    Dorothy F. Lawniczak was welcomed into heaven on Monday, the 17th of November, 2014. The daughter of the late Joseph and Josephine (Daul) LaCount was born October 29, 1916, in Green Bay. On February 24, 1936, at the age of 20, she fell in love and married Peter Lawniczak. They shared 67 wonderful loving years together until Peter was taken from this world on July 8, 2002. The couple farmed for many years in the town of Pittsfield until lightning burnt the barn, at which time they moved to the village of Pulaski. During her many years with Peter, she gave birth to four adoring children, with whom she spent many hours and who will miss her dearly. They include Robert and his wife Joan, Pulaski, Kenneth, Milwaukee, Donna and her husband, Michael Bertrand, Pulaski, and Gerald, who preceded her to eternal life. She had many talents, including cooking, baking bread and desserts, and, with Peter, preparing many holiday meals over the years for the family. The cookie jar was always full and ready for her family, nieces, nephews, and grandchildren who spent countless hours in her care. She enjoyed latch work, reading, traveling with family, and Bahr tour trips with her husband, Peter. She was also a member of the Council of Catholic Women at Assumption B.V.M. Parish.
    In addition to her children, she is survived by nine grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; a sister, Hazel LaCount, Green Bay; two brothers: Roger LaCount, Suamico and Raymond (Shirley) LaCount, Florida; a sister-in-law: Delores LaCount, Howard.
    She was preceded in death by her husband; her son, Gerald; a grandson, Ken Lawniczak, Jr.; four brothers: Wilfred (Edith), Russell (Marvel), Earl (Geneva) and Roland; one sister and brother-in-law: Gladys (John) Lawniczak; and a sister-in-law: Selma LaCount.
    The Funeral Mass was celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 24th at Assumption B.V.M. Church in Pulaski, Fr. Patrick Gawrylewski, O.F.M. presiding. Entombment took place in Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum, Green Bay.

    Family History Researcher:
    From Jeanne Bristol 8/15/2015;
    I have been spending some time searching my first husband' Dan Owens' family whose mother was Ruth Payne (1915-94), and Ruth's mother Laura Phoebe Allie had died in the first years after Ruth's birth and Clyde Payne remarried so contact was lost to all the maternal grandparents. Did some searching and it turns out that Laura Allie (1889- approx 1918) was a descendant of the Grignon family. The interesting thing is that Dan Owen's father William W Owens and Ruth Payne Owens built a home at the very end of Grignon St in Kaukauna where the living room window overlooked the home that her 4th great grandfather had lived. I remember one year we gave Ruth a photo of the valley as seen from her window and she burst out in tears, What she didn't know at the time it was her family home.
