    Biography:
WILLIAM G. BAEHNMAN, one of the enterprising and progressive young agriculturists of Greenville township, Outagamie county, who is farming an excellent tract of ninety acres, was born June 14, 1885, in Waushara county, Wisconsin, and is a son of Gottfried and Augusta (Maldewin) Baehnman, natives of Germany, where the father was born in November, 1857, and the mother in August, 1866. Gottfried Baehnman came to the United States when a boy, in 1866, with his parents, who located first in Milwaukee and later removed to West Bloomfield. Reared to the life of an agriculturist, Mr. Baehnman has always followed farming as an occupation, and now owns a fine property near West Bloomfield. He has served as chairman of the township board, and is president of the Farmers' Insurance Company, and is widely known and highly respected in his section. He and his wife had a family of ten children, William G. being the fourth in order of birth. He attended school in West Bloomfield, studying both German and English, and when he was seventeen years of age began working out among the farmers of his neighborhood, although he lived at home. Mr. Baehnman was married in 1910, and in the following year, January 2, 1911, he purchased his present ninety-acre tract, where he has since carried on general farming. He gives all of his attention to his property, and so has not found time to join any fraternal associations nor to engage actively in politics, although he is a stanch Republican. His religious connection is with the German Lutheran Church. Mr. Baehnman was married November 10, 1910, to Miss Elizabeth Wilke, who was born at West Bloomfield, January 18, 1886, daughter of Charles and Anna, (Hayer) Wilke, natives of Germany who now reside at Bloomfield, where Mr. Wilke owns an excellent farm. Mrs. Baehnman's parents had a family of seven children, and she was the second in order of birth.

    Obituary:
Vernon Henry Baehman, age 94, New London.
"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith." (II Tim. 4:7, nkjv)
His Lord and Savior gathered Vernon Henry Baehman in to His arms and took him to his heavenly home on February 23, 2014. He was born on April 15, 1919, to Louis and Clara (Winter) Baehman. Vernon was but three years old when he sat on his mother's knee and she taught him the Lord's Prayer in German. He was baptized, attended, and was confirmed at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Hortonville. He started his farming career at the age of 9 on his father's farm. While attending a friend's wedding dance, he met the former Margaret Korth, and they were married on December 18, 1941. They lived and farmed in the Hortonville area, and raised three sons and three daughters. Marge preceded Vernon in death in 1972, after battling cancer.
Vernon later married Bernice McNulty and moved, along with his younger children, to Wellington, Colorado. After a few years they returned to the New London area. He became an employee of the Hortonville Wire Works, and also joined the Radtke Real Estate group in New London. Bea preceded him in death in 1999 after a long illness.
In 2004, Vernon renewed his acquaintance with June Close. On January 2, 2005, in addition to being his best friend, June became Vernon's wife. They shared companionship for the last 9 years of his life. June was also his caregiver. Our entire family will be forever grateful for her care and love.
Vernon was a good man with a hearty laugh, who loved to have a good time with his friends. Almost every Tuesday for the past 12 years he played cards with "the old foagies" at Lathrop's cabin. In fact, there was never a deck of cards, a cribbage board, or a gallon of ice cream that got away from him.
Vernon is survived by his wife, June; three daughters: Bonnie (Mark) Sommer, Racine; Beverly Franke, Pewaukee; Beth (Don) Grosek, Neenah; a daughter-in-law, Annette Baehman, Appleton; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. He is further survived by a brother, Louis, Ripon and a sister, Vera (John) Maahs, Holly Lake Ranch, Texas. He is also survived by 3 step-children: Jay (Mary) Close, New London; Jan (Pat) Close, New York; Todd (Susan) Close, New London; also 6 step-grandchildren and 6 step-great-grandchildren and his dog Peanut.
Vernon was preceded in death by his parents and two wives; three sons: Vernon Jr., Rick and Randy; two brothers: Kenneth and Walmer and a sister, Elnora.
Funeral services for Vernon will be held on Friday, February 28, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. at Emanuel Lutheran Church, New London with Rev. Marcus Schulz officiating. Visitation will be at the church on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will be in the Hortonville Union Cemetery.
A memorial fund has been established.

    Obituary:
    Baehman, Paul Andrew
Imagine the wondrous plan God set in motion when Paul Baehman was born on September 4, 1968 and baptized into the Christian faith on October 13 that same year. Over the next forty-seven years, God would lead him on a journey that is awe-inspiring and courageous.
Born in Muskegon, MI to parents Walmer and Heloise Baehman, Paul thrived in the embrace of a Christian family. His faith was further strengthened at Trinity Lutheran School and Church (Neenah,WI) and Fox Valley Lutheran High School (Appleton, WI). In his sophomore year, his path crossed with Pam Stolzman. They became best friends and have always shared their love of music. Paul continued on to graduate from Lawrence University with a bachelor of music degree and married Pam in 1993. They moved to Alpharetta, GA in 1996.
It is evident that God was grooming Paul; on his continued journey at home and at work; in Wisconsin and Georgia. As soulmates, Paul and Pam enjoyed 22 years of Christian marriage and the awesome gift of children (Jonathan, 15 and Anna, 13). The entire family actively participates at Messiah Lutheran Church where they have touched many hearts. Paul's talents led him to become Music Minister at Messiah and a musical instructor at Bridgeway Christian Academy where both children attended.
Quality family time was often spent at Disney World and relaxing days on Sanibel Beach, FL. They also returned to Wisconsin as often as they could.
As was God's plan, Paul was gently guided to His heavenly throne on Thanksgiving Day, where he was reunited with his parents. What a celebration to know he is free of pain and robed in His glory!
Faithful survivors include wife Pamela, children Jonathan and Anna; siblings Dr. LeAnn (Dr. Tim Bender) Baehman; Tom (Lisa) Baehman; and Susan Baehman; in-laws Ken and Dawn Stolzman, Sara (Robert) Gottschalk and Paul (Stacy) Stolzman; and many loving nieces and nephews -- all who will miss his confidence, positive attitude and snappy wit.
As Paul so lovingly shared with his family and friends, "May God continue to bestow upon you the richest of blessings and the peace that is beyond our understanding. All my love to you. Keep letting your light shine."
A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 5 at Messiah Lutheran Church, 4765 Kimball Bridge Road, Alpharetta, GA, commencing at 11:00 AM. Immediately following the service, a celebration luncheon will be held at Bridgeway Christian Academy, 4755 Kimball Bridge Road, Alpharetta, GA.
In lieu of flowers, memorials will be set up for Messiah Lutheran Church, Bridgeway Christian Academy, Fellowship Christian School and Fox Valley Lutheran High School.
