    John Klein, 88, Neenah, died after a recent illness Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2010, at Valley VNA. He was born Nov. 19, 1921, in Green Bay, son of Frank and Eva (Patzel) Klein. John married Jeanne A. Fahrbach on Sept. 2, 1946, and she preceded him in death May 21, 2004.
    Mr. Klein was a member of St. Gabriel Catholic Church, Neenah. John served as an altar boy at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Green Bay, during his childhood. He was a 60-plus year member of Neenah Menasha Elks Lodge #676 and the D.A.V. Chapter 46, Neenah-Menasha. John served as an alderman in Menasha and as Mayor of Menasha. He was employed as a crossing guard in Neenah for many years and as a custodian at Lakeview School, Neenah. He was also employed at Marcus Theaters.
    Mr. Klein was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII, serving in the European Theater as a tank driver under the command of General George S. Patton.
    John is survived by his children, Mark J. Klein, Owen, Wis.; Christopher L. "Kip" Klein, Vista, Calif.; Connie J. Klein, Appleton; John L. Jr. "Jack" (Suzanne) Klein, Neenah; grandchildren, Melissa A. (David) Klein, Jaimie Lynn Klein, Marla and Corbin Klein; three great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Mason and Vincent; a brother, Joe (Bea) Klein, De Pere; a sister, Mary Kern, Green Bay; a sister-in-law, Jone Wonser, Neenah.
    He was also preceded in death by his parents; a daughter-in-law, Patti Klein; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Edward and Verena Fahrbach; a brother, Robert Klein; brothers-in-law, Ambrose Kern and Orv Wonser; sister-in-law, Betty (Pat) Flynn.
    Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 16, 2010, at St. Gabriel Catholic Church, 900 Geiger St., Neenah, with Fr. Richard Allen officiating. Interment will be in St. Margaret Cemetery, Neenah. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Kessler Funeral Home, 304 S. Commercial St., Neenah, and from 10 a.m. Tuesday at the church until the time of the Mass. A prayer service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. An Elks prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
    In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established.
    John's family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to Valley VNA and staff along with Theda Clark Medical Center and staff for their wonderful care and compassion.

    Obituary:
    Constance "Connie" J. Klein 64 passed away peacefully on November 14, 2016 at her home in Appleton, Wisconsin surrounded by her loving family. She was born to the late John and Jeanne (Fahrbach) Klein on August 2, 1952 in Neenah, Wisconsin.
    Connie was a fan of music and art. She had a unique gift of interior design. Traveling was a favorite past-time to various parts of the country. She loved her family, laughter, and serving others.
    She is survived by her daughter: Gayle (Jeff) Fentin Kluesner of Melbourne, Florida; her brothers; Mark Klein of Owen, Wisconsin; Christopher "Kip" Klein of Vista, California; and John "Jack" (Suzanne) Klein of Neenah, Wisconsin; nieces and nephews: Jamie Lynn (Joe) Gomez, Marla Klein, Corbin Klein, and Melissa Klein.
    Connie was preceded in death by her parents.
    A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 26, 2016 at WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME at 537 N. Superior St. Appleton, Wisconsin, with a visitation from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM, ending with a prayer service and reflection with Deacon Steve VandeHey.
