Obituary:
Ruth H. Mueller, age 91, of New Holstein, died on Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at Century Ridge. She was born May 7, 1921 in the Town of Eaton, daughter of Joseph & Margaret (Heim) Eberle.
She married Siegfred W. Mueller on July 2, 1941 at St. Gregory Catholic Church in St. Nazianz. The couple farmed together in the Town of Charlestown and Ruth also worked at the Eagles Club into her 70's. She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in New Holstein and had previously been a long time member of St. Martin Catholic Church in Charlestown. Ruth had also been a member of the Eagles Auxiliary and the Catholic Financial Life, Charlestown Chapter 194.
She enjoyed reading and sewing and had made many of her own clothes throughout her life. Ruth had always tended a large garden; many of the vegetables would then be frozen or canned and fruits were turned into delicious homemade wines.
Survivors include her children: Robert J. (Jean Marie) Mueller of Menasha, Fr. Roman Mueller of Orangevale, CA, Jim (Erin) Mueller of Ripon; a daughter-in-law: Mary (Steve) Olig of Campbellsport; 11 grandchildren: Jessica (Craig), Jan, Jeffrey (Jill), Jodi, Jolene (Bill), Johann (Claire), Jarvis (Nora), Sherry (Jason), Troy (Kate), Amy (Rob), Travis; 17 great grandchildren with another arriving soon; a sister: JoAnn (John) Petersons of TX; and sisters-in-law: Sister Joan Francis & Ethel Mueller. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Siegfred; a son: Gerald; a sister: Marie; and her brothers: Reinhold, Clemence, Norman, Alvin.
Funeral service will be at 11:00 am on Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church (1724 Madison St.) in New Holstein. Burial will follow in the St. Martin Catholic Cemetery in Charlestown. Friends may call at the Wieting Family Funeral Home (411 W. Main St.) in Chilton from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Tuesday, February 26, 2013 and on Wednesday at the funeral home from 9:30 am until 10:30 am. Prayer services will begin at 7:00 pm on Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
