    Obituary:
Rhett Thomas Weyenberg passed away at age 32, on Friday, Sept. 26, 2008, at his home in Madison. Rhett was born June 28, 1976, in Nee- nah, Wis., to Guy Weyenberg and Jill Carlson. He graduated from Neenah High School in 1994 and received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2007. Rhett was a dedicated artist, loyal friend and caring son, brother, uncle and boyfriend. Rhett put intense effort behind his endeavors, from distance running to pressmolding 4,500 ceramics ears for his BFA show, his commitment earned both love and respect from his peers. During his time at UW and after graduation, Rhett's ceramics work was displayed in art shows, galleries and festivals throughout Wisconsin. Journeying by his side through life, art, and illness has been his girlfriend, Sarah Spolum. This past year they opened a ceramics studio, where together they pursued their passion for art. During his initial diagnosis and recurrence, Rhett showed amazing strength, courage and grace in his battle against melanoma. Through it all he maintained a sharp wit and impeccable comedic timing.
Rhett will be greatly missed by his love, Sarah; his sister, Renee; parents, Jill and Guy; brother-in-law, Dave; his niece and nephew, Mya and Cade; and close friends and family, Brett Thomas Weyenberg, Mike Witt, Ryan and Kay Myers and the Spolum family.
Thank you to all our friends and family for your amazing support and love.
Rhett's life will be celebrated at Faith United Methodist Church, 1025 Tullar Rd., Neenah, Wis., 920-722-5842, www. faithchurchneenah.com, on Oct. 3, 2008, beginning with an art display at 3 p.m., service at 4 p.m., followed by a reception at the church.
