    Obituary:
    John "Jack" Van Sistine, 73, of Suamico, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday February 19, 2017. He was born May 5, 1943 to the late Arthur and Dorothy (Heuvelmans) Van Sistine. On March 25, 1972 he married the love of his life, Judy Van Schyndel, at St. Joseph church in Oneida. Jack was an avid sportsman, and loved his time outside catching fish and hunting geese. He dedicated his life to the Boy Scouts, mentoring countless young men through decades of involvement. He was one of the first Hunter Safety instructors in the area, and through these two passions of his, he was able to champion the creation of Shooting Sports ranges at several area scout camps. Jack was an active member of the Suamico community and was a longtime member of St. Benedict Catholic Church.
    He is survived by his wife Judy, his children; Jenny (Brian) Drevs, Jim (Jana) Van Sistine, Jeremy (Teriann) Van Sistine, as well as eleven grandchildren; Ashley, Owen, Caroline, Isaac, Eliana, Landen, Lyvia, Lincoln, Joshua, Connor and Olivia. He is further survived by his second mother; Jan (Dan) Hoffmann, his siblings; Tom (Mary) Van Sistine, Lynn (Darell) Leurquin, Robert (Sheila) Van Sistine, Harold (Patti) Van Sistine, Annie Van Sistine, as well as Judy's brothers and sisters, and many nieces, nephews and friends.
    Jack was preceded in death by his parents, as well as Judy's parents; Tony (Beulah) Van Schyndel, and several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
    Family and friends may call at RYAN FUNERAL HOME 305 N. Tenth Street, De Pere from 4:00PM - 8:00PM Thursday, February 23, 2017. Visitation will continue at 10:00AM Friday at St. Benedict Catholic Church, 3370 Deerfield Ave., Suamico, until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00AM. Burial will take place at St. Joseph Cemetery, Oneida.
