    Formerly of Kimberly, age 87, died Sunday, July 22, 2001, at the St. Pa ul Home, Kaukauna. He was born February 13, 1914, in Little Chute, s on of the late Antone and Elizabeth (Van Roy) Boots. On October 15, 193 5, Henry married the former Elizabeth Hartjes at St. Paul Catholic Churc h, Combined Locks. The couple enjoyed 60 years of marriage together pri or to her death on November 2, 1995. Henry was employed at the Kimberly-Cl ark Mill in Kimberly, retiring in 1964. He enjoyed woodworking and home bu ilding and remodeling. Henry sold Christmas tress to area residents f or 25 years. Henry was a member of Holy Name Catholic Church, Kimberly, wh ere he had served as head usher for several years, was a past member of t he Holy Name Society and also served as a past member of the Planning Comm ission for the present church. He was also a member of the Golden Agers.
    Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Robert (Carol) Boots, Kimberl y; a daughter and son-in-law, Diane (Stephen) Smits, Combined Locks; ni ne grandchildren, Mary (Ralph) Van Nuland, Dr. James R. (Joan) Boots, Marg ery (Jay) Blondin, Dr. William J. (Emilie) Boots, Judy (Steve) Becker, Den nis (Carol) Smits, Thomas (Linda) Smits, Timothy (Patty) Smits, Sally (Jo e) Stiehl; 17 great-grandchildren; a brother, Frank "Amos" Boots, Appleto n; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Ann Lange, Freedom; Theresa (Gordo n) Schreurs, Little Chute; numerous nieces and nephews. Henry is further s urvived by his wife's family, Edward (Marie) Hartjes, Julius Hartjes, Ire ne Dupont, Margaret Grissman, Helen Mertens, Lucina (Larry) Jandrey, Rosea na (Ed) Cwick, Marilyn Hartjes, Edna Hartjes. He was preceded in dea th by his wife; two brothers and a sister-in-law, George "Red" (Marion) Bo ots, James "Tiny" Boots; a sister and two brothers-in-law, Katherine (Bo b) Martzahl and Martin Lange.
    Funeral services will be 5 p.m. Wednesday at Holy Name Catholic Church, Ki mberly, with Fr. Bob Vandenberg officiating. Burial in the parish cemeter y. Friends may call directly at the church from 3 p.m. Wednesday until t he time of services. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been establis hed in his name.     Franklin J. "Amos" Boots, of Appleton, age 85, passed away on Sunday, December 10, 2006, at Appleton Medical Center. Amos was born on June 2, 1921, in Little Chute to the late Antone and Elizabeth (Van Rooy) Boots. He proudly served his country with the United States Army during World War II. Upon completion of his military service, he returned to the area where he was united in marriage to Jeanette Mortensen, who preceded him in death. He retired from Kimberly-Clark/MidTech Paper.
    He was a member of the American Legion and Trinity Lutheran Church. Amos enjoyed fishing and golfing.
    He is survived by his son, Michael Boots, Indiana; granddaughter, Jessica Boots; special friend, Bonnie Bodway; brother-in-law Gordon Schreurs; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
    In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings: Red, Jim, Henry, Theresa, Katherine, and Ann.
    A memorial service for Amos will he held on Friday, December 15, 2006, at 11 a.m. at TRINITY LUTHERAN CHURCH, 209 S. Allen St., with Revs. Kurt and Mary Beth Kovanen officiating. Inurnment will take place at Highland Memorial Park. Friends may call at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.

    Bob Boots, age 73, found peace late Monday evening, September 6, 2010, at his home in Kimberly. Bob was born in Kimberly on June 25, 1937, son of the late Henry and Elizabeth (Hartjes) Boots. Following his graduation from Kimberly High School, he spent time in the Army, and on June 25, 1957, married the former Carol Vande Hey at Holy Name Church in Kimberly. For over thirty years, Bob was employed by Wisconsin Wire Works in Appleton in a variety of positions. After working there, he set out on his own, and founded Boots & Company in Kimberly, and established Sunset Estates Condominiums. Many will remember Bob for his love of sports, especially baseball and his involvement with Kimberly's youth baseball program. He coached many youngsters over the years in Little League and Pony League, and continued to mentor young athletes until his final day. He also started the basketball program at Westside Elementary and coached there for a time as well. In addition to being a sports enthusiast, Bob enjoyed his cottage on Lake Poygan and spending time with his family, especially his beloved grandchildren. Bob was a generous man, who was always willing to share his skills by helping family and friends with various construction and remodeling projects.
    He is survived by his wife: Carol Boots of Kimberly; five children: Mary (Ralph) Van Nuland of Kimberly; Dr. James "Jim" (Joan) Boots of Combined Locks; Margery (Jay) Blondin of Combined Locks; Dr. William "Bill" (Emilie) Boots of Combined Locks; and Judy (Steve Becker) Boots-Becker of De Pere; thirteen grandchildren: Ellen Christie, Rebecca Van Nuland, Jacob Van Nuland, Matthew Boots, Eric Boots, Kevin Boots, Kimberly Boots, Thomas Blondin, Joshua Blondin, Elizabeth Boots, Jennifer Boots, Benjamin Boots, and Luke Becker. Bob is also survived by a sister: Diane (Stephen) Smits of Combined Locks; a sister-in-law: Barbara Vande Hey of Kimberly; and two brothers-in-law: John "Jack" (Marian) Vande Hey of Greenleaf and Robert Bolwerk of Combined Locks. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister-in-law Helen Bolwerk and a brother-in-law Ronald Vande Hey.
    The funeral liturgy for Bob will be held at 12 Noon on Friday, September 10, 2010, at HOLY SPIRIT PARISH, 600 E. Kimberly Avenue in Kimberly, with Fr. David Beaudry officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m., and again at the church on Friday morning from 10 p.m. until the hour of the service. There will be a parish prayer and scripture service at the funeral home at 8 p.m. Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established.

    Age 70, of Appleton, passed away Sunday, January 19, 2014 at Fox River Nursing and Rehabilitation Center after a short illness. Tom was born in Green Bay on March 2, 1943 to the late Martin and Anna (Boots) Lange Sr. Tom graduated at Freedom High School with the class of 1962. On December 5, 1970, he was united in marriage to Barb Ayers at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Freedom. The couple has enjoyed over 43 years together. Tom and Barb loved their annual trips to Hawaii for 32 years. They also volunteered for the Fox Cities Marathon. He was also an avid Packer fan. Tom was a member at St. Bernard Catholic Church where he was an usher.
    He is survived by his wife Barb, Appleton; 2 brothers: Gerald (Delores) Lange, Appleton and Martin "Herb" Lange, Town of Freedom; 2 sisters: Sue (John) Hricik, Johnson City, NY and Laura (special friend Bob) LeMere, New Britain, CT. He is further survived by nieces and nephews.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, and his mother- and father-in-law Verda and Jack Ayers.
    A Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated at 11 am Thursday, January 23, 2014 at St. Bernard Catholic Church, 1617 W. Pine St. Appleton, with Father Dennis Ryan officiating. Friends may visit directly at the church on Thursday from 9 am until the time of service. Entombment will take place at Highland Memorial Park. A memorial fund has been established.
    The family would like to extent a special thank you to the staff in the ICU at St. Elizabeth Hospital - especially Diane, Jackie from Right at Home in Kimberly, and their special neighbors Patrick and Sarah for their kindness, care, and compassion.

    Barbara Schreurs - Tigerton - Barbara Ann Schreurs, age 52, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, December 26, 2017.
    She was born on November 26, 1965, daughter of the late Gordon and Theresa (Boots) Schreurs.
    Barbara is survived by her siblings: Donna (Larry) Blake, Mary Schreurs and Daniel Schreurs; her special friend, Dennis Hoskins; an aunt, Betty (Leonard) Maufort; many cousins and other friends.
    Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Gordon and Theresa and an infant sister, Julie.
