    Jean Sasman, age 79, was called to her eternal home on Saturday, June 27, 2009. She was born in Appleton on October 6, 1929, daughter of the late Herbert and Natalie (Herzekorn) Shabow. Jean was received into God's kingdom through the waters of baptism on November 3, 1929, at St. Matthew Ev. Lutheran Church and confirmed that faith on April 18, 1943. She remained a life-long and faithful member of St. Matthew. Jean married Orlo Sasman at St. Matthew on August 21, 1954. He preceded her in death on July 19, 2008. Upon her graduation from Appleton High School in 1947, she was employed as an elevator operator at the Zuelke Building and at AAL until 1958. After raising her three children, Jean returned to the workforce service as a para-professional at Einstein Middle School from 1972 to the present. There she was affectionately known as "Jean, Jean, the copy machine queen." Jean lived for her Savior and for her family. She loved her extended family at Einstein, sewing for her grandchildren, and decorating for each and every holiday.
    She is survived by three children: Julie (Mike) Zimmer and their children: Holly Zimmer, Joshua Zimmer, and Heidi Zimmer and her fiance Paul Glasheen; Bruce (Kelly) Sasman and their children: Sarah and Sam Jacoby, and Samantha and David Taylor; Scott (Lynn) Sasman and their children: Joshua Sasman, Alyssa Sasman, Maggie Huiting, and Alissa Huiting; two great-grandsons: Jaxon and Elias Taylor; sisters: Helen (Gene) Brahm and Marian Merkl; sisters-in-law: Ila Mae Schabow and Jean Karweick; brothers-in-law: George Franzke and John (Naomi) Sasman; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
    Jean was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, brothers Alvin (Enid) Schabow, Norman (Mary Jane) Schabow, Gordon Schabow, Armin Schabow, and Edwin Schabow; and sisters: Evelyn (Carl) Meitner, Joann Franzke; and a brother-in-law George Merkl; as well as many sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.
    The Christian Funeral for Jean will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 1, 2009 at ST. MATTHEW EV. LUTHERAN CHURCH, 129 S. Mason Street in Appleton, with Rev. Paul T. Schuler officiating. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park. Friends may call at the church on Wednesday morning from 9 a.m. until the time of the service. A memorial fund is being established.

    David R. Green, 60, of Appleton died Tuesday November 1, 2011 at his residence. He was born in Appleton, October 20, 1951, son of Ronald and Helen (Schabow) Green. David married Bonnie (Koentopp) on November 7, 1970.
    David worked at Exopack, Menasha for 41 years. He was a member of St. Matthews Ev. Lutheran Church, Appleton. David enjoyed working on and collecting cars, his favorite was his 1957 Chevy that he had for 36 years.
    David is survived by his wife of 40 years, Bonnie; two sons, David Jr, Neenah, and William "Billy", Neenah; mother, Helen (Gene) Brahm, Darboy; four sisters: Carolyn (Jerry) McFarlane, Combined Locks, Chris Thompson, Phlox, Cindy (John) Sieracki, Appleton, and Cheri Woldt, Milwaukee; three step sisters: Diane, Sue, and Mary; brother, Dan (Lou Ann); and a step brother, Jim; eight sisters-in-law, Nancy (Ray) Lane, Norma (Ted) Dietzen, Beverly Koentopp, Rose (Ralph) Hornes, Dorothy (Dan) Krause, Shari(Joe) Junek, Elaine DeSchmidt, and Garda Eggert; two brothers-in-law, Harvey (Karen) Koentopp, and Carl (Jackie) Koentopp; and many nieces and nephews.
    He was preceded in death by his father, Ronald, father and mother-in-law, Norman and Virginia Koentopp; four brothers-in-law, Chet Thompson, Ralph Hornes, Ray Lane, and Dan Krause; and many Aunts and Uncles.
    Memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, November 5, 2011, at the VALLEY FUNERAL HOME, with Rev. Paul T. Schuler officiating. Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM until the time of service. Inurnment will be at Highland Memorial Park.

    Lynn (Schabow) Eckes, 56, of Appleton, passed away unexpectedly from a tragic car accident on Friday, October 27, 2017, along with her mother Ila Mae Schabow.
    Lynn was born in Appleton on August 28, 1961. She was the oldest of three children born to the late Armin and Ila (Kimball) Schabow. Lynn graduated from Kaukauna High School in 1979 and started working at AAL/Thrivent when she was 18 years old. She has worked for AAL/Thrivent for the past 38 years and was still employed there at the time of her death.
    In 1984, Lynn married Kenneth Eckes and together they have four children. Lynn was a devoted wife and mother and would do anything for her family. She was very family oriented and knew the importance of spending her free time with as many of her family members as possible. Her children and grandchildren were her entire world and they will always remember her for her unconditional love and dedication to their family. She will also be greatly missed by her dog, Sadie, whom Lynn loved deeply. Lynn will also be remembered for her hard work, her extremely giving nature, love of volunteering, and the time she spent dedicated to the Church.
    Lynn is survived by her husband: Kenneth, of Appleton; her two daughters: Kristen (Kasmier Rutherford) Eckes, Neenah; and Sarah (Arthur) Smith, of Phoenix, AZ; two sons: Nicholas (Danielle) Eckes, of Combined Locks; and Philip (Tagen Forster) Eckes, of Appleton; grandchildren: Zachary Smith, Arthur Smith Jr., and Brady Eckes; a sister: Diane Jonen, of Kaukauna; a brother: Bob (Wanda) Schabow, of Brillion; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
    In addition to Lynn's parents, she was further preceded in death by a brother-in-law: Mark Jonen; and her dog, Nina, who Lynn absolutely adored.
    Funeral services for Lynn will be held at 12:00 Noon, on Thursday, November 9, 2017, at CHRIST THE ROCK COMMUNITY CHURCH, W6254 HIGHWAY 10-114, MENASHA,WI. Visitation will be on Thursday at the church from 10:00 am until the time of the service. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park, Appleton.
    The Eckes family and the Schabow family would like to thank everyone who has given their thoughts and prayers and who have taken time to be there to support our families in this time of need.

    William Michael Green, age 41, of Appleton, Wisconsin, passed away unexpectedly Sunday morning, March 1, 2015, in Oshkosh. Billy was born, July 16, 1973, the son of David R. and Bonnie S. (Koentopp) Green.
    Billy enjoyed music, playing cards, throwing darts, drawing and working on bicycles. He was an avid bird watcher, particularly eagles, something he and his father both enjoyed doing. Billy's favorite past time was watching W.W.E and Son's of Anarchy.
    He is survived by his mother, Bonnie Green; brother, David Green; grandma, Helen Brahm; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
    Billy was preceded in death by his father, David Green; his Grandpa Green; and Grandpa and Grandma Koentopp.
    Family and friends may call from 12 noon - 2:00 p.m., on Saturday, March 7, 2015, at Valley Funeral Home, 2211 N. Richmond Street, Appleton. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., in the funeral home with Rev. Mike Huff officiating
