Katelyn Mary Fitzgerald, age two of Hortonville, died unexpectedly on Saturday, April 9, 2011. A Child with so much love and so much independence, her favorite words were "I do it" and "Mama this so good" Always helpful and contributing at such a young age she always wanted to help with the cooking and chores around the house. She loved playing with her brother, sister, and cousins as well as torturing the cats and dogs. The loving memory of a smile that touched so many people will be missed but never forgotten. Mom and dad's hearts are broken that you were taken from us so soon, but the joy and warmth of your heart has touched us and will forever be with us. We love you always and forever, our little peanut.
Katelyn was born on December 16, 2008, in Appleton, Wisconsin, the daughter of Brian and Cathrine (Stoltz) Fitzgerald. Katelyn is survived by her parents; siblings, Brandyn, Kyra, and Bryce; maternal grandmother, Edwina Stoltz; paternal grandmother, April Fitzgerald; paternal great-grandparents, "Papa" Al and Audrey Brown; and godparents, Sharon (Paul) Brzezinski and their children Teddy, Amanda (son Ethan) and Sara. Katelyn is also survived by Uncle Brian (Katie) Stoltz and their children Jessica, Heather, and Justin; Aunt Linda (Tom) Nennig and their children Ashley (son Corbin and daughter Audi), Heidi, and Jeremy; Uncle Kenny (Pam) Stoltz and their children Adam and Andy; Aunt Karen Stoltz and her children Alicia (daughter Jaydon) and Brielle; Uncle Norbert (Paula) Stoltz and their children Travis and Mikey; and Uncle Lenard (Julie) Stoltz and their children Mackenzee and Mason; paternal great-aunts and uncles, Andy (Kari) Brown and their children Dani (son Logan) and Luke; Amy Van Elezen and her children Jessica (daughters Samantha and Gwen), Amber (daughter Olivia) and Matt; and Ann (Randy) Remus and their children Holly (daughter Macy and son Rowen) and Rory.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, April 15th, from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. Mass to follow at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 109 N. Olk Street, Hortonville, WI. Rev. Msgr. Jim Feely and Parish Director Greg Layton will be celebrating the life and memory of Katelyn. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established.
