    Edna Mae (Rice) Wroblewski, age 89, New London passed away on Friday, May 12, 2017. She was born in New London on July 30, 1927, daughter of the late, Frank and Ella (Boville) Rice. On September 5, 1945, Edna Mae was united in marriage to David P. Wroblewski at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church in New London. They celebrated 65 years of marriage before David's death on February, 18, 2011. She was employed at Elm Tree Bakery and for many years worked at Hillshire Farms, New London. Edna Mae enjoyed spending time at the Bear Lake cottage and the deer cabin up north. She enjoyed fishing (if the fish were biting), bingo, slot machines, and knitting. Edna Mae also enjoyed traveling; some of her trips included, Canada, Florida and Las Vegas. She had a devotion to her catholic faith; was a life long member to Most Precious Blood Catholic Church, New London and had a special devotion to Virgin Mary.
    Edna Mae is survived by her children, David (Patty); Janice (Thomas Sr.) Steffek; Marvin (Cheryl); Duane (Linda); son-in-law, Wm. Sypek; a sister, Karen (Chuck), Wolf; sisters-in-law, Ruth Wroblewski and Irene Van Ornum. Grandchildren: David's children: James Sr. (Gina), his sons, Grant and James Jr.; Jennifer Griffin; her sons, Bryce Griffin (Natasha Pirk) & baby girl on her way; Cody Griffin; step-son Ty (Carissa) Griffin, their daughter Aaliyah; Sharon's children, Stacy (Robert) Weeks, sons, Bobby and Michael; Sarah Ochowicz; her daughter Amanda (Jacob Farr), their son Danny and Andrew J. Ochowicz; Janice's children, Thomas Jr. (Crystal) Steffek, their children Geryd and Mariah; Keith, Gary, and Daryl Steffek; Marv's children, Michael and Charles Wroblewski; Duane's family, Bryan (Fiancé, Kelly Schwartz) and Nicole (Troy) Free.
    She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
    She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, infant sister Mary; brother Frank Rice, daughter Sharon Sypek; grandchildren Steve Wroblewski and Lisa Steffek; brothers and sisters in-law, Victor Wroblewski, Max (Laura) Wroblewski; Ted (Susie) Wroblewski; Martha (John) Warmbrunn; Hattie (John) Rasmussen, Clayton Van Ornum and Jean Rice.
    Funeral Mass for Edna Mae will be held on Monday, May 15, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church, New London with Fr. John Kleinschmidt officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be at the church on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
