    Obituary:
Gary L. McIntyre, 67 of Little Chute, died Wednesday, February 3, 2016, at Appleton Medical Center after a long illness. He was born in Appleton, WI, August 1, 1948, son of Norman and Gloria (Hauser) McIntyre. He graduated from Appleton High School in 1966.
Gary was a man with many talents and interests. He read widely and could converse on everything from politics to religion, history, literature, poetry, music, and the Wisconsin Badgers. For a few years Gary played guitar in a country-western band with his sister, Sherry. He was a songwriter who recorded some of his music in Nashville with Brad, his younger brother.
Gary worked for Fox River Bus Lines in many capacities, including overseeing the charter coach side of the business. Later he was employed by Schneider Trucking Company as a driver. But always he made time for music, and rare was the week when he did not buy the Sunday New York Times.
On the wall of his home there is a saying that sums up Gary's approach to life, "Better is one's own path though imperfect than the path of another well made." His family will always cherish the music he left behind.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Sherry Mueller. He is survived by his sister, Linda Carew, Appleton; his brother, Brad McIntyre, Little Chute; and numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins.
A memorial service will be held 5:00 p.m. Friday, February 19, 2016 at Valley Funeral Home, Gary's family will receive relatives and friends at the funeral home on Friday from 4-5 p.m.
The family would like to thank Gary's closest friends, Tom and Mary Ciske, Mark Behr, and Jack and Frieda Logan and their son, Steve, from Nashville. Thank you also to the wonderful staff of the Intensive Care Unit at Appleton Medical Center.
