Obituary:
Naomi B. (Freund) Ziebell, of Appleton, age 94, died Friday, Feb. 27, 2004 at Riverside Medical Center in Waupaca. She was born in Omro on Feb. 17, 1910 to the late John J. and Rose (Schrage) Freund. On Nov. 15, 1947 she married Edwin Ziebell. He preceded her in death on Nov. 1, 1971.
She is survived by a daughter, Patricia Ziebell; son, Larry (Patti) Ziebell; step-daughter, Germaine (Robert) Nowak; daughter-in-law, Judi Ziebell; eight grandchildren, seven great grandchildren; a sister, Francis Blount; brother, John Freund and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Naomi was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Kenneth Ziebell; step-daughter, Adeline Schalk; brothers, Ernie and Alvin and sisters, Adell and Alice.
The Funeral Mass will be 4 p.m. on Monday, March 1, 2004 at St. Edward's Catholic Church, N 2921 Hwy 47, Mackville, with Father Charles Brooks officiating. Visitation will be from 3 to 4 p.m. at the church on Monday. Visitation will also be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday evening at Valley Funeral Home, with a vigil service at 7:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established.
The family wishes to extend a special thanks to the ICU staff at Riverside Medical Center in Waupaca.
