    Obituary:
Ronald J. "Ron" Green, age 77, of Sheboygan, passed away Friday April 2, 2010 at his home.
Ron was born August 13, 1932 in Oshkosh to the late Frank W. and Mary A. (Hein) Green.
He proudly served his country in the US Navy from 1952-1954. He was stationed out of the Great Lakes Naval Base and served on the USS Coral Sea.
On June 11, 1955 Ron was united in marriage to Eunice E. Mulvey at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Neenah.
Ron earned his Bachelors degree in education for Industrial Arts in 1958 and his Masters Degree in 1966 from Stout State Teachers College. Ron was an educator of Metals and Vocational Tech starting in January of 1958 at Central High School. He then taught at Sheboygan South High School and retired in June of 1987. During Ron's summers, he painted many houses spanning more than 50 years.
Dad loved studying history and was well read in many areas. He enjoyed conversing with family, friends and former students who he would run into about all sorts of topics. He loved being around people and no one could work a room like him. We shall miss our trips to the quarry, camping trips and family gatherings where dad made us all feel special.
Ron was a very active parishioner at St. Dominic Catholic Church. He served on many leadership committees including ushering, Fall Festival, Building and Maintenance and the Parish Council. He sang in the adult choir for many years and also in the funeral choir for many years. Ron used his calligraphy talents for Baptismal Certificates and 8th Grade graduation diplomas. He volunteered in any way possible. He could never say "no". Ron loved his parish.
Ron joined the Concordia Singing Society in 1983 and was recently recognized for his many years of devotion to the Society. Ron was passionate about his involvement with the Concordia Singing Society and considered them an extension of his family. He inherited his love of German singing and music from his mother. He served in many officer positions for the Concordia Singing Society including President, Vice President, Treasurer and Trustee. He was very active in the Wisconsin Sangerbezink serving as Vice President as well as President from 2000 to 2006. Ron was presented with the Helmut Buchmann Award for meritorious service to German singing societies in the State of Wisconsin. Many memories stand out with the Concordia Singers over the years such as friendships forged during the exchange visits with choruses from Germany and the USA. The annual family Christmas party, July 4th picnics and German Night at the Park were treasured memories. He was a great story teller which led to his involvement with the Toastmasters where he served in several leadership positions for many years.
Ron is survived by his loving wife of nearly 55 years, Eunice; daughter, Ann Green (Barbara Johnson); daughter, Megan Johnson, all of Milwaukee; daughter, Sarah Moureau of Green Bay and children, Jacob (Michelle) Urbancic of New Hope, MN and Amanda Urbancic of Cairo, Egypt; son, Daniel (Evelyn) Green of Sheboygan and their children Nicole, Donovan and Peter Green, all of Sheboygan; daughter, Becky (Paul) Passow of Milwaukee and their children, Aaron and Sarah Passow of Milwaukee; son, David (Ellie) Green of Sheboygan and their children, Erika, Erin, Derek and Hannah Green, all of Sheboygan; son, Joe Green of Las Vegas, NV; daughter, Mary (Mike) Vorpahl of Sheboygan and their children, Julia, Arianna, Natalie and Benjamin Vorpahl, all of Sheboygan; and a brother, Gerald (Kaye) Green of Elkton, FL. Ron is further survived by brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law and was well loved by many nieces and nephews.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Lawrence "Lornie" Green; in-laws, Lawrence and Veronica Mulvey; brothers, Tom, Jim, Dave and Dan Green; a sister, Margaret Dod and by brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
Ron's family will greet friends at St. Dominic Catholic Church, 2113 N. 22nd St., Sheboygan on Friday, April 16, 2010. Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, April 17, 2010 at the church with Fr. John Radetski officiating. Burial will follow in the Calvary Cemetery next to his son Lawrence.

~ Don't say good bye, don't close your eyes, please don't leave me alone. I need you, I really want you. Please don't say your final words. You are my life, you rock my world, you mean everything to me. With love, your granddaughter - Sarah Ann Passow ~
