    Obituary:
    Mrs. Elizabeth Hoffmann, 91, died Thursday noon after a two day illness at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Norbert Koehler, St. John Calumet County. Mrs. Hoffmann was born in Charlestown April 4, 1864, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. August Nisler. April 18, 1893 she married George Hoffmann at St. Charles Catholic Church in Charlesburg. The couple lived on a farm south of Charlesburg until the death of Mr. Hoffmann in 1938. Three years later Mrs. Hoffman moved to the Koehler home and has lived there since.
    Survivors are two sons, Joseph of New Holstein and August of St. John, two daughters, Mrs. Ferdinand (Theresa) Leitner of New Holstein and Mrs. Robert (Anna) Koehler of St. John, 11 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
    In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, three sisters and a brother. Funeral services will be held at the Erbe-Hoffmann Funeral Home in Chilton and a solemn requiem high mass will be offered at St. Charles Catholic Church in Charlesburg. Officials of the mass will be Rev. Francis J. Melchiors, pastor and celebrant, the Rev. Leonard Woefel of St. John's, deacon and the Rev. Lambert Scanlon of New Holstein, sub deacon.

    Alice M. Kiesner, age 83, of Chilton, died on Saturday, February 16, 2013, at Willowdale Health & Rehab Center in New Holstein. She was born July 25, 1929 in New Holstein, daughter of the late Joseph & Eleanor (Pitzen) Hoffmann.
    Alice married Henry Kiesner on November 20, 1948 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in New Holstein. The couple farmed together in the Town of Chilton and operated Kiesner's Pheasant Farm. Alice also worked as a Nurses Aide at what was then known as the Chilton Village.
    She was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church. She thoroughly enjoyed her time spent up north and traveling with her husband. Alice appreciated every moment of time spent outdoors and gardening.
    Alice was such a wonderful and caring mom; her love of family was so great and she went out of her way to make sure that the needs of those she loved were taken care of before her own. She always looked forward to, and enjoyed special moments and visits from her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
    Survivors include her children: Richard (Donna) Kiesner of Chilton, Mary (Steven) Hintz of Sheboygan, Sue Peterson of Appleton, Tom (Sheryl) Kiesner of Chilton, David (Shannon) Kiesner of Menasha; a daughter-in-law: Debbie Kiesner of Kaukauna; 15 grandchildren: Wendy, Dawn (Matt) Jeff, Laura, Michael, Andrew, Marla, Joey, Nathan (Lisa) Craig, Stephanie, Amy, Kim, Katie, Samuel; 7 great-grandchildren; 3 sisters: Kathleen VanderPutten of New Holstein, Mary Jane (Mel) Rother of Appleton, Bernice Kraus of Mt. Calvary; a brother: George (Judy) Hoffmann of New Holstein; and her in-laws: Ron (Marion) Freund of Glenbeulah, Wayne Schomisch of CA, and Madalene Dumke of Chilton. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
    She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Henry; an infant daughter: Marlene Kiesner; a son: Kenneth Kiesner; 3 sisters: Celeste Hoffmann, Elizabeth Freund, Anita Schomisch; and her in-laws: Robert VanderPutten, Ralph Krause and Ray Dumke.
    Funeral service will be at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at Good Shepherd Catholic Church (54 E. Main St.) in Chilton with the Rev. Bob Kollath officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Mary Catholic Cemetery. Friends may call at the church from 11:30 am until 1:45 pm on Tuesday, February 19, 2013.

    Kenneth J. Kiesner, age 53, Wrightstown, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, December 03, 2006, at St. Elizabeth's Hospital, Appleton. He was born September 1, 1953, in Fond Du Lac, son of Henry and Alice (Hoffmann) Kiesner. He graduated from Chilton High School, and married Debbie VanderLogt in 1976, at St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Freedom. He served his country in the United States National Guard. Ken currently owned and operated K&D Trucking, De Pere. He liked the outdoors, cutting wood, hunting, John Deere, and going on vacation. Ken was always willing to meet new people and help anyone he could.
    Survivors include his mother, Alice Hoffman; wife, Debbie; three children: Nate, Craig, and Stephanie; brothers and sisters: Richard (Donna) Kiesner, Mary (Steve) Hintz, Sue Peterson, Tommy (Sheryl) Kiesner, and David (Shannon) Kiesner; and numerous nieces and nephews.
    He was preceded in death by his father.
    Family and friends may call Wednesday, December 6, 2006, from 11 a.m.-4 p.m., at St. Paul Catholic Church in Wrightstown. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 4 p.m., Wednesday, at church, with Msgr. John Schuh officiating. Interment will be in St. Paul's Catholic Cemetery. DeWane-Cotter Funeral Home, Wrightstown, is assisting the family. Online condolences may be expressed at
