    Obituary:
    Carol Joan Heckner (Kruse), age 85 of Redgranite, formerly of Neenah, passed away Wednesday, September 3, 2014, at Appleton Medical Center. Carol was born March 12, 1929, in La Crosse, Wisconsin, a daughter of Ernest and Molly (Baylor) Kruse. She was raised in Appleton and was a 1946 Graduate of Neenah High School.
    Carol married Leonard J. "Lenny" Heckner August 12, 1950, at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Neenah. Lenny preceded Carol in death August 11, 2007, after 57 years of Marriage.
    Carol had been employed in the Accounting Department at Kimberly-Clark Corporation in Neenah for 14 years until she retired in 1962 to raise her family. She had been a member of St. Gabriel's Catholic Church in Neenah, and was a Den Mother of Cub Scout Pack #74 of St. Gabriel's. She was the oldest living member of the Nicolet Ladies of Neenah-Menasha, a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters, a member of the Sweet Adelines of Neenah, and had been a Fuller Brush salesperson. She was also an avid weaver and sewer, enjoyed playing cribbage, singing, and doing jigsaw puzzles with her granddaughter, Sammi. She was a HUGE Green Bay Packer fan, and had a great love of animals. Carol enjoyed cooking, baking bread, and gardening. In her earlier years, she enjoyed golfing and fishing.
    Carol and Len moved to Redgranite in 1991, and became very active in St. Mark's Catholic Parish. She was a member of the C.C.W., was a lector for many years, a member of St. Mark's Parish Council, and a member of Right to Life of Wautoma. Carol continued to enjoy many of her other hobbies and organizations.
    Survivors include her daughter, Donna (Walter) Topp of Redgranite; 2 sons, Bruce (Denise) Heckner and Daniel (Michelle) Heckner, both of Neenah; 2 granddaughters, Breanna Heckner, a student at UW-Stevens Point, and Sammi Heckner at home. Carol is also survived by 5 sisters, Jean Seithamer, Shirley Van Dyke, and Molly Sue (John) Reuss all of Neenah; Helen Manser of Appleton; and Ruth Ann Loehning of Greenville; a sister-in-law, Kathy (Tom) Grether of Kaukauna; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many dear friends.
    A MEMORIAL MASS for Carol J. Heckner will be held Thursday morning, September 11, 2014 at 11 a.m. at St. Mark's Catholic Church in Redgranite (228 Church Street, West Side of Redgranite, 2 blocks south of Highway 21. Turn South at the car wash.) Father Joseph Mattern and Deacon Robert Precourt will be the Presiders. Following the Mass, Carol will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband Lenny in St. Mark's Parish Cemetery, Redgranite.
    VISITATION: Carol's family will receive relatives and friends from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Thursday morning Only, prior to the Mass at St. Mark's Catholic Church, Redgranite.
    A Memorial has been established.

    Neenah - Shirley G. Van Dyke, age 85, passed away early Monday, April 23, 2018. She was born January 25, 1933 to the late Ernest and Molly (Boehler) Kruse and grew up in Appleton, later moving to Neenah.
    Shirley strived to live by two rules: "Be a good person," and "Be responsible." She leaves behind her three children: Peter Joseph (Nancy) Van Dyke and their son, Corey (Kaitlin); Jane Marie Van Dyke; and Linda Jo (Dan) Van Dyke. She is further survived by her sisters: Jean Seithamer; Ruthann Loehning; Helen Manser; and Molly Sue (John) Reuss; as well as many nieces and nephews; and her best friend, Marlene Dion. She was preceded in death by her sister, Carol Heckner.
    A Memorial Service for Shirley will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, April 26, 2018 at Menasha's Westgor Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of service.
    In lieu of flowers, please come with a story about Shirley, and consider making a donation in her name to your favorite charity.
    The family would like to extend a special thank you to Shirley's sister Helen for all of her support and nurturing care throughout her final days.
    Shirley's children were her pride and joy, and they will miss her dearly.
