Kelly, Gertrude, (nee Dugan) Green Bay/KaukaunaAge 93, died Friday, October 11, 2002 at the St. Paul Home, Kaukauna. S he was born December 25, 1908 in Cedar River, Michigan, daughter of the la te Tim and May (Williams) Dugan. Gertrude and her husband, A.J. lived in t he Green Bay area most of their married lives. Following his death in 199 5, she moved to Kaukauna. Gertrude enjoyed spending time in northern Wisco nsin at their cabin. She was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Kau kauna. Survivors include a son-in-law, Wilfred "Wolfie" Powers, Kaukaun a; two grandchildren: Kelly Ann (Jon) Johnson, Madison; Brian (Michelle) P owers Appleton; two great- grandchildren: Brittany and Erin Powers; two si sters and a brother-in-law: Dorothy Stahl, Milwaukee; Eleanor Maraska, Cal ifornia; Ken Bell, Menomonie; a sister-in-law, Betty Dugan, Menomonie; num erous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, A.J .; a daughter, Joan Powers in 2001, a grandson, Michael; five brothers: Ti mothy, Jerry, Jim, Doug and Archie; four sisters: Margaret Sandberg, Valer ie Bell, Jean Dugan and Loretta Hubert. Funeral services will be he ld at 5 p.m. Monday at St. Aloysius Church, Kaukauna with Father David Sch midt officiating. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Kaukauna. Frien ds may call directly at the church from 2 p.m. Monday until the time of t he services. A memorial fund has been established in her name. The Boettch er Family Funeral Home, Kaukauna is assisting the family.

She was born December 4, 1929 in Menomonee, Michiga n; daughter of A.J. and Gertrude (Dugan) Kelly. Joan attended and graduat ed from St. Patrick Grade School and St. Joseph Academy in Green Bay. On S eptember 30, 1950 she married Wilfred Powers at St. Patrick Catholic Churc h, Green Bay. The couple lived in Kaukauna their entire married lives. Jo an worked for the Bank of Kaukauna for ten years. She enjoyed collecting c ook books, playing cards and bingo. Joan especially enjoyed spending ti me with the grandchildren. She was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Churc h, where she was a Past President of the Parish Council and was a memb er of the VFW Auxiliary Posts 3319.Survivors include her husband, Wilfred "Wolfie", Kaukauna; a daughter a nd son-in-law, Kelly Ann (Jon) Johnson, Madison; a son and daughter-in-la w, Brian (Michelle) Powers, Appleton; and Dr. Jeff (Valerie) Palarski (wh om she always considered part of the family), Roscoe, Illinois; two grandc hildren, Brittany and Erin Powers; her mother, Gertrude Kelly, Kaukauna. S he is further survived by her husband's family: Richard (Marie) Powers, Ap pleton; Sherman (Patty) Powers, Denton, Texas; and Al Zirbel, Wrightstow n; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, A .J.; and a son, Michael.Funeral services will be held 11:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Aloysius Cathol ic Church, Kaukauna with Fr. David Schmidt officiating. Burial in Holy Cro ss Cemetery, Kaukauna. Friends may call at BOETTCHER FAMILY FUNERAL HOM E, 2401 Fieldcrest Dr., Kaukauna from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and after 10: 30 a.m. Thursday directly at the church until the time of services. The re will be a parish prayer service at 7 p.m. Wednesday. A memorial fund h as been established in her name.The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at the ICU at St. El izabeth Hospital, Appleton and St. Joseph Hospital, Milwaukee and al so to the staff of Life Care Specialties in Milwaukee and Fesenius Medic al Care (Dialysis Unit) in Appleton. Kelly Ann Powers, Kaukauna, age 57 died unexpectedly on Monday, July 18, 2016 as the result of a heart attack. She was born December 9, 1958 in Kaukauna, WI, daughter of the late Wilfred "Wolfie" and Joan (Kelly) Powers. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Kaukauna.
Kelly attended Kaukauna High School and was a graduate of the Madison Business College. She was actively working as a Court Reporter where she was enjoying an exceptional 35-year career. During this time, she worked in the Dane County, Cook County, and Waupaca County Court Systems. She was known as being a true professional and a proud and active member of the National Court Reporters and Wisconsin Court Reporters Associations.
Kelly was an avid Packer and Badger fan. She adored and shared stories of her nieces to her closest friends. Kelly was also as an animal lover and was so proud of her late dog Oden whom she referred to as a "handsome man" and her Bassett Gus who she would call "my little baby". Kelly had an amazing personality, smile and her laugh was both adorable and contagious. She was also an extremely generous person donating both her time and money for so many. Her contributions were numerous, and one of the most memorable was where she volunteered her reporting services to the Veterans Project, recording personal accounts of history from veterans, many of whom were wounded and aging.
Kelly is survived by her brother Brian Powers of Hortonville; Michelle Powers; her nieces: Brittany and Erin Powers; and many close friends and relatives. Kelly is preceded in death by her parents Wilfred and Joan Powers as well as her infant brother Michael.
Funeral services for Kelly will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 23, 2016 at St. Katharine Drexel Parish at St. Mary Church, 119 W Seventh Street, Kaukauna, with Fr. Jerry Pastors officiating.
