    Ila Mae Langenhuizen, age 87, passed on peacefully Sunday morning, July 21, 2013 at Theda Care At Home Hospice. Ila Mae was born in Kimberly, June 15, 1926 to Joe and Regina Friebel. She met George Langenhuizen at the Cincerella Ballroom in 1941 and their love story continued with their marriage on February 23, 1946 at Holy Name Church, Kimberly. Ila Mae was a dedicated mother of seven children and a faithful supporter of George, helping manage their home construction and apartment business. Ila Mae and George spent sixty-four years together with many time-outs for fishing in Michigan and Minnesota with their family and later enjoying their winters in Arizona. An avid crocheter, Ila Mae lovingly created afghans, scarves and hats which were given to her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and Harbor House Domestic Abuse Program.
    She is survived by her seven children: Tom (Jean) Langenhuizen of Kimberly; Ron (Delilah) Langenhuizen of Palmer, Alaska; Lyle Langenhuizen of Big Falls, Wisconsin; Nancy Langenhuizen of Appleton; Mark (LuAnn) Langenhuizen of Kaukauna; Jane (Vic) Werner of Hortonville; and Lori (Jim) Van Dyke of Kimberly; 15 grandchildren; Karyn (Rick) Rittenhouse, Bill Langenhuizen, Tim Langenhuizen, Jennifer (Jason) Green, Sarah (Lucas) Van Buskirk, Bill (Angie) Hanselman, Bob (Tammy) Hanselman, Melinda (Nick) Lamphere, Catherine (Steve) Johannes, Christina (Joe) Stiehm, George (Amanda Janssen) Langenhuizen, Dawn Werner, Mike (Abby) Werner and Michelle (Rob) Best. There are also seventeen great grandchildren: Morgan, Kobi, Grace, Samantha, Savanah, Peyton, Liam, Payton, Chase, Hannah, Alaina, Ethan, Hannah, Jackson, Hunter, Deja and Brody. Ila Mae is further survived by a brother: Dick Friebel; a sister: Margaret Greely and a brother-in-law: Harry Langenhuizen. She was preceded in death by her parents: Joe and Regina Friebel; a brother: Romie and a sister: Dorothy "Sis" Langenhuizen.
    The funeral liturgy will be held at 12:00 Noon on Friday, July 26 at Holy Spirit/Holy Name Church, 600 E. Kimberly Avenue, Kimberly with Fr. Bob Kollath officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
    The Langenhuizen family is very grateful for all the exceptional services provided by the Theda Care at Home Hospice team, the nursing staffs at Peabody Manor and the Heritage with special recognition to Dawn Werner for her superior, caring skills which gave Ila Mae so much comfort. Your gift is a blessing to the family.
    A special thanks to Tom and Jean for being close by Mom and Dad over the years.

    Jerome Friebel, "Old Man Winnebago," 76, passed away on Saturday, May 8, 2010, at home. Jerome was born on August 20, 1933, to Joseph and Regina (Hooyman) Friebel. He served in the U.S. Navy for four years from 1952 until 1956 onboard the USS Ellison; afterwards he worked at Kimberly-Clark until his retirement. Romie then owned and operated the R K Corral in Stockbridge. He was an avid sportsman and his passion was fishing.
    Romie is survived by six children; Curtis Friebel, Menasha, Robert (Kathleen) Friebel, Kaukauna, Debbie (Dave) Korth, Menasha, Jeff (Gail) Friebel, St. Augustine, FL, Keith (Denise) Friebel, Weyauwega, Tanya Fink; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; a brother, Richard "Dick" Friebel; two sisters: Ilamae (George) Langenhuizen and Margaret (Jim) Greely; his former wife, Barbara Bethke; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
    Romie was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister Dorothy "Sis" Langenhuizen.
    A memorial service for Romie will be held on Thursday, May 13, 2010, at 6 p.m. at the JANSEN FARGO FUNERAL HOME, with military rites to follow the services. A time of visitation will be held on Thursday, May 13, 2010, from 4 p.m. until the time of services at the Funeral Home.

    Lyle G. Langenhuizen, age 64 of the Town of Wyoming, Waupaca County, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, September 30, 2015.
    Lyle was born on November 21, 1950 in Kimberly, WI as the son of the late George and Ila Mae (Friebel) Langenhuizen. He graduated from Kimberly High School in 1969 and earned a degree in Carpentry from Fox Valley Tech. Throughout his life, Lyle became an awesome carpenter; starting from his early days working for his father's carpentry business. He took pride in building his current home by hand with the materials his land provided. Lyle worked for a few different places during his career, was a member of the Carpenter Local 955 Union, and retired in 2006. He was an avid outdoorsman; spending countless hours hunting and fishing. Lyle was also a loyal fan of the Green Bay Packers and Milwaukee Brewers. He loved spending time with his family and friends, especially when it came to time with his grandchildren. He was a great step-father and a good friend to many.
    Survivors include: his stepsons, Robert Hanselman, Kiel; & Bill (Angie) Hanselman, Neenah; grandchildren, Payton & Chase Hanselman; sisters, Nancy Langenhuizen, Appleton; Jane (Vic) Werner, Hortonville; & Lori (Jim) Van Dyke, Kimberly; brothers, Tom (Jean) Langenhuizen, Kimberly; Ron (Delilah) Langenhuizen, Tuscon, AZ; Mark (LuAnn) Langenhuizen, Kaukauna; special friend, Mary Hedtke, Appleton.
    Lyle was also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, and his maternal & paternal grandparents.
    A celebration of Lyle's Life will be held Sunday, October 18, 2015 from 1 PM - 3 PM at the Northwinds Banquet Hall, 1103 N. Main Street, Marion, WI 54950.     Appleton - Our mother, Nancy Susan Langenhuizen, at 63 years young, went to heaven on Thursday, March 8th, 2018. She was wrapped tightly in the arms of her three daughters, Melinda, Catherine, and Christina while they had a chance to tell her how much she was loved and say their goodbyes. The disease that stole her away was ruthless and devastating, but her heart was beating strong until her final breaths. She lived her life with dignity and grace even until the end; gone too young, too soon, and too good of a person to leave this life. Nancy was a gem in this world and well-known for her strength and independence.
    Nancy was born July 5th, 1954 to George and Ilamae Langenhuizen, the youngest of "3 rotten brothers," as she'd joke. Raised as a Kimberly Papermaker, she couldn't wait to leave her hometown in Wisconsin to pursue a career. She completed her Associates Degree at Fox Valley Technical College while working at Night Hawk's and Cleo's in Appleton. She took pride in being able to purchase her own car, after working hard in HR and Administration at Kimberly Clark, and later supporting a pharmaceutical company and legal firm.
    Mom's life transformed when she moved to New Milford, CT and became a mother to her babies. She made dear friends and enjoyed raising her three daughters as a stay-at-home Mom. In Connecticut, she shared her love of sewing and smocking by teaching classes during the evenings. Ten years later, life brought her back home to the Fox Valley where she ran a very successful and reputable specialty store called, Soccer Plus and Sports Connection. She was an admirable business woman and skilled entrepreneur, owning apartments, "The Store," and a wedding decoration business.
    Our Mom loved to plant flowers every spring and enjoyed beautiful fall colors. Her four hanging baskets were always kept watered and her blooming tulips were like something out of a magazine. She was often found sitting on her front porch, especially when storms were rolling in. In the mornings, she liked her coffee brewed at home and ended many nights cuddling with her beloved grandkids. We heard her tell funny stories about playing blackjack at the casino and about special road trips she took with her sister. Our Mom was a strong swimmer, she loved the Packers, and always took great care of her car. What we believe she will be remembered for most are the ways she made others feel special with open ears and open arms to have genuine heart-to-hearts that made lasting friendships. She did all of this while always flying by the seat of her pants.
    Surpassing all the ways she made others around her feel special, our Mom spent every single day making sure we, her daughters, were surrounded by love. Our days were filled with everything from the tough love with her beautiful nails, to the unconditional love with her wise words of guidance. She taught us how to be strong and confident through heartbreak and taught us how to be humble and kind as we "pick and choose battles." And our Mom always reminded us of the importance of family. She was the best Mother three little girls could have ever asked for.
    Nancy is survived by her three daughters Melinda (Nick) Lamphere, Catherine Johannes and Christina (Joe) Stiehm. Her grandchildren, Hannah, Alaina, Jackson, and Ethan. Her siblings, Tom (Jean) Langenhuizen, Ron (Dee) Langenhuizen, Mark (LuAnn) Langenhuizen, Jane (Vic) Werner, and Lori (Jim) Van Dyke, and numerous nieces and nephews. Mom sewed herself some wings and joined her parents, George and Ilamae and brother Lyle up in Heaven.
    In lieu of flowers, Nancy would like you to "take your money" and go out to eat with your loved ones or go make a special day together in her memory. She told us all the time that life is precious and you should be grateful for each and every day. To celebrate Nancy's favorite time of the year and with spring right around the corner, we hope you can wear bright, beautiful colors when we come together to honor her life.
    We invite loved ones, family, and friends to her Celebration of Life at 4:00 pm on Saturday, March 17th at WICHMANN, 537 N. Superior Street, Appleton, WI. A time of visitation will be held from 2:00 pm until the time of service. We would be grateful to hear a little memory or story while we are gathered to honor this beautiful and intelligent woman we were blessed to call Mom.     Obituary:
    Debbie Lynne Korth, age 59, passed away at her home while surrounded by friends and family on Sunday, October 16, 2016. She was born and raised in Appleton, the only daughter of Jerome and Barbara (Bethke) Friebel. On January 26, 1979, she married David Korth at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Appleton. Debbie spent her time caring for their four children while also helping Dave with their family business.
    Debbie enjoyed sewing, crafting and taking family road trips across the country. She also enjoyed gardening and took pride in her beautiful yard. Debbie looked forward to family gatherings, and loved cooking and hosting Thanksgiving dinner. She most looked forward to the Christmas season when she was able to display her talents in decoration while running the family Christmas tree and wreath business. Debbie took pride in passing along these talents to her entire family who will continue her legacy. She loved spending time on the water and fishing, especially weekends at Pelican Lake for many years and more recently on Wheeler Lake with her family. Most importantly, Debbie was dedicated to her children and grandchildren. She loved attending their sporting events and cheering on the Menasha Blue Jays. She always pushed and encouraged her children to be the best they can be.
    Debbie is survived by her husband, Dave Korth; children: Sheina (Fiancé, Kevin) Korth, Jeramie (Krysta) Korth, Chad (Special Friend, Jessica) Korth, Craig (Amanda) Korth; grandchildren: Alyx, Tayler, Ashlyn, AJ, Camden, Josie, Payton, Rowan, Khloee and Dawsyn; her mother: Barbara Bethke; siblings: Curt (Sharon) Friebel, Robert (Kathleen) Friebel, Jeffery (Gail) Friebel, Keith (Denise) Friebel. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
    Debbie was preceded in death by her father, Jerome Friebel.
    A celebration of Debbie's life will be from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Pullman 619 S. Olde Oneida St., Appleton on Saturday, November 5, 2016. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Debbie Korth Memorial Fund.
    Debbie's family wishes to thank their friends, Lyn, Kathleen and Denise for the care and support they provided to the entire family. Debbie was thankful for the time she was able to spend with her brothers in the past year. Also, thank you to the nurses and staff at ThedaCare at Home Hospice for the care given to Debbie in the past two weeks.
