleton on Tuesday, May 3, 2005 at 1:00 PM with Rev. Paul Svingen offficiating.     Robert E. St. Marie, 83, Appleton, formerly of New London, passed away on his birthday, at his residence, on Saturday, July 12, 2008. He was born on July 12, 1925, in Forest Junction, son of the late Romeo and Lorraine (Broehm) St. Marie. On June 25, 1949, he was united in marriage to Marion Williams at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Menasha. He worked at Curwood in New London from 1963 until his retirement in 1990. Bob was an avid wood carver and belonged to the Wisconsin Chippers Woodcarving Assn. He also loved gardening and was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the American Legion. He served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
    He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Marion; two daughters, Donna (Bruce) Dopp, Wild Rose; Julie (Jeff) Snell, De Pere; five sons, Joe (Cheryl) St. Marie, Madison; John (Mary) St. Marie, Winneconne; Jim (Barb) St. Marie, New London; Bill St. Marie, Appleton; Larry (Rhonda) St. Marie, Appleton; one brother, Kenneth St. Marie, Appleton; one sister, Carole St. Marie, Appleton;. 17 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
    Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Ellen Riley; a granddaughter, Angela Riley; a brother, Larry; and a sister, Dorothy.
    The Funeral Mass for Robert will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 16, 2008, at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church in New London with the Rev. David Lewis officiating. Interment will be in the Most Precious Blood Parish Cemetery. Friends may call at the Cline & Hanson Funeral Home in New London on Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m., and on Wednesday at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
    In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established for the Alzheimer's Association.

    Carole Ann Ste. Marie, age 80, passed away on Wednesday, May 23, 2012. She was born in Menasha on April 14, 1932, the daughter of the late Joseph and Lorraine (Broehm) St. Marie. Carole was a spirited and lively person who loved spending time with her family and friends. She had a strong will and everyone who knew her loved being around her. In her earlier years, she was a 15 year member of WABBI, which was a women's group who raised money for charity, as well as working for St. Vincent De Paul for 3 years.
    Carole will be sadly missed by her brother, Kenneth Ste. Marie; nieces and nephews: Antoinette Wagner, Joseph St. Marie, John St. Marie, Donna Dopp, James St. Marie, William St. Marie, Lawrence St. Marie and Julie Snell.
    Carole is preceded in death by her brother, Robert St. Marie, sister, Dorothy St. Marie, sisters-in-law, Jean Ste. Marie, Marion St. Marie and niece, Mary Riley.
    A Memorial Service for Carole will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at the Martens-Laemmrich Funeral Home, 312 Milwaukee Street, Menasha, with the Rev. Doyle Blanton officiating. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
    Carole's family wishes to extend a sincere thank you to all the staff at Appleton Medical Center for all their care, love and support for Carole.
