Named pastor of St. John's in Little Chute, Wisconsin by Bishop Rhode on Nov. 28, 1915. In 1920, a large new convent was built. In 1928, the school that still serves as the parish grade school was erected. In that year, the high school opened with 23 students. In 1940, an addition was made to the convent and in the fall of 1955, ground was broke for the new high school building.

After 40 years of administration to the spiritual needs of St. John's parish in Little Chute, the Rev. Msgr. John J. Sprangers has announced that he will retire as pastor of the congregation. The beloved priest, a long familiar figure in the village, celebrated his 82nd birthday on September 19, 1955.

Funeral services will be held for Msgr. John J. Sprangers at St. John church, Little Chute, where he served for forty years up to his retirement in 1956. He died at the age of 88.
