Kons, Raymond H.Raymond H. Kons, of Little Chute, died Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, Novemb er 24, 2005, at St. Elizabeth Hospital at the age of 82. Raymond was bo rn in Little Chute April 6, 1923, son of the late John and Odelia (Schauma nn) Kons. On Thanksgiving Day, November 26, 1942, he married Alyce Scho ol at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, Little Chute, where he was a li felong member. Raymond was a World War II Army Veteran and a 61-year memb er of the Jacob Coppus American Legion Post #258, Little Chute. He was a b eater engineer at the Thilmany mill until his retirement in 1978 aft er 34 years of service. He was a member of the Quarter Century Club and t he Catholic Order of Foresters. Raymond enjoyed tinkering with cars, hunti ng, fishing, camping, playing cards and lawn work. He especially enjoyed s pending time with his family and always had a soft spot for his pets. He w ill be remembered for his sense of humor.Raymond is survived by his wife of almost 63 years, Alyce; three childre n, Doreen Rae (Marshall) Knutson, of Kaukauna; Bonnie Sue (Daniel) Van Lan en, of Kaukauna; and Kevin Richard (Lori) Kons, of Little Chute; eight gra ndchildren, Stephanie Knutson, John (Kelly) Knutson, Eugene Van Lanen, Sha nnon Van Lanen, Jered Van Lanen, Robert Kons, Kayla Kons, and Ross Kons; t wo step grandchildren, Mike (Missy) Knutson and Jodi Mader; one great-gran dson, Riley Knutson; two step great-grandchildren, Mackenzie and Allyss a; step-mother Minnie LeNoble Kons; and four siblings, Laverne Bongers, Cl arence (Sally) Kons, Connie Ballard and "Rita" Sophie Fischer. He is al so survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.In addition to his parents, Raymond was preceded in death by siblings, Art hur Kons, Bud Kons and Emily Ballard; brothers and sisters-in-law, Fran Ko ns, Paul Ballard, Bud Ballard, Ed Bongers and Alois Fischer.The Funeral Mass will be at 5 p.m. Monday, Nov. 28, 2005, at St. John Nepo mucene Catholic Church, Little Chute. The Rev. Patrick Beno will officiat e. Deacon Vincent De Groot will assist. Military rites will be perform ed by the Jacob Coppus American Legion Post #258, Little Chute immediate ly following the Mass. Friends may call at church Monday after 3 p.m. unt il the time of Mass. Committal Holy Cross Cemetery.The Kons family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of S t.
