Obituary:
Gerald A. "Jerry" Leiterman, 92, De Pere, joined his one true love in heaven on Sunday, February 21, 2016. Gerald passed away peacefully at Century Ridge surrounded by his loved ones. He was born April 27, 1923, in De Pere to the late Peter and Cecelia (Van Den Heuvel) Leiterman. Gerald married the former Esther Delfosse on May 20, 1944, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. She preceded him in death on August 10, 2000. He served in the US Army from August 31, 1944, until his honorable discharge on August 31, 1946. Gerald and Esther owned and operated the family farm all their lives. While farming, he was also employed by Hougard and Foeller Construction. He shared many stories about helping to build the Packer Stadium. Gerald always looked forward to spending time with family and friends at their place up north. He spent many hours in the woods picking blackberries and blueberries. There was also many a good game of cards played with family and friends. Gerald loved his parties, "The bigger, the better!" Gerald was a longtime member of Holy Trinity Parish in Pine Grove and currently Prince of Peace Parish.
Gerald is survived his four children: Lorraine Heim and Leon Gilson; Robert (Mary) Leiterman; Judy (Bruce) Keller and Diane (Larry) Scray; one son-in-law, Joseph Dellis. 16 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, four great great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by one daughter, Dolores Dellis; two sons-in-law, Tom Collins and Russell Heim, 11 siblings and his Godchildren.
Friends may call at the Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason St. on Thursday from 4:00-7:00 pm. Parish Wake Service 7:00 pm Thursday. Visitation will continue on Friday at Prince of Peace Catholic Church 3425 Willow Rd., after 9:30 am until time of Mass. Funeral Mass 11:00 am Friday at the church with Msgr. James Feely officiating. Gerald's family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to Nicole and the staff at Century Ridge, where he spent the last seven years, especially Katie and Abby, as well as the nurses and staff of Unity Hospice, especially Melissa. Their care and consideration will always be remembered.
