McMahon, James W. "Moony"Age 80, died unexpectedly on Thursday March 11, 2004. Jim was born Octob er 18, 1923, in Eau Claire, WI to the late Lawrence and Blanche McMahon, a nd has lived in the Appleton area for most of his life. On September 21, 1 946, he married Doris Beringer in Appleton. The couple enjoyed 57 years to gether until her death in October of 2003. Jim worked at the Lake View pla nt for Kimberly Clark for many years, retiring in 1983. He loved to spe nd the Summers at his cottage in Mountain, WI and his Winters in Arizon a. Jim enjoyed watching football, especially the Packers. He had the "gi ft of gab" for the people he would encounter on his daily walks. Most of a ll, he loved to spend time with his grandchildren, whom he was very pro ud of.He will be sadly missed by his daughter Connie Boehler, of Shiocton; 2 son s: Michael (Ginny) McMahon, of Mesa, AZ; and Thomas (Cindy) McMahon, Litt le Chute. 9 Grandchildren: Jason Missling, Green Bay; Jennifer (Dave) Shep ard, Little Chute; Jessica Missling, Shiocton; Justin, Carly, and Colton M cMahon, all of Mesa, AZ.; Brad (Fiance Angie) McMahon, Waukesha; Jill, a nd Tim McMahon of Little Chute. A sister in law Helen McMahon, Appleton. N ephews Bob and Steve McMahon, Appleton. Jim is further survived by many ni eces and nephews.Jim is preceded in death by his wife Doris, his parents, a brother Lamoi ne "Porky" McMahon, and a sister Viola VanZeeland.A Funeral Service will be held at 6 pm Tuesday, March 16th at the Brettsch neider Trettin Lederer Funeral Chapel. Obituary:
Steven L. McMahon, age 55, of Appleton, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 04, 2015, at Appleton Medical Center. Steve was born in Appleton on April 27, 1960, to the late LaMoine L. and Helen D. (Lex) McMahon. He graduated with the class of 1978 at Appleton West High School, and then went on to earn an Associates Degree at Fox Valley Technical College. Steve worked as a custodian in charge of property and maintenance most of his life starting out at what was then known as Outagamie County Bank, he then moved to Memorial Presbyterian Church, Emmanuel United Methodist Church, and most recently at Lawrence University. He is a former member of the Appleton Jaycees where he was in charge of the Civics Celebration, and was also a member at Memorial Presbyterian Church, Appleton.
Steve is survived by his brother, Bob McMahon, Appleton; and is further survived by many cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial service will take place at 2 pm on Friday, December 11, 2015 at the Brettschneider-Trettin-Nickel Funeral Chapel. Friends may visit at the funeral chapel on Friday from 1 pm until the time of service. Inurnment will take place at Riverside Cemetery, Appleton. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established for the St. Joseph Food Program, 1465A Opportunity Way, Menasha, WI 54953 920-734-9461.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Oakridge Gardens and Brewster Village for the compassionate care given to Steve.
