    Obituary:
Stevens Point - Barbara C. Bouvat, 80, Stevens Point, died Friday, June 1, 2018, at Care Partners, Stevens Point, surrounded by family and friends.
She was born Dec. 22, 1937, in Port Edwards, the daughter of the late Joseph and Caroline (Shamanski) Hartmanstorfer.
Barbara lived an incredible life with many up's and down's. Through it all, her strong faith in Jesus Christ allowed her to always look to the bright side. Barbara held many jobs in her life, including being a Nun (yes, a Nun!!), homemaker, factory worker, CNA, medical transporter, and various customer service positions.
Barbara enjoyed spending time with her family and was always quick to remember a story from long ago in great detail. She also very much enjoyed listening and watching a large variety of sports, with the Milwaukee Brewers topping her list.
Survivors include a son, Scott (Dolores) Bouvat, Appleton; a daughter, Carol (Dave) Geisler, Stevens Point; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a brother, John (Pat) Hartmanstorfer, Racine. She was preceded in death by a son, Curtis, 2 daughters, Mary Ellen Staton and Christine Beck, and two sisters, Mary Ann Fredrickson and Joellen Engman.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, June 11, 2018, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, Stevens Point. The Rev. Thomas Lindner will officiate. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. Monday until time of services at the church. Beste Funeral Home, Mosinee, is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences can be made at www.bestefh.com.
Special thanks to the staff at Care Partners for the loving care they gave to Barbara.
