    Obituary:
    Lee Gloudemans, Thomas Twp., Michigan.
Beloved husband, father, Papa, brother, uncle and friend passed away Sunday afternoon, Feb. 23, 2014. Age 81 years. The son of the late Wallace (Bob) Gloudemans and Mildred (nee Erickson), Lee was born April 6, 1932, in Little Chute, Wis. He was born at home and he died at home, surrounded by love. Lee served his country as a pilot in the United States Navy , he graduated from St. Norbert College and worked for Hartford Insurance for over 30 years. It was a transfer in this career that brought him to Saginaw in 1966, where he met his sweetheart and wife, Mary Lou Loviska Tenney. They married on June 1, 1968, starting an instant family with her children. They were active members of Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Lee loved Big Band and Dixieland music, was an avid organic gardener and could be seen "puttering" in his yard during all seasons. Residents of Shields may also recognize Lee from his daily four-mile walks around town. Although a long-time Michigan resident, Lee never lost his love for the Green Bay Packers. He also loved spending time Up North at the cottage with his family, manning the grill and playing with his grandsons. Lee was an incredibly generous man who loved his family fiercely.
Surviving to cherish his memory are: his wife of 45 years, Mary Lou; his children, three amazing men that are his legacy, Steve Tenney, Saginaw; John (Mandi) Tenney, St. Charles; Eric (Tracie) Gloudemans, Ferndale; and daughters, Barb (Bill) Luongo, Flint; Julie Petrick, Flint; and his personal "cruise director", Laura (Mark) Cassar, Rochester Hills; 14 grandchildren, Kara, Derek, Will, Mary, Laury, Ben, David, Tim, Jacob, Dani, Dominic, Christian, Stevie and Charlie; sister, Jackie Sickel, Green Bay, Wis.; sisters-and-brother-in-law, Anne Bates, Bay City; Kathy Loviska, Saginaw; Bill and Blanche Loviska, Port St. Lucie, Fa.; and many nieces and nephews. Lee was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers-in-law, Cal Sickel and Larry Loviska; and a nephew, Dan Sickel. The Gloudemans family would like to thank Hospice of Michigan and Almost Heaven Home Care for their loving service.
Funeral Liturgy will take place at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 27, 2014, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Rev. Fr. Peter Gaspeny will officiate with burial in St. Mary's Cemetery in Albee Township. Friends may call at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd., Saginaw, MI 48603, (between Shattuck and McCarty), where the family will be present on Wednesday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and on Thursday at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of Mass. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital Holy Spirit Catholic Church or the charity of donor's choice.
