Obituary:
Alvina Servais, 93, Green Bay, died peacefully at a local community-based residential facility on Thursday, July 12, 2012. Born on July 2, 1919, in the Town of Preble, she is the daughter of the late Arthur and Eleanor (Martin) Francois. September 28, 1940, she married Clayton Joseph "Spike" Servais at Blessed Sacrament Church, and he preceded her in death on May 14, 2003. Alvina was proud of the wonderful family that she raised, and the exceptional love and support that she provided to her husband, Clayton. She enjoyed bowling, and doing needlework and crafts. The fruits of her labor adorn the homes of her friends and family. Alvina also loved canning and cooking - especially during the holidays, and times when the family was together.
Alvina is survived by one son, Donald (Connie Kane) Servais, Cross Plains, WI; two daughters, Judy (Daniel) Vande Hei, De Pere, and Sandi Bain, Green Bay; eight grandchildren, Lilly (Nate Seay), Maggie, and Clayton Servais, Danette Vande Hei, Kristine (James) Cryns, Joseph (Tara) Vande Hei, James Vande Hei, and Kaye (Scott Redeker) Bain; six great grandchildren, Brandon and Brooklyn Vande Hei, Zoe and Rory Cryns, Donovan Vande Hei, and Riley Redeker; one sister, June Kulhanek; and in-laws, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, and her parents.
Visitation at Blessed Sacrament Church, 825 Webster Avenue, Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral. Funeral Mass 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church with the Rev. Ray Rierson officiating. Entombment in Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum. MALCORE (East) Funeral Home is assisting the family with funeral arrangements, 432-5579.
