    Obituary:
    On September 29, 2016, Clifford E. Murphy (Kip), (88) of Duck Creek (Howard), passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family. He was born November 12, 1927 in Freedom, Wisconsin, son of Archibald and Mary (Rentmeester) Murphy. Clifford was raised in Freedom and moved to De Pere as a teenager.
    He married his sweetheart and lifelong love Dolores (Dee) Nowicke on June 10, 1950 at St. John the Baptist Church. Together, they raised seven children in Howard and enjoyed a wonderful life. He was very active in the Catholic Church and faith was an important part of his life. He was also very active at St. Joseph's Church in Allouez for many years and was involved with the Knights of Columbus.
    Clifford was a World War II Veteran and served with the United States occupation forces in Korea. He was also employed at Northern Paper Mill for 42 years and retired in 1990. During his time there he held various positions including Machine Tender, Supervisor, and Union President. In addition, he owned and operated Clifford Murphy Construction and was very active in the Brown County Home Builders Association. He also served a term as the President of the Village of Howard and was a volunteer firefighter. He was active in community service organizations including the Elks Lodge #259 and the Howard-Suamico Optimist Club. He enjoyed hunting, attending high school athletics, gardening and following the Packers.
    Over their 64 years together, Cliff and Dolores loved to travel. They visited Hawaii, Mexico, Jamaica, St. Thomas, Canada, Poland and Israel. For 10 years they wintered in New Smyrna Beach, Florida, and spent every summer weekend at their beloved cottage on Moshawquit Lake.
    He will be sadly missed by his children; Larry (Bonnie) Murphy, Joan (Matt) Waller, Julie (Jerry) Verthein, Jon (Lucy) Murphy, Ann Murphy, Russ (Rebecca) Murphy, Victor (Lynn) Murphy. His sister Carol (Joe) Challe, sisters-in-law Ann Nowicke, Deanna Murphy and brother-in-law, Harry Pluff. His 23 grandchildren; Ryan, Adam, Sean (Jackie), Katie (Rick); Nathan (Alyssa), Lance (Jamie), Mary Beth (Jacob), Philip (Victoria); Alex, Nicole (Troy); Alaina, Bridget, Jack, Riley; Adrian (Molly), Aspen; Maggie, Aaron, Frances; Aidan, Owen, Ava and Griffin. He also leaves behind nine great-grandchildren, Jasmine, Shandi, Kaleb, Paige, Breanna, Alivia, Abigail, Brayden, Quinn and many step-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
    He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Dolores and their infant son, Alan Murphy; his parents, Archibald and Mary Murphy and his siblings Roland, Dorothy, infant Beatrice, Beatrice, Pearl, JoAnn and Ronald.
    Friends may call at the Pfotenhauer Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Howard-Suamico location, 1145 Cardinal Lane, Green Bay, on Monday, October 3, 2016 from 3 until 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Visitation continues on Tuesday, October 4, 9:30 AM at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 2561 Glendale Ave., Howard, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM with the Rev.
