    Donald "Donnie" Herrmann, Sr., 77, formerly of Appleton, died Thursday, January 17, 2008, in Palm Bay, Florida. Don was born February 7, 1930, to the late Emma (Lueders) and Rudolph Herrmann, Sr.
    He is survived by his wife, Patricia Ann Herrmann, sons, Donald Martin Herrmann, Jr. and Gerald Mark (Brenda) Herrmann; daughter, Lisa Carol Herrmann, and grandsons: Donald Martin (Meagan) Herrmann, III, Benjamin Michael Herrmann and Christopher Evan Herrmann. He is further survived by brothers: Rudolph (Marian) Herrmann, Gerald (Sandra) Herrmann, James (Mary) Herrmann and sisters: Helen (Gerald) Shortt, Mildred (Edward) Pagel and Phyllis Bouchard.
    Don served 22 years in the United States Air Force, and was a long time employee of Richs Bakery in Appleton, Wisconsin, and Harris Corporation in Palm Bay, Florida.
    He enjoyed woodworking, painting and talking to his family, especially during the Packers games. He leaves behind a wonderful legacy of hard work, and loving friendship to all he knew. He was a dedicated family man and will be missed by all who came to know him.
    Funeral services were held in Florida, with a memorial service to be scheduled for Appleton in August. Memorials can be made to the American Stroke Foundation in Don's name.
