    Eldo A. Poole, 85, died unexpectedly Thursday, February 8, 2001 at Theda Clark Medical Center in Neenah.
    He was born October 27, 1915 in Hortonville, son of the late Rufus and Amanda (Tank) Poole. He graduated from Hortonville High School. On October 25, 1941, he married Charlotte Lecy in Dale, WI. American Can Co. employed Eldo for 38 years. He lived in Waukegan, IL, Milwaukee, WI, Bloomington, MN, and then returned to Waukegan. He has resided in Manawa since 1986. He was a member of Manawa United Methodist Church, a 32nd Degree Mason and a member of the Manawa-Weyauwega Masonic Lodge #82 F and AM. His hobby was building grandfather clocks.
    He is survived by his wife, Charlotte; two sons, Leon D. Poole of Piedmont, SC and Glenn (Vicky) Poole of Manawa; three grandchildren, Keith E. (Crystal) Poole of Marion, Wayne N. Poole of Manawa and Jennifer L. (Terry) Simmons of Easley, SC; three great grandchildren, Garret G. Poole, Emily R. Simmons and Katherine S. Simmons; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
    Two brothers, Clare and Neo; and a sister, Ona preceded him in death.
    The funeral will be held at 7 PM Monday, February 12, 2001 at the Cline-Hanson-Dahlke Funeral Home in Manawa with Rev. Warren Dee officiating. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, Hortonville.
    The Manawa-Weyauwega Masonic Lodge #82 F and AM will conduct a Masonic Service at 6 PM Monday at the funeral home. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 PM Monday until the time of the service.
