    Obituary:
George J. Bruckner age 86, of Chilton died on Saturday, January 11, 2014 at the Chilton Care Center. He was born October 30, 1927 in Chilton, son of the late George & Margaret (Basler) Bruckner; he attended St Mary's Catholic School and graduated from Chilton Sr. High School in 1945.
George married Joan C. Miller on August 26, 1950 at St. Mary Catholic Church. He began working for the Carnation Co. at the age of 16, retiring at the age of 62 after 46 years of service.
Throughout his life, he enjoyed spending time with his family, playing Skat, and the great outdoors: hunting, fishing and gardening. He used his extensive knowledge and his limitless tool supply to help all of his children build and/or remodel their homes.
George was the "Jack of all trades"; there wasn't anything he couldn't build or fix; anyone who knew George could count on him to help them with their projects. It brought him great joy to know that his skills and knowledge were passed down to his children and grandchildren.

    Obituary:
Thomas James Bruckner, age 48, formerly of Chilton, currently residing in Cayuga, WI passed away unexpectedly on Monday, September 26, 2011. Tom was born March 18, 1963 in Chilton to George and Joan (Miller) Bruckner.
Tom had a heart of gold who was forever watching out for others and making sure that the needs of those around him were met before his own. His entire life was spent positively impacting the lives of everyone who knew him.
Tom was a graduate of Chilton High School, and had been operating the Cayuga Hotel Saloon for the past three years. He was a free spirit at heart who enjoyed playing softball with his countless friends, hunting the great outdoors with whomever wanted to go with him or those that wanted to "learn to hunt". During the winter months, Tom would be thinking about spearing the big one while sturgeon fishing with his friends from the Neighborhood Sturgeon Spearing Club.
Above all else, his nieces and nephews meant the world to him and Tom always looked forward to spending time with them.
Survivors include his parents: George and Joan of Chilton, 4 brothers: Paul (Sharon) Bruckner of Stockbridge, Peter (Laureen) Bruckner of Manitowish Waters, John (Pat) Bruckner of Chilton, James (Kathy) Bruckner of Chilton; 12 nieces and nephews including his Goddaughter, Terri, and Godson, Jacob; 14 great nieces and nephews, and countless friends.
Funeral service will be at 3:00 PM on Sunday, October 2, 2011 at the Wieting Family Funeral Home (411 W. Main St.) in Chilton with the Rev. Bob Kollath officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 11:00 AM until 2:30 PM on Sunday, October 2, 2011. A memorial fund has been established in the name of Thomas J. Bruckner.
Your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure. You are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure. We all shook the hand of the man who shook the world! And we are all grateful we got the chance, Tommy...
