Obituary:
Dorothy Rose Meulemans, 97, Green Bay, died peacefully at a local assisted living facility on Dec. 28, 2010. Born on June 20, 1913, in Green Bay, she is the daughter of the late Fred and Emma (Destaercke) Daniels. On Sept. 14, 1935, she married Benedict Meulemans, and he preceded her in death on Oct. 4, 1981. Dorothy was especially proud of raising her five children. She enjoyed gardening, yard work, bowling, and crocheting.

Dorothy is survived by five loving children, Gerrie (John) Dittmer, Green Bay; Mary Lou (Jim) Laws, Chandler, Ariz.; Bob (Char) Meulemans, De Pere; Tom (Pat) Meulemans, Green Bay; and Judy (Tom) Sunderland, Glendora, Calif; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Wilbert (June) Daniels, Art (Florence) Daniels, and Carl (Liz) Daniels; one sister and brother-in-law, Mae (Elmer) Marchant; and one son-in-law, Wally Vanden Busch.
Visitation at MALCORE (East) Funeral Home, University Ave. at Baird St., Monday from 9 a.m. until the time of the procession to church. Funeral Mass 11 a.m. Monday at SS. Peter & Paul Church, 710 N. Baird St., with the Rev. Carl Meulemans and Msgr. Roy Klister officiating. Entombment at Allouez Chapel Mausoleum.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the entire staff at Bishops Court for their compassionate care.
In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, a memorial fund has been established at the funeral home.
