    Mitchell, Florence W. nee V an De HeyFlorence W. Mitchell, Kaukauna, age 91, died at St. Paul Home in Kaukau na on December 6, 2005. She was born on June 26, 1914 in Wrightstown to t he late Peter and Rose (Bries) Van De Hey and lived in the Appleton area m ost of her life. On June 21, 1934 she married Lester G. Mitchell at St. Pa ul's Church in Wrightstown. They celebrated their 50th anniversary on Ju ne 21, 1984 before he preceded her in death on May 18, 1988. She work ed at Tuttle Press and Service Bakery. Upon retirement Florence volunteer ed at St. Elizabeth Hospital Gift Shop for many years until her health for ced her to quit. On May 25, 1982 she was awarded the Mother of the Ye ar in the Fraternal Order of the Eagles. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, c rafting, playing cards, and volunteering her services at St. Bernadette' s.She is survived by her two sons and their wives: Jerome (Ann) Mitchell, a nd Lloyd (Sandra) Mitchell; five grandchildren: Michael Mitchell (Sp. Frie nd Pamela Landeau), Ann Marie (Bradley) Mitchell-Eggert, Keith Mitchell (S p. Friend Linda Stache), Barbara Mitchell, Steven Mitchell (Sp. Friend Lau ra Konitzer); seven great-grandchildren: Megan Nicole Mitchell, Tyler Mitc hell, Felicia Eggert, Briana Eggert, Scott (Shelly) Thompson, Laura Thomps on, Jestiss Konitzer, and a great-great- grandchild, Ahna Thompson. She w as very proud of her 5 generation family. She is further survived by her s isters: Dorothy Planner, Kimberly, Frances (Mark) Verbeten, Wrightstown; s isters-in-law: Gertrude Van De Hey, Wrightstown; Dorothy Zelzer, Kimberl y; Lee Van De Hey, Green Bay; Helen Mitchell, Appleton; and Viola Van Ryzi n, Appleton; as well as many nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by h er mother and father-in-law: Alvina and Arthur Rosenthal; brothers: Ervi n, Elzar, James, Elard, and Edward Van De Hey; sisters: Margaret Englehard t, Gladys Verhagen, Clara Wallace, and Mable Weisgerber.Funeral Services for Mrs. Mitchell will be held on Saturday, December 1 0, 2005 at 12:30 p.m. with Fr. Don Zuleger officiating at the Wichmann Fun eral Home Tri-County Chapel (3212 S. Oneida Street). Friends may call at t he Tri-County Chapel from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the service. Interm ent will be in Highland Memorial Park in Appleton.The family extends a special thank you to the staff at St. Paul Villa a nd St. Paul Home for their wonderful care.     Jerry Mitchell, age 81 of Appleton, passed away Sunday, April 3, 2016 in a Florida hospital. Jerry was born in Appleton, Wisconsin on November 30, 1934, son of the late Lester and Florence (Van De Hey) Mitchell and spent most of his life in the Fox Valley area. He was a 1953 graduate of the Appleton High School and proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army from 1953 to 1955. He went on to receive a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering in 1959, and a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering in 1976 - both from the University of Wisconsin - Madison. On June 20, 1959, Jerry married Ann Van Gompel at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Sherwood. Most of his working career was spent at the Kimberly - Clark Corporation. Jerry retired in 1995 as a Senior Engineering Manager. Following his retirement, he and Ann divided their time between Wisconsin and Florida. He loved to play golf and cards, as well as traveling in his retirement years. He was a charter member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Appleton, was a Licensed Professional Engineer from 1963 until 2008, belonged to the VFW and American Legion, the Moose Lodge, and the B.P.O.E. In his younger years, the couple enjoyed bowling in the church league and Jerry always looked forward to deer hunting with his son, Michael. Jerry also loved going out to Ann Marie's house on Lake Winnebago and helping her with various chores. Visiting with his granddaughter and great-granddaughter was also a great joy for Jerry. While in Florida, Jerry was an active volunteer at Edison Community College as well as Fawcett Memorial Hospital.
    Jerry is survived by his loving wife: Ann Mitchell of Appleton and Port Charlotte, Florida; his son: Michael (special friend Jamie) Mitchell of Oshkosh; his daughter: Ann Marie Mitchell of Stockbridge; his granddaughter: Megan Mitchell of Milwaukee; his great-granddaughter: Lola Mitchell of Milwaukee. Also surviving are his in-laws: Clement Van Gompel, James (Frances) Van Gompel, Therese Bednarowski, Bonnie Van Gompel, and Sandra Mitchell. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother: Lloyd Mitchell; Ann's parents: Vincent and Johanna Van Gompel; a sister-in-law: Agnes Van Gompel; brothers-in-law: John Bednarowski and Gerald Van Gompel.
    A funeral service with full military honors for Jerry will be held at the Wichmann Funeral Home, Tri County Chapel, 1592 Oneida Street in Menasha on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at 11:00 AM. Fr. Gerald Falk will be officiating. Entombment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Appleton. Family and friends are invited to gather at the funeral home on Saturday morning from 9:00 AM until the hour of the service.

    Jerry was a very loving man who was devoted to his wife, family, and friends. He was a great husband, father, and friend who will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by all whose lives he touched.

    Lloyd F. Mitchell, age 76, of Appleton, passed away Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at Appleton Medical Center. Lloyd was born on February 27, 1936 to the late Lester and Florence (Van De Hey) Mitchell in Appleton. On May 10, 1958, he married Sandy Winters, and together they celebrated 54 years of marriage. Lloyd worked for Curwood of New London for over 40 years. He enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, reading, golfing, bowling and watching the Packers play, but above all, he loved being with his family.
    He is survived by his loving wife Sandy, three wonderful children; Keith (Linda Stache) Mitchell, Barbara (Mike Hurley) Mitchell, and Steven (Laura Konitzer) Mitchell; grandchildren, Jestiss and Tyler and great granddaughter, Akira. Lloyd is further survived by his brother, Jerry (Ann) Mitchell, brother in law, Jerry (Florence) Winters and sister in law Audrey Winters as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
    Lloyd is preceded in death by his parents and brother in law, Duane Winters.
    In keeping with Lloyd's wishes, no services will be held.
