    Buchanan Town Chairman Dies John Grafmeier, 57, Had Served on County Board Since 1925
    John Grafmeier, 57, town of Buchanan chairman and member of the Outagamie county board since 1925, died at 10:40 this morning at his home, route 3, Kaukauna. He had been ailing for about 10 weeks. Mr. Grafmeier was born in Freedom and had lived on a famr near Kaukauna since childhood. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic church, Kaukauna, and of the Men's Catholic Order of Foresters of the church.
    As a member of the county board, Mr. Grafmeier served on the majority of important committees and was at present a member of the executive committee.
    Survivors include the widow, three sons, Carlyn, Mark and John Grafmeier, Jr., all at home.
    Arrangements for the funeral have not been completed.

    Obituary:
    Mark M. Grafmeier, 97, De Pere, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday morning, May 3, 2015. The son of the late John and Margaret "Maggie" (Klein) Grafmeier was born on July 5, 1917 in Kaukauna, WI. One of Mark's early jobs was that of a milkman, delivering the milk with a team of horses. This started a lifelong love of horses that would always be with him. He especially enjoyed horse pulling, and was a judge of equine events. As a young man, Mark joined the US Navy, and was recruited as a Sea Bee, operating heavy equipment and helping to make military runways. He also was employed by the United Auto Workers as a Union Organizer which sent him to Lower Michigan. Upon his return to Wisconsin, Mark was employed by Brown County Highway Department as a heavy machinery operator until his retirement. In his retirement, he spent time in Florida, watching horse events and going to breakfasts with his friends, and enjoyed an occasional steak dinner with family.
    Mark is survived by Dorothy "Sis" Grafmeier; two daughters, Karen Stuyvenberg, Kimberly, WI; Gail "Gigi" Bailey-Rahmlow (Bob Rahmlow), Maribel, WI; nine grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Harriet Smits; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
    He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Lorraine Grafmeier; son-in-law, Gerald "Jerry" Stuyvenberg; a great granddaughter, Jenna; two brothers, Karl and Jack; as well as sisters-in-law, Ida and Betty.
    Friends and family are encouraged to gather at RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 305 North Tenth Street, De Pere, WI on Wednesday, May 6, 2015 beginning at 3:00pm. A funeral service will follow at 6:00pm with Deacon Mike Vander Bloomen officiating. Please visit www.ryanfh.com to send online condolences to the family.

    John Grafmeier, 117 N. John St. Kimberly. Age 74, died unexpectedly Tuesda y, June 27, 1995 at his home. He was born July 30, 1920 in Kaukauna, the s on of the late John and Margaret (Klein) Grafmeier. Jack was a gradua te of Kaukauna School Class of 1938. He had served with the United State ds Navy during WWII. Jack married Elizabeth Weyenberg on October 2, 19 46 at St.John's Catholic Church, Little Chute. He had been employed at Hof fer Glass, Appleton and was half owner and operator of Service Glass and A luminum, Neenah until 1976. In 1977, he started All Sports Uniform and Let tering, Little Chute. He was active until his retirement in 1982. He w as a avid fast-pitch softball fan and player. Jack was instrumental in get ting the World Softball Tournament to Kimberly and was the tournament dire ctor for the first five tournaments. He remained on as a Commissioner a nd world tournament advisor for the ISC International Softball Congres s. He was instrumental in getting the ISC Hall of Fame to Kimberly and w as the Curator. He was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1985. Jack w as twice named the recipient of the Forgotten Man Award at the Red Smith D inner. The KRA horored him with a plaque on the press box at Sunset Park ' The House That Jack Built'. He was a member of Holy Name Catholic Churc h, the Catholic Foresters. He was a 50 year member of the William Verhag en Post 60 of the American Legion and Electric City Post 3319 VFW Kaukaun a. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Betty, his two children, Jean a nd John Timm, Darboy, John Grafmeier Jr., Kimberly, 7 grand-children, Chri s, Michelle, and Nicole Timm, Cathy, Brad, Andy and Jackie Friebel, a br other and a sister in-law Mark and Lorie Grafmeier Kaukauna, numerous niec es and nephews. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Pat Friebel in 19 87 and a brother, Carl (Ida) Grafmeier.

    Ronald J. Grafmeier, age 74, passed away peacefully on December 3, 2015. He was born on January 12, 1941, son of the late Carl and Ida (Kerkoff) Grafmeier. Ron worked at Badger Northland for over 35 years.
    He is survived by his children: Steve, Brian, Duane (Wendy), Dan (Julie) and Anne; grandchildren: Paul (Jessica), Kaitlin, Brett, Jack, Travis and Alariss; great granddaughter, Emily; siblings: Lois (Jerome) Evers, Jerry Grafmeier and Carol Tennessen.
    Ron was preceded in death by his brother, Dan, and the mother of his children, Pat.
    Private family services will be held at a later date.
